Harry Potter: A Fan Fiction - Volume 1 Chapter 47 Vamps Ii
October 26, 1991.Romania, in an underground base of the vampire Lord William.
Bam*
Vampire Lord William slammed the thick luxurious wooden table out of frustration. Someone is targeting his kind and he was late to notice what has been happening. The attackers are somewhat similar to a werewolf but are more hairy, more muscular, more dangerous than anything they have ever seen or heard of before. They were murdering his kin like lambs and they had to employ to their hidden ace they painstakingly prepared for battling the wizardkind just to repell their attacks. Now everyone has been recalled to their underground bases and not allowed to roam the earth on their own, it would have been an all out war had they had a whiff of idea of who’s behind this attacks but none such wonderful thing happened, the enemy was very good at keeping their tracks hidden and all they could find are dead ends.
“What are the current losses for the summoned antmen warriors?”
“Half of the sixty thousand antmen warriors we summoned are either captured or killed in the previous battle Lord William, we are still negotiating with the ambassador for the Queen but his demands are rather… absurd. But since the werewolves has stopped their seige, I think we can just delay this deal for now.”
The one who answered was Edward, William’s friend and adviser. Edward looked like a man in his twenties but he had been in existence from six hundred years ago and had seen much of the world.
“What do they require of us this time to deploy more antmen warriors?”
William asked. The antmen were summoned because the sacrifices made is acceptable, but something that Edward labels as ‘absurd’ would not be an understatement of any kind. The antmen must have struck a nerve.
“The ambassador requires large numbers of sacrifice this time aside from the warp stones to open a port gate they even specified at least a thousand a.d.u.l.t wizards for the ritual.”
William’s face grew somber clearly angered as questions burst out from him.
“What? They required a thousand wizards? Where do you think we’ll be able to find a hundred a.d.u.l.t wizard to sacrifice without paying blood of our kin for it? Do they think that the wizards will take this lying down? Those wizards has been hounding us to make one false move to eradicate us all in one fell swoop. A thousand a.d.u.l.t wizard is something very difficult to conceal. Those ants are planning something shady, I say they are preparing for something big. What’s your take on this Edward?”
There was a anger in William’s voice when he asked but he was forcefully definitely calming himself down to make a proper decision during this crucial moment for the survival of their race. To which Edward could only sigh and close his eyes, he knew William is only worried about the future of his kin and will do everything to give them a better future.
“The ants are definitely up to no good this time. I think they are either planning to send a huge number of soldier ants or, they are most likely planning to send out a new queen candidate to our realm.”
William nodded his head in agreement the shadow realm dwellers are indeed people who he could not put his faith in.
“What about those wolf-like things? Did our research team manage to work out what they are? Why are they targeting us specifically?”
William had an expectant look on his face. His researchers who are hundreds of years old rarely failed to give him tangible results and he was very proud of them.
“Although we have failed to acquire a whole sample, we at least managed to collect severed parts such as heads and limbs. The research team are handling this matter and will give us a report once a discovery has been made. As for why they are targeting us, that is still a mystery till now.”
“Were we able to determine why their bodies disappeared when they died?”
“It is highly likely due to this.”
Edward projected a wolfman wearing a full golden set of equipment with a red cape behind them.
“We believe that due to the equipment they wore being full of enchantments, it should have a function that enables it to teleport with the body when the wearer dies similar to the artifacts once made by the ancient goblins. To where? We don’t know.”
‘Enchanted armors?’ Enchanted armors aren’t that amazing, they are expensive and inefficient. Everyone around wanted to refute but couldn’t as there are no other options at the moment to explain how the dead of the enemy disappeared.
“If that is the case then that’s bad news for us. We don’t have a clue about who or what the enemy is and our ally is plotting something behind our backs while we fight… Ask the other Lords if they are willing to cooperate with us, warn the other clans of the incoming disaster, they should be the ones that follow after we fall. See if we can get their help. This enemy is strong even for the oh so mighty wizards who thinks they’re the top dog here in this realm. Deny their request from the antmen ambassador politely if needed, but delay it as much as possible… we still have a use for these insects. We will burn this world to the ground with us when we fall, so let them come!”
William’s gaze grew resolute and fierce, he wasn’t planning to go down without putting up a good fight and die with some dignity.
There are big movements from the side of the vampires and the other forces who are naturally curious became aware of the events that has been occurring around the vampire clans.
The goblins in particular are very much paranoid about these events that are occurring under the veil of night with utmost secrecy. Helsing’s demise has been an open secret for quite a long time now, the three Lords of Romania even offered a hefty sum of galleons to those who can give them information back then with nothing to show even after a long time.
The wizards are of course the very first to be suspected as the perpetrators for this massacre but the lack of evidence tied the tongue of the victims or those who tried to investigate the matter.
