Harry Potter: A Fan Fiction - Volume 1 Chapter 68 Anu'darak
“Now that is what I call an army! They better be as good as they look or they won’t even be a warm-up for my iron legion.”
Edward exclaimed at the sight before him in excitement with the signature wide smile that showed his slightly protruding canines. Some ridicule could also be discerned from his tone as he truly had great faith and pride in the army he himself summoned or probably built as the fruit of his long research, and was even possibly one of his trump cards. Who knows?
“Tsss… Let’s not watch them approach. Let me see what they’re made of…”
Viktor stopped flying forward.

‘Attack!’
With a single command from his thought though the virtual intelligence the flying swords began to shoot like a rain of arrows towards the tide of incoming insect-men.
*whoosh*

Inside the inner recesses of the great underground labyrinth. In a room lit with blue, green and yellow lights from special types of luminescent fungus, a figure could be seen sitting on what could be a throne.
His name is Anu’darak, the current king of the Azjolian race in this fairly young realm called Azjol’nerub. His race bears most semblance to that of a combination of insects that can be found on Earth, a mix between a scorpion as they have pincered arms and armored poison tail stinger, an ant as they have the same feature that allows the ants to stand vertically using only four of their limbs, and lastly is the horned beetle as they have similar if not more sinister looking pair of horns in their heads.
Their bodies gave the overpowering feeling of looking at a huge tank with their thick bio-metallic exoskeleton. Their exoskeleton is naturally blessed by nature with antimagic properties, and their evolution is extremely quick in the face of adversity. In addition to that, they have this overall fierce, fearless, savage, but very loyal to the colony countenance that resulted from their hive mind orientation which made them all the more fearsome.
They looked like the whole colony is having some form of very important ceremony as they have all abandoned their tasks to participate in it underground where it is being held. Anu’darak is at the center surrounded by millions of his people, with raised hands the background noise began to lessen until the whole ‘cavern’ became eerily quiet.
“My people!”
Anu’darak stood up as he spoke loudly with the aid of a special runed stone which can be found buried deep inside the earth. This is actually a very rare and expensive magic material in the main world that has various uses but it is currently being used as a glorified megaphone by a king. Very luxurious indeed if that is what he was aiming for. He continued after a moment of silence.
“Now comes the anointed time to give way for evolution! Fight! Fight and grow stronger! Fight! Fight and devour! Fight! Fight to survive! As our ancestors before us have done. Let the ten-year waiting come to an end… Let us begi… Hmmm?”
He was just about to announce the beginning of their event when he suddenly felt weird sensation from his horn.
“My king, forgive me for speaking to you directly but there is an emergency situation that needs your attention.”
“Hmm? Go on and speak.”
“There are intruders who are heading to the direction of our colony your majesty!!!”
A patrol outside suddenly asked for permission to report directly and transmitted the message to Anu’darak telepathically.
“Who came? How many are there?”
Anu’darak asked puzzled. Just what is the origin of these enemies? His people have been ruling these lands for quite a while and he was quite sure no other powers here can pose a challenge to their ruling.
“They must not have come from around here as my king, they look very strange. As for their troops, there’s not much ground units, just about a couple of thousands. Their flying units however is another matter, I couldn’t count them at all, but they don’t look all that threatening at all. Give us your orders my liege.”
The patrol respectfully reported.
“Hahahahaha look at this. There hasn’t been a challenger to oppose us in the past two thousand years since we came to be the Peak power of this land… My people! We are blessed by our the great mother today! Let us come out and hold the ceremony at the surface this time!!! Go out and FEAST!!!!”
“””””””screeee””””””
The insect-men screeched and made different sounds as they rushed out of their underground colony like a rushing ocean tide.
*rumble*
*rumble*
*rumble*
The swarm of insect-men in front of both Ed and Viktor failed to elicit a negative response from the two men who found them to look rather familiar in appearance as they looked very similar to the ones summoned by the vampires, their differences however clearly signifies that they are of a different species. According to the virtual intelligence’s analysis, they are about ninenty-five percent genetically similar despite the slight difference, this piece of information is something that put a wide smile on Viktor’s face.
