Harry Potter: A Fan Fiction - Volume 1 Chapter 67 Shadow Realm Azjol'nerub
[Somewhere in the Bermuda triangle]
“Are you ready?”
A blond midget with a bionic arm and leg is currently standing on a ship staring at the golden skyline of the setting sun.
“I’m supposed to say yes aren’t I? Well yes… I guess you could say that.”
‘For a long time now really…’
Viktor answered mysteriously while musing to himself.
“Then let’s go. We have very little time.”
Professor Edward Alric jumped down to the waters and stood on top of it like one would on solid earth, Viktor followed him and hovered in flight above the waters.
“Alright, let’s get this party started.”
Edward placed both of his hands on top of the water as some form of energy spread outward with him at the center. A few moments later and the wind began to blow erratically, the sea waves went wild like they are jumping in joy and whirlpool began to take shape.
‘Hmmm quite well done! Bravo I guess. This type of waning barrier exploitation is quite efficient, maybe I should invest some effort into this field as well hehe who knows what I’ll be able to find on the other side?’
Soon a black space opened and another world can be seen on the other side, which meant that the portal is already stable and it is safe to cross over.
“I’m going over first, I’ll see you on the other side.”
Viktor announced before jumping into the portal without warning. Viktor descended very fast, a barrier protected him from the friction of air. He looked down and observed the shadow realm before him. It’s mostly comprised of rock and sand but there are a couple of greenery here and there as well as a vast ocean that separated the masses of land into four gigantic chunks.
“Where’s the guardian?”
Edward asked Viktor with a perplexed expression. A shadow realm is an incomplete world that can best be described by the terms ‘pocket dimension’. These realms usually have their own system and dominant living organisms like humans in earth. This however also means that the most dominant specie may not be humans.
“I don’t know, but let’s not wait for him. Descend and breed chaos, heed my call ‘Damocles’!”
A golden light appeared and a beautiful sword appeared. The sword is decorated with ancient runes that looked like they are swimming along the curvature of the blade. The pommel in the handle is decorated with a blood colored orb inside a dragon’s mouth.
It began to radiate killing intent seemingly to heed its master’s call. Like a bacteria in a hot and wet environment it began to duplicate itself while the duplicates, duplicated themselves as well littering the sky with beautiful golden swords.
‘What a freak. Where did he manage to get the materials to make that blade? I thought using a duplicating charm on a sentient object is an impossible feat, how come I’m watching this right now? What else is he hiding?’
“Pardon me for asking, but may I ask? When are you actually planning to make a move?”
“Oh! Sorry about that. Hehe. Amazing sword by the way. I didn’t know your family is that rich.”
‘Damocles is it? After the Greek weapon? Oh well I can’t just watch him kill his way through.’
“Arise! Iron Legion!!!”
Edward simply gestured with his hands and a blue arc of electricity began to slither on the ground below. Masses of black dust clouds rose up from the ground and began to take the shape of an actual full plate armored knights. All of them came to life with a red glow on the place where their eyes should have been, something similar to the virtual intelligence must have been planted inside these machines or the summoner wouldn’t be able to micro manage all of their actions specially during combat.
‘He isn’t simple as well.’ Viktor thought.
“Nice collection!”
“Well thank you. Yours isn’t too bad as well. Mind exchanging ideas with this half-blood after this mission?”
“It would be my pleasure my dear professor.”
“Ughh come on drop the professor title when we’re outside of school. Just call me Ed for crying out loud. ‘Professor’ makes me feel really old.”
“Alright. Ed. Let’s go finish this quickly. I have tons to do back there.”
“Let’s go.”
The two people accompanied by a legion of iron knights and uncountable flying swords began to head towards the highest peak of this realm.
*rumble*
*rumble*
*rumble*
The ground suddenly shook, something Viktor did not manage to detect the reason for as he is currently scanning the ground from the air when his senses are suddenly interrupted for an unknown reason.
A few moments later, thousands upon thousands of insect-like creatures crawled up from holes in the ground. Some of them flew up into the sky but most rushed forward on the ground with wild abandon.
“Now that… Is a proper army.”
