Harry Potter: A Fan Fiction - Volume 1 Chapter 36 Ominous Clouds
“A Golden Wizarding Era”
Dumbles picked up the newspaper delivered by an owl to his office and looked at the headline with seriousness. Just as the news headline says, there has been quite a few very exceptional students among those enrolled in Hogwarts and they are quickly gathering influence.
Such prodigies who excelled in all subjects be they theoretical or practical never appeared in batches before but now they are a dime a dozen so he could not help but feel very suspicious and worried about his plans at the same time.
What’s more is that these geniuses did not just appear at Hogwarts, there are reports from countries all over the world such as the America, Egypt, Japan, China, India, France etc. this unprecedented event is something to be celebrated if not for all the weirdness that accompany these geniuses. They are too perfect.
One such genius is Nathaniel Romanovich who excelled greatly in all subjects and most brilliantly in Potioneering. The Potions professor are even complaining about how the boy can make perfect potions with enhanced effects and even create new recipes like he is cutting cabbages. An orphan boy adopted into a small family of wizards is now the head of a very promising Potion company.
His twin sister on the other hand Miss Natasha Romanovich can easily be called a great prodigy in Enchantments that has already surpassed the level of upper class students in the entirety of Hogwarts. Like her twin brother, she also established a small company for producing enchanted items.
These two being all that would have been quite normal but for so many of them that are now establishing companies here and there like sprouting mushrooms without being able to get even a tiny bit of a share is alarming for a control freak such as Dumbles. His attempts at planting spies inside are also proven futile as they are quickly snuffed out.
‘It feels like I am dancing under someone else’s music… What could it be? Something is wrong and I am oblivious to it.’
Sigh*
‘I’m getting old.’

“Headmaster, Gillert Grindelwald is reportedly seen walking around in Diagon Alley and is openly recruiting wizards for his cause. What are we going to do Albus? The ministry is incapable, the aurors they sent are all decimated without even putting up a proper fight and the citizens are afraid and are losing their trust in the ministry of magic.”
Vice-Headmaster Minerva McGonagall barged into the Headmaster’s office and worriedly reported to Dumbledore about Gillert’s activities in Diagon Alley. Dumbledore simply sat dazed in his chair as he massaged his temples.
“I will go. Contact our friends and ask for support. It may as well be the start of war if we can’t stop him from what he is doing.”
Dumbledore grabbed his elder wand, stood up and flooed in the fireplace with a solemn expression.
“They say I advocate war! I do not! What I advocate is a world where wizards and muggles can coexist. A world free of discrimination and of foul will against our kind. Deside fast my brethren, my sisters, for the muggles are not as weak as we thought them to be. They are not capable of magic, but that doesn’t mean that they are not capable of war. Behold…. The muggle world!”
*Swoosh
Winds blew and the clouds reached down to become a gigantic screen that shows the world of muggles. Tall buildings, carriages without horses, bright lights, flying machines, weapons of mass destruction and many more are shown which shocked the whole crowd who gathered to see Grindelwald.
“Come, join me! Let us restart our cause and reign supreme before the muggles decides that our species is too dangerous to keep and blast us with one of those ‘nuclear bombs’. Do you still not see the bigger picture?”
*Sigh
‘This never gets easier.’
