Harry Potter: A Fan Fiction - Volume 1 Chapter 51 Balik Tanaw
[Three years ago in Romania.]
Booom*
Something seems to have exploded or something, the explosion wasn’t strong enough to make everyone worried but it was enough to get their attention as it shook the ground slightly and it came from the palace’s front gate. More so after the sky turned black in the middle of the day, the vampires had to meet the brilliant man/wizard/creature who thought of this spell. It was something necessary for the vampire race after all, something that can mask their greatest weakness if only they could get their hands on it.
In the front gate of the palace a person with red eyes and golden hair appeared after the smoke cleared out, he looked beautiful, in fact more beautiful than any vampire (although the prideful vampires would never admit it themselves) and surely more mysterious as the black tight-fitting caped armor on him billowed with black etherial smoke. Perhaps the main feature that differentiate them from humans is that they have these long pointed ears.
The visitor/intruder looked around cooly, red beams from all around him congregated on his body. He is familiar with these weapons, they are one of the main weapons they had to train in before an elf was admitted as a ‘shadow elf’. But that memory seemed so long ago as he had seen far more things that are more dangerous than these toys that the muggles have made. Truly ingenious he must admit. The muggles aren’t as simple as they seem at face value, there is value in them as his master have always told to them.
‘Why would someone from the shadows intentionally reveal themselves and appear in a known secured place?’ The vampires are old enough to cover for their foolishness and knew the workings of life, they of course knew what questions to ask in important situations. Also the reason why they did not open fire as soon as the creature landed.
“I wish to talk to your lord.”
The crowd parted and a vampire wearing luxurious clothing came out from the parting crowd of soldiers. It’s none other than vampire lord William who seems to have been able to hear about what Golie had just announced.
“What are you? And what do you want to speak to me about Mr…”
“Golie… Just Golie, I’m a high elf. Are you sure you want to speak about the matter out here?”
‘High elf?… elf?’
The only thing that pops up is the ugly little critters that serve ‘those damned wizards’. Clearly the two are unrelated… right?
The vampire Lord hesitated a little bit before motioning to his people to stand down and for some people to escort the visitor inside the castle’s reception hall.
“What is this matter that you wish to speak with Mr. Just Golie?”
William asked after everyone took their positions.
Sigh*
Golie didn’t bother to correct him while thinking about how he f.u.c.k.i.e.d up his introduction this time and how to improve in the future. He is still new to this thing after all, and talking really isn’t his best suited job.
“The life and death of your kind… We want yours and the other two largest coven in Europe to cooperate with us in our search for true immortality.”
‘We?’
William raised his right brow clearly interested. Whoever could send this level of ambassador to him would never be too simple. He could feel magic flocking towards the high elf like moth to a flame.
“We wish for your people to volunteer for our studies in the matter regarding the vampires.”
“….”
William’s brows furrowed into a frown at this development, he is clearly taunted and is restraining himself not to lash out at his guest at the moment before clearly picturing out they are up against.
“Pardon me but it seems that I have heard you wrong. Did I hear you say you want us to serve as laboratory rats for your groups research?”
It was the calmest he could put it, he could feel his teeth grinding with one another threatening to break with a little more tension. The other party only smiled and shook his head before answering.
“No… Just you… Maybe some of the elders, but mainly you. And the two other Lords of course. Don’t worry, you will be treated with utmost respect, care and attention. And your people would be spared from the fate of annihilation. What say you?”
“Hahahaha…”
“Hahahaha…”
“Hahahaha…”
“Hahahaha…”
William started laughing and soon everyone in the hall simply went with the flow and laughed as hard as they could even when some are only capable of managing awkward sounds.
“Sorry about that…”
He habitually wiped the supposed tear at the corners of his eyes, something he hasn’t done in a very long time.
Swoosh*
Swoosh*
Swoosh*
“I never would have thought that we have fallen an all time low as we have had to entertain the ramblings of insane person!!!”
It wasn’t just William who rushed at Golie, three more moved in order to intercept him only for their attacks to phase through him.
“Congratulations! You have chosen the more interesting choice. You the king will live, but you three aren’t needed anymore. Goodbye.”
Golie had a smile on his lips and fire in his eyes before he directly disappeared in the middle of all the vampires in the reception hall, bypassing the wards they’ve set beforehand that prevents apparition and disapparition.
The three that attacked together with William on the other hand fell down to the floor twitching before drying up like mummies and turning to ashes. William’s face grew somber, it looks like he lived at the mercy of his enemy and it didn’t sit quite well with his principles.
The three vampire lords of Romania immediately summoned their household, whatever has been targeting them would not be anyone simple. The wizards were suspected at first but it was dropped since the wizards have a great headache of their own when the dark Lord Grindelwald escaped from his prison tower in Nurmengard Castle. Dumbledore was also incapable of apprehending the dark Lord as he seems to have grown strong enough to face Dumbledore even with the help of Fawkes and the elder wand.
This development only led them to more questions than answers… Just who are they dealing with?
Their question was soon answered when their castle was attacked by wolf-like beast men that are not werewolves, it seems like a perfect fit for the attackers of Helsing’s coven, so they must have been behind that incident. The initial clashes with them already shocked the vampires as the creatures were capable of contending in pure strength with their summoned helpers, the antmen who are known for their physical strength and are superior in speed to them who are blessed with semi immortal physique.
They lost a lot of people in this battle, more than half of the summoned creatures have been killed and many of his comrades cannot /won’t be able to go back to their mates anymore. While they managed to overwhelm some of them with numbers, no spoils was left for them at all.
That isn’t the end.
They have returned once again.
This time, they are armed to the teeth.
Like a proper army.
[Present.]
James is a new corps commander under the vampire black ops. They were deemed as the most elite unit ever produced by their military training school. They believed for a long time that the time would come when they will finally reclaim their rightful place as the ruling specie in the secret world of the supernatural after dealing with their long time foe, the wizardkind.
Great dreams they had. Dreams that should have been realised if not for the coming of this unknown power. James looked bitterly around him, his friends and family was massacred in front of him and couldn’t do anything about it. He could only grit his teeth and hope for the retribution from God for his enemies. Alas, God only looked on after his desperate plea and had done nothing to help at all.
Sigh*
Before James lost his consciousness, he saw a three meter tall gigantic thing moving towards the place where he is lying down in, it stopped in front of him and grabbed his head before lifting him up like a small fish in the market using only two of his fingers.
