Harry Potter And The Ravenclaw’s Sapphire - Chapter 4

Year 1977, December 25th. London city nightsky was covered with clouds, and was snowing hard. The mansion named Goldstein Manor was located in London, its size is not enormous but was luxurious and a grand residence to behold with. Its walls are made up of large stone brick wall, and a golden gate with the branding of a huge ‘G’ in the middle that was beautifully and perfectly made.

The wide front lawn aligned with several pine trees in main pathway are covered in snow, while several hidden magic formations are covering the entire manor, which covers the totality of the present manor. This brought a spring like weather inside, making it lovely to behold that even the muggles and wizard would find it perfect.

Inside the manor, in a warm lighted study room, a young handsome five years old was sitting in the study table quietly as he read a book. His name was Van Goldstein. While he was reading, he likes to take several notes in his booklet, pointing the main ideas in his lessons. Van was a genuine genius in different aspects. He started his studies when he was five. At a young age, he loved being immersed through learning, and has become diligent with his studies.

“When casting a spell, it may look simple enough, but the method of controlling its power is terribly hard when the caster is not focusing his mind. With that, it is recommended to meditate before practicing.” as he take his notes in his booklet, he look towards the ceiling, pondering ‘I wonder why everytime I am meditating, I feel that I could gather up and condense my magic force, but it immediately disperse everytime I cast spells. Also it amplifies the intensity power of the spell I am casting, but has drawback of making me tired easily.’

As he continued reading the book and taking notes, knocking can be heard from the door.

*Knock* *Knock*

A manly voice said, “Are you there, Master Van? It is already time for the dinner, Madam Anne is also looking for you in the dining hall right now.”

Van forgot that it was already time for the dinner, he hastily replied “Oh! Carlo, thanks for calling me. I will be right there in a moment!” as he cleaned the desk and rearrange the books, he puts his booklet in his pocket and ran towards the door.

As Van opens the door, he saw Carlo waiting in the hall and said “You should stop calling me Master, I feel like you are my own uncle alright? Also, let us go toward the dining hall already.” Carlo quietly sighed, and nodded, and started to walk with Van towards the dining hall.

In the large dining hall, there is this sweet melody coming from the piano, and dishes that are served in the long table are delicious and tasty. There was this lovely atmosphere enveloped in the room, in which there was the family gathering of the Goldstein’s. The delightful yet warming laughs of the children in the room made the adults laugh happily and it was totally merrily for everyone.

As Van and Carlo nearly approaches the dining hall, a young kid was running towards them. As he came in front of them, he said while tapping the shoulder of Van “Van, tag you are it! Hahaha, you are to slow!” he laughed and ran towards the dining hall quickly.

Van was smiling and shouted, “Oh Anthony! Don’t let me catch you!” Van said while laughing.

Anthony, while running happily replied, “If you can catch me Van!” Antony ran towards her mother Anne, and as he came closer towards he said, “Mother, Van is here already!”

Anne looks toward Anthony, and smilingly said “Oh, how playful of you Anthony for running, you played tag with your brother Van. Am I right?”

“Hmm, I played tag with Van.” Anthony honestly replied. Then suddenly someone tapped his shoulder and said “Caught you Anthony, haha!” Van happily said. Also he look towards her aunt Anne, “Mother, I’m sorry for coming late. I was too immersed with my studies.”

[Van calls her aunt Anne, as mother. Because she is her mother figure ever since.]

“No worries my child, also don’t over exert yourself too much. You are still young. Anyway, we will start our dinner already.” Anne said towards her child. “Please lead the blessing in our food Tony.” she softly said.

After Tony blessed the food in the table, everyone started to devour. Anthony and Van ate a lot and made their stomach full with various dishes and dessert. Also, Anne, Tony and their guests, had a great time of sharing. The night greatly ended well for everyone.
