Harry Potter: A Fan Fiction - Volume 1 Chapter 70 Bettle Ii
“The intruders have managed to ward off our forces my king!”
An Azjolian warrior was kneeling in front of Anu’darak reporting the current situation in the battlefield.
“Then send out some more. Feed the Queens and make more soldiers, I don’t care how much we spend on this battle. I just want results.”
“I’m afraid that is not possible at the moment your -”
The subordinate could not finish his sentence as head was already on the ground. Lifeless, with four sets of open eyes, seemingly reluctant to accept his fate in the hands of the king whom he served.
“Find someone to replace him. I want those intruders dealt with as soon as possible! I want their bodies, I need to feed.”
At his command, a soldier stepped forward and bowed to the king.
“I will serve the king!!!”
“Yeah, yeah, go send more of our troops out there.”
Anu’darak didn’t care about who carried out his orders. As long as they were following his commands to his liking he couldn’t care less about what else they would do with the power the position held. He believed that only personal power truly matters, if one mistakenly believed that he can uphold his authority without the use of brute force then they are only wishing for an early death.
“Yes your majesty! Thy will be done!”
He bowed and walked away from the great underground hall where Anu’darak was staying.
“Elix’e, why did you step forward? Do you wish to die early? Anu’darak is a cruel king, more cruel than the brood Queens. What is running in that head of yours?”
An armored Azjolian, twice the size of the normal ones walked together with Elix’e as they moved to where the Queens’ chambers are located.
“Don’t worry my friend. Unlike you, I always think of my steps before taking them. So, I naturally have a plan in store to keep my little life. Ram’n do tell, why would anyone ever attack our colony?”
“Hmmm… Its one of two things, its either they are really stupid and are looking for death, or… they are really strong and are confident enough with their strength to believe that they could take our colony all on their own. See? I can use this too, I just don’t want to take away the only thing you’re good at. Hehe so what’s the plan?”
Ram’n pointed at the place where his head is to show his point to his friend.
As he said, their colony used to be ruled by the Queens who gave birth to everyone in the colony. That went on until a king is finally birthed by one of the Queens, Anu’darak who managed to mature very quickly after his birth immediately established his rule and overthrew the Queens from their leader position. Born with ultimate power to evolve and to control all of his subordinates, he grew more and more egocentric and complacent. As time went on, he even began to neglect his duties as a leader and started to delegate tasks to his subordinates while he only gave emphasis on developing personal power. This is the reason why they have gathered in the first place, the ten-year slaughter, an event where only the most powerful Azjolian can survive, he used this event breed the strongest of warriors, warriors that he will ultimately consume for himself like a tonic to make himself stronger.
But unlike humans, the Azjolians didn’t feel fear, it was their honor to be part of the King’s strength. Following orders is all they ever knew, they followed their pre-programed orders from the day they were born, and will still follow it until their dying breath.
“Feed the Queens and produce more soldiers. Just like the king asked for.”
Elix’e entered a chamber an lifted all the levers that controls the food that goes into feeding the Queens. More food means more soldiers, but since more soldiers means that more and more food will be needed is like drinking poison to quench one’s thirst as their food is not unlimited.
“Are you mad? The Queens will die if you… you… you aren’t thinking what I’m thinking right? Right? Elix’e!? Have you gone mad!?”
Ram’n was just about to criticise Elix’e when he realised the true extent of her plans. No wonder she stepped forward readily when the previously 987th retainer died, or to be more accurate, he was technically was killed by the King himself (yay!!! Great honor!!!).
“Shhhh… This is the only way I can see that has a chance to let us be free. Without the Queens, the King can’t control us anymore, and without the Queens, he can’t make any more soldiers to chase after the two of us, hopefully the intruders can sweep all of them to give us a better chance to live peacefully in the future. Then we can live how we want to, like we always have dreamed and talked about. Didn’t you tell me that this is your real goal in life?”
“…”
Ram’n froze up and couldn’t answer Elix’e’s questions, he literally blanked at the thought of letting the Queens who gave birth to them all die as casualties or as tools for their escape. But the look on Elix’e’s eyes instinctively made him slightly nod his head.
