Harry Potter: A Fan Fiction - Volume 1 Chapter 34 Soulseed
Mystery Egg POV
If you were wondering what I am then I will explain it to you in a manner that you can understand.
I am a being mostly referred to as GOD by most sentient species.
More specifically, I am an evil God. Devourer of worlds.
You must be thinking ‘God? Gimme a break what is an oh so great God doing inside an egg then?’.
To be honest.
This ‘egg’ as you call it is actually a ‘soulseed’. A soulseed is simply a mode for me and other Gods where we take a part of the soul power and send it to a different realm which we then will conquer to gain more power and upgrade ourselves into higher levels. Just imagine a tree bearing its fruits. Yeah, very much like that.
If I can become a God of two worlds then these worlds will merge and create a much stronger world which in turn makes me its God more powerful or sometimes gives me more authority.
Conquering worlds has become a hobby of mine as it gets quite boring when time passes and you have close to infinite lifespan.
New worlds are incredible and some are even dangerous. Places with tight competition between God’s and other beings are especially brutal. Some places are very suitable for conquest (worlds with magic) and some are incapable of supporting the minute amount of power within the container and thus the soulseed dies (worlds without magic).
My original intention was to take over the mind of the first person who touched my container after its incubation period and slowly digest him until we can fully synchronize so as to make the body not reject me which is a foreign soul.
All is well and good for this particular soulseed. The incubation period which lasts at most fifty years passed without a hitch and somebody with capacity for magic touched it, fulfilling the condition for soul hijacking.
The problem is that when I entered his mind scape it was me who was almost taken over with shock.
Burned to death.
Tortured.
Sun dried to death.
Locked up in a dark void.
Locked up in a bright expanse of endless space.
Eaten by insects.
The kid’s mind scape is like a world in its own. A whole world of mazes and traps that ranged from being flicked with a booger which is simply gross to endless torture which can lead to mental death. The whole mind scape is especially designed to prevent unauthorised access and exit to his true memories.
They aren’t capable of causing that much of a problem for me but others would be foaming at the mouth already. As I went through each trap, it got harder and harder for me, like it was slowly adapting to my attacks. I then realised that it would take me my entire energy reserve to scour this whole place and still be unable to find, devour nor suppress even a tiny bit of of his mind for me to take over. The more rational solution is to bulshit my way and hope that he lets me out of here to find a different host.
Seriously, who would have enough time among mortals to design a fake memory to perfection? Adding weight to a fake memory of a sword and a unique scent to leather to a shoe can be very time and energy consuming. What more when you have to design a whole world? It was, an inhuman ability that surpassed even some minor wild Gods.
Fight him? Hell no! I choose the younger ones for a reason that they tend to be weakest in mind arts and are quite easy to suppress.
“Child, can you hear me?”
I went with the ‘chosen one’ bulshit as it is quite clear that this kid even with a powerful mind might still be inexperienced in dealing with others. Geniuses are highly gullible after all, they are easily swayed with the right words.
Now hopefully, the fish bites.
“You must be mistaken. I am not your descendant. You have two choices, be a good old man and let me read your memories or I will forcefully do it myself.”
Shit. Shit hit the fan. I guess that’s it for this one. Oh look, one of my seeds are released! What are the chances? Let’s see if I can get a better chance at this one.
