Harry Potter: Glory of the King - Chapter 148
Madam Pomfrey led Harry out of the office. After confirming that the door was closed, Professor McGonagall took out the timetable for the two of them.
“To be honest, I am not surprised that you two submitted such applications-you are both smart and easy-to-learn kids, and we will always find ways to help you solve the problem of course conflicts.”
Hermione glanced at Ona and saw that he was confident.
“This thing—” Professor McGonagall took out a pocket watch from the drawer. “It’s called a time converter. It was specially applied by Professor Dumbledore from the Ministry of Magic—a very rare magic item. During this year, you may want Use this thing together-but one thing to be aware of.”
Ona and Hermione were sitting together, they knew that Professor McGonagall must have something important to say with such an expression.
“Be careful when using it, and don’t let anyone-especially you see yourself.” Professor McGonagall seemed to be a tongue twister.
“What do you mean?” Hermione said straightforwardly.
“Hermione.” Ona said hurriedly. “This thing can help us go back to the time in the past and allow us to take several courses at the same time, but there is a possibility that we may meet ourselves back in the future. ”
“Correct! You deserve to be a smart kid who can write detective novels.” Professor McGonagall nodded, “Once you meet at the same time at different times, what do you think might happen?”
Hermione suddenly realized.
“Okay, this thing—I think, let Mr. Clough take care of it.” Professor McGonagall handed the pocket watch to Ona. When Ona received it, he heard the system prompt: “Ding! Contact! To the time converter, activate the special task-when the flow is upstream!”
Ona didn’t take care of the system, but solemnly put the time converter away, and then went out with Professor McGonagall. Hermione didn’t let him hold him for a while—Professor Gang McGonagall looked at it meaningfully. They took a few glances.
After meeting with Harry, a group of five people went to the restaurant together.
Unfortunately, the sorting ceremony has been missed. Ron and Glory reserved places for them, and when they were seated, Professor Dumbledore was about to speak.
“Welcome!” Professor Dumbledore said, and the noisy dining room fell silent. “Welcome to Hogwarts in the new school year! I have a few words to say to you all, one of which is very serious, I think it’s better to put this one before you get confused by this delicious meal. To be clear, after they searched the Hogwarts express train, you must all know. At present, our school is going to receive some dementors from Azkaban. They are here to perform the official duties of the Ministry of Magic.”
Dumbledore paused, his expression unhappy. “They are stationed at all the entrances of the school grounds. During their stay here, I must make it clear that no one is allowed to leave the school without permission. Dementors should not be deceived by tricks or disguise— —Even if it’s invisible.” Harry was a little surprised, he felt that this was said to him.
“Dementors by nature don’t know what requests or excuses are, so I warn each of you: Don’t give them any excuses to hurt you. Make sure that um and students will not conflict with the Dementors.”
“What’s more pleasing,” Professor Dumbledore said in a relaxed tone after everyone had digested his words, “This year, I am very happy to welcome two new teachers to our team. The first is Professor Lupin! He graciously agreed to fill the vacancy in the course of Defense Against the Dark Arts.”
The applause was not enthusiastic at first, but after Ona and the others applauded, many people began to applaud. Ona’s status among the students was not low.
“As for the second teacher we appointed,” Professor Dumbledore introduced after the applause fell, “Well, I regret to tell you that Professor Keitel Byrne, our teacher of the conservation of magical biology class, retired at the end of last year. However, I am happy to say that it is not someone else, but Rubeus Hagrid to fill his vacancy. Hagrid has agreed to serve as a teacher in addition to serving as a hunting ground guard!”
Hagrid flushed, accepting everyone’s applause, especially from Gryffindor.
“We should have known!” Ron roared, “Who would let us get a book that would bite?”
“Well, I think the important things are over,” Professor Dumbledore said. “Let’s start eating!”
After dinner, Professor Dumbledore announced that everyone could disband, and everyone dragged their tired bodies to the dormitory. Ona and the others waited for a while, and went to congratulate Hagrid together, and then were driven back to the dormitory by Professor McGonagall—classes are coming tomorrow.
After Ona returned to the dormitory, he checked the mission. This time the mission was very simple. It was to use the time converter once. Ona was not in a hurry, because he would use it with Hermione tomorrow.
Early the next morning, it was naturally a regular timetable issue. Since the incident that Harry fainted this time was blocked by Ona in advance by Neville, Malfoy did not use this opportunity to attack Harry. Ona’s and Hermione’s schedule are exactly the same-ten courses a day.
Today is Thursday, September 2, at nine o’clock. The three courses of divination, Muggle research, and arithmetic divination will be held at the same time. Ona and Hermione glanced at each other, and the Glory thief smiled. She only chose Muggles to study, which saves trouble. Harry and Ron also expressed their amazement and incomprehension at the timetables of their two schoolmasters. They chose divination.
Ona smiled: “Don’t worry, the school has already arranged it-we won’t leave the next class.”
Ona also has no choice. If you don’t choose all courses, how can you get the time converter? And Hermione naturally hates learning a little bit of knowledge, so naturally she also sings with her husband, and besides, she originally planned to choose them all.
“Then which course are you going to now?” Harry asked.
“Does this still need to be said?” Ron shrugged. “It must be Muggle research. Glory is with them.” Ron wanted to complain about why Glory didn’t choose divination.
“Okay, we have to go, see you later.” Ona smiled mysteriously and took Hermione and Glory away from the table.
“What do you mean?” Ron gave Harry a confused look. “He said I’ll see you later?”
“I heard it too.” Harry shrugged. “Could he be a clone? What about Hermione, I can’t…”
At this moment Hagrid just walked in, with a dead polecat in his hand. “Are you all okay?” He said hello, “You are going to take my first class! It’s after lunch! I’ll get up at five o’clock and everything is done…I hope my wife is peaceful…I… I’m a teacher… to be honest…” Without waiting for Harry and the others to answer, Hagrid walked over to the teacher’s table.
Harry and Ron looked at each other: “Let’s go, go to divination class.”
