Harry Potter: A Fan Fiction - Volume 1 Chapter 33 Unfilial Descendant
“Child. Can you hear me?”
A voice echoed inside his head.
“Yes. I can hear you old man. What do you want from me?”
Humph*
“Unfilial child! Do you wish to dishonor your ancestors!?”
There was a clear anger in the voice that was directly transmitted inside his head, like a grandfather who is dissatisfied with his grandchild he sounded almost like berating Viktor for his blatant disrespect.
“Old man. Don’t give me that filial shi* coz I don’t give a damn about it. You are invading my head without permission right now, so if you want respect then earn it from me. Explain to me why you are here, if you won’t then prepare to be mind r.a.p.ed coz I will dig for answers myself!!!”
It resounded like a domineering king inside his castle hall that demands obedience from his subjects.
“Hahahaha. Kid, you are unbelievable. The last line of my blood. The chosen one. What happened to you? You are very dark in nature have you perhaps suffered greatly? That would be impossible….. ”
The old man mumbled to himself with a pondering look and a frown in his forehead.
On the other hand.
This statement shocked Viktor to no end while thinking whether he is really talking to a Krum ancestor or a Draconov.
“Show yourself! Do you want to play hide and seek here inside my head? I promise you that it won’t be as much fun as you thought.”
Viktor was not afraid. Of all the defenses he’s made, he had the most faith in the defenses he placed inside his head. If he was defeated in his own turf, then that’s just how it is, the end, everyone eventually reaches an end, but Viktor wasn’t going to depart without a fight.
“Fine. I did not expect that the child chosen by destiny is such a sharp tongued brat.”
The figure appeared inside his head, finally showing his image form to Viktor who had been very patient with the mind invader. It was an old man with dry, long, white hair, he wore a white toga, he had gentle eyes, a proud nose, and a strong chin. He looked very familiar to Viktor for some reason, and he felt no ill will coming from the image as he probed it with his mind.
“Great. Now we can finally talk properly. You look familiar. Do I know you somehow old man? My head is literally screaming at me right now and is telling me that you are someone with an important connection with me.”
Viktor looked seriously curious as he stated his claim. The old man on the other hand simply closed his eyes.
“Hmmm. Fine. I really don’t have a say on who fate chooses to be my successor anyway…. First, let me introduce myself. My name…. is….. Merlin…. Merlin Ambrosius. The enchanter, the dragon tamer, the bringer of light, the guardian of Gaia and your great great great great great grandfather.”
Merlin’s form slightly bent and spread his arms like a diva.
‘Tsk. Poser.’ Viktor tutted in his head, he was already ashamed of his ancestry from this alone.
“If you are who you claim to be, and you truly are my ancestor, then what does that makes me? What am I? I for one am surely not human! Who am I, and what do you want from me?”
There was a mixture of cynicism, sarcasm and pure curiosity in his voice as he asked the one who claimed to be Merlin.
“Hahaha that is great!!! Boy!!! You are more than what I have ever hoped for!!! Smart yet quiet and humble, powerful but is calm and calculating, only someone like you can right the wrongs I have done during my time in this plane. What we are, hmmm…. a question I have asked myself a couple of times without coming up to a proper answer or conclusion, I used to believe that we are a branch of neo-humans with greater thought capacity and potential who branched out from the muggles, but now I think we are artificial beings with a mixture of different race characteristics like the dragon’s body, the phoenix’s magic, the wolf’s regeneration, and others for we are similar and are much more than what they could ever be.
Now what I want. Is for you to stop my sister. Morgana. She was banished by yours truly from this realm but I have prophesied afterwards that she will once again return with more power and a renewed hatred for those who are of not the same origin as she is.”
“Old man. If you thought I am but a naive child then you are mistaken. I am not related to you at all or by any chance. Why should I believe what a mind invader like you says? You are of more than a cause of danger to me than some non-existent witch who is supposed to have died at least a thousand years ago. Now leave! Leave before I grind whatever it is you are and obliterate you from inside my head.”
Sigh*
Merlin (claimant) looked defeated by the stance and behaviour of his supposed descendant. He looked down for a short while to think, looked straight into Viktor’s eyes and once again spoke.
“Then at the very least listen to what I have to say.”
The claimant said with a pleading tone.
“Fine. Then you can scram afterwards.”
“Morgana. My sister. The death bringer was banished from this realm in the past as I couldn’t bring myself to cause her pain. She was sent somewhere else. Somewhere far. But she did not forget about what happened and instead grew in power in order to get her vengeance from me and the muggles. She will return. With a whole army of demons behind her. Viktor, child, whether you like it or not, you are without a doubt my descendant, as only someone of my blood can open the puzzle that I have especially designed. I am Merlin the enchanter after all. So prepare, prepare and stop Morgana once and for all. Protect the realm. As it is your duty from the moment you are chosen by the KEYSTONE.”
The old man was clearly looking at the black ring in his right index finger with a mysterious smile.
‘Keystone!’
“Alright I will heed your warning… under one condition.”
The old man’s lips are about to curl but stopped midway.
“What condition?” He asked.
“You have to willingly let me read your memories.” Viktor smilingly answered.
“Wha… What do you mean scry my memories? Are you truly deprived to have such an inclination as to read one’s mind just to feel comfort with the truth? No way!!!”
“Then we’ll have to do it the hard way.”
