Harry Potter: A Fan Fiction - Volume 1 Chapter 66 Digesting An Egg
[Durmstrang Institute. Two years ago. In Grindelwald’s secret Laboratory.]
“Alright I will heed your warning… under one condition.”
The old man’s lips are about to curl but stopped midway.
“What condition?” He asked.
“You have to willingly let me read your memories.” Viktor smilingly answered.
“Wha… What do you mean scry my memories? Are you truly deprived to have such an inclination as to read one’s mind just to feel comfort with the truth? No way!!!”
“You must be mistaken. I am not your descendant and neither am I stupid enough to believe all that bull crap you let out. Now you have two choices… be a good old soul and let me read your memories or I will forcefully do it myself.”
Unable to escape, the soulseed tried everything to resist although he himself knew it is but a useless struggle. It took some time for all of the soulseed’s energy to be spent, but with great patience, Viktor grinded it until it was laid bare in front of him like a drugged v.i.r.g.i.n girl ready to be r.a.p.ed. If it was other, more normal circ.u.mstances then trapping the soulseed would be a very difficult and taxing task to perform, however for a defence freak like Viktor who had the help of advanced technology in addition to his home coit was rather an easy task.
“Contain, digest, and integrate. I want everything filed and sorted.”
[Affirmative]
The virtual Intelligence’s cold response made Viktor’s hanging smile grow even wider… The anticipation made him restless… Who knows what kind of surprises this ‘box of Pandora’ may contain? He’s already considered not doing it in fear of the truth, for the truth is always something fearful and humbling, but he decided to go through with it anyways. Ready to feel helplessly weak and inconsequential at all in this vast universe where the only rule that works is survival of the fittest. Not the strongest and neither the fastest will survive, its the one most capable of adapting to his environment who will reign supreme.
[…. Processing…]
[… Loading…]
[…..Sorting…]
The process took more than a whole year but just like how low fire made the meat tender and the chef can serve a high quality dish for his customers to enjoy. The data from the memories that was gathered became clearer and was properly organised by the virtual Intelligence’s main processor. This means that the whole year spent on it wasn’t slow at all, in fact, it was very fast. What made it take more time is that it had to read and record the data from the memories of a being at the level of a god, even when it is a minor god as he considered himself, it would still take some time to fully analyse it all due to the length of time he lived and the amount of junk that has to be removed which acc.u.mulated througout the minor god’s existence.
[Complete. Do you wish to integrate the knowledge with your own?]
“I want the ones that are proven to be tried and tested otherwise, you can keep them for later reference. Proceed with the integration after my requirement is fulfilled.”
[Affirmative. The host is advised to go to a secure location before the transfer. The sheer volume of information will make it hard for a quick integration and will need at least five to six days. Do you wish to proceed anyway?]
“Alright, delay that order until I reissue a similar order.”
Viktor was very eager to integrate and is very excited to find out about the existence that calls themselves gods but he had to hold himself back at the moment lest he expose himself to unnecessary danger. One can never be too cautious in this world.
[Order confirmed.]
“It seems like things on your side is doing great. Did you get a girlfriend or something?”
A midget with long golden blond hair was grinning widely at Viktor as he rushed with a blade attached to his arm intending to attack. Viktor summoned earth walls but are destroyed by canons that Edward transmuted exposing Viktor from the confines of his concrete walls. Viktor pointed his wand outward and summoned blue flame beasts that chased Edward like a homing missile as it roared menacingly.
“Hahaha you really remind me of someone I used to know. He liked fire too and used it the same reckless way.”
‘Yeah, except his flame is more of the consume and burn while yours is very dangerous for anyone who uses magic as it burns magic itself. Where the hell did you learn this spell? Is this still fendfyre?’
A tidal wave crashed into the flame beasts creating a steam explosion that covered the whole room where the two are sparring. Edward actually summoned underground water just to nullify the magic burning property of Viktor’s spell.
“And who might that be?”
Viktor asked calmly with a smiling face under the veil of fog, smoke and dust.
‘This monster…’ Edward thought.
Viktor is simply peerless in too many ways that he had long grown numb from the child’s monstrosity. He looked like an adonis who the gods gave their time and attention just to perfectly mold. It’s something Viktor actually finds as a drag as he calls it because of the inconvenience it carries with it when it comes to the opposite gender. They always want to swarm him like a fifty percent off in the supermarket. Another is that he is monstrously smart. There is no subject he couldn’t excel in, no projects he couldn’t accomplish, problems he couldn’t solve and so much more. It was a proven fact that he could completely read a book cover to cover in a matter of minutes. He was very tempted to recruit Viktor to join him in his future research as an assistant if only Viktor isn’t of such deep origin and status.
‘Why would a nobleman agree to become an assistant? He’ll be funding his own research in the future.’
“Hehehe it’s my old comander in the Alchemy devision that I used to go to.”
The earth under Viktor spiked up trying to impale him but he managed to dodge with a backward leap and a short pause in the air to dodge an incoming spell as he also countered with one of his own.
“I’ll be glad to meet the guy. I’m a very social person hahaha.”
Lightning descended upon Edward who simply erected a lightning rod to redirect the electric flow to the ground.
“That’s impossible… He… He is long gone from the material plane.”
There was a reminiscent look in Edward’s eyes.
“Ohh… I’m sorry about that…
Anyway, I’ll be leaving for a few days. You will miss losing to me too much but please bear with it.”
“Hahahahahaha you won once you little braggart.”
“Ahhhh Hahaha you and I both know that I’m three inches taller-”
He couldn’t finish as he was bombarded by countless attacks from Edward who is very sensitive about his height. Especially when he is being compared to his younger brother Al.
The whole process of memory integration took five days to complete. Viktor opened his eyes with a completely different glow. He is inside his bedroom in his personal castle in Atlantis.
The room he is in would make the legendary dragons go crazy, or a mighty goblin insane with just the amount of treasures that littered the floor of the whole castle. Gold, gems, magic metals, rare ores and many things that cannot easily be found anywhere else are lying on the floor like trash. It was because of Viktor’s fetish about sleeping on top of countless treasures, something he had even in his past life although it only came true in this one. Maybe this is one of the reasons why he didn’t want to put his things in Gringotts bank, or maybe he is simply just part dragon or maybe a goblin. Who knows?
