“I will have to disappoint you this time…”

“Say hi to my new toys… Hahaha go entertain our guest!”
About a hundred gigantic insects looking creatures appeared behind Viktor, they rushed to where Bangkai stood with a great fearless charge. On close inspection, the creatures didn’t seem like insects but wolves with a huge ass compound eye on half of its face, it is wearing a flexible tight fitting blackish red and gold armor, they have four spiked arms, on their hands are sharp looking claws and two pairs of transparent wings are sprouting on their backs.
‘Underestimating this Lord?’
Blood red light covered him and nullified all the incoming attacks from the ants. A black shadow slowly formed into a sword and Bangkai disappeared from his position. Thirty percent of the insect-like wolves began to fall down from the sky and on to the sea below them with differing degree of damage to their bodies, mostly are slashed and are bleeding profusely but not one was bisected much to the surprise of the minor god.
‘They are quite sturdy.’
“…”
Halfway through their fall, the creatures are once again flapping their wings, undamaged and rushing to where Bangkai stood like nothing happened to them.
‘What the…’
“How are these things alive?”
[A day prior to the encounter with a minor god]
“hmmm… Interesting…”
Viktor is now looking at a sample of an antman that was brought to him via bird and was astounded by his findings. He quickly ditched classes and escaped from Hogwarts through his own pre arranged passage, specifically, a certain vanishing cabinet that the naughty poltergeist almost damaged. It was a good thing that agent Romanovich is quick to act on her missions and the cabinet was thus secured for Viktor’s own usage before the incident occurred.
Creak*
The old cabinet door opened and he appeared in an enclosed room full of defensive wards and weapons. If one other than Viktor came out of it then they wouldn’t live long after infiltrating the room. He derectly headed straight for his laboratory while giving instructions with the use of his virtual intelligence network.
“Milord!”
Golie bowed in greeting and respect to his master.
“Take me to see the antmen corpses we managed to recover.”
“Yes milord. Please follow me.”
The two opened a door to a time freeze chamber where most of the corpses are stored.
“Is this all that we managed to take from the last battle?”
Viktor was looking at about ten thousand bodies of antmen stacked into a small hill of corpses.
“No sir, the best ones are preserved for other uses and the living ones are being studied separately. Do you wish for me to gather everything here milord?”
“No. Its fine. Where are my Alphas?”
“They should be arriving in a few m… Oh here they are…”
The sturdy looking Alphas walked inside the laboratory, they looked like fierce warriors as they already went through the baptism of blood. As Viktor ordered, these ones are elite of the elites in their devisions.
‘Alright, let’s start with one first.’
“You there…”
Viktor pointed to the strongest man in the group of Alphas who stepped forward immediately with a ‘my liege’.
“Eat as much as you can. Eat everything from flesh to bones. Do you understand?”
“Yes milord!”
Crack*
Chomp*
Chomp*
Shhick*
The Alpha transformed and began to relish in eating to his fill. The shell-like carapace was cracked and also eaten, it turns out that these supposedly harder than titanium exoskeleton are pretty brittle without the support of magic.
After eating his fill he came back to Viktor who handed him a blood red vial of potion which he didn’t hesitate to pop into his mouth. He felt an itch all over his body and a heat that originates from his very core, an euphoric groan came out from him and he became encapsulated with blood red cocoon of energy which cracked up and broke down after about fifteen seconds of appearing. What came out is the same man, covered in tight fitting reddish black exoskeleton, two short black horns sprouted from his forehead, the side of his jaw had plate-like pieces of exoskeleton and looking closely, a transparent film of material is protecting his face like the visor of a motorcycle helmet except it is very difficult to notice.
“I thank the master for entrusting me with this strength.”
He took to the floor and proceeded with the protocol, he would have been killed off immediately if he had gone berserk like many others before him in the trials they went through. Although there’s not many of them to begin with, the thing did happen occasionally especially when conducting new tests like this.
“Alright. Activate your battle mode. Let’s see if this is worth investing in.”
Although it is hard for most, it isn’t impossible to go to the shadow realm where the antmen came from. Harvesting them then for research material would be a good idea or a bad one depending on how prepared the attacker is.
“Yes milord.”
The morphing began and ended within about five seconds. The Alpha now stood two and a half meters tall, four arms, long black horns, two sets of thin transparent wings, the half of his face changing to look like the compound eye of an insect, a jaw filled with serrated teeth with everything fully covered in blackish red exoskeleton. Then the standard issue golden enchanted armor automatically fitted itself in this new form and added to the threatening vibe of this Alpha.
“Hahahahaha… What strange creatures those ants are. Eat or be eaten… a good path to follow in my opinion, just that they have neglected their heads a little when they focused more on the production of offsprings.
‘Or should I call them bio-mechanical automatons?’
The primary role of these bio-mechanical automatons is guarding their colony from foreign invaders. These automatons are basically unkillable within a specific area of the colony that they are protecting. Their weakness lies in a marble sized core that is created at their birth which is placed inside the colony, the area that hides their one true weakness, a place where their vulnerable cores are preserved. This colony is now of course going to be Atlantis, the new home of the Alpha entomos.
‘Chimera ants sounds nice too, but then I’ll have to make a Meruem afterwards. I don’t have the time for it right now as my schedule of activities is quite full.’
