He Awakened When I Died - Chapter 2
“Are you the guide who will help me with guiding from now on?”
Shana looked carelessly at his rigid tone and lowered her gaze once again, as the owner of the voice was shorter than her.
“I’m Bliss Hope.”
The boy who spoke like an adult with a gloomy face is Bliss.
Shana replied, gulping anxiously.
“I am Shana. I offer my service to you, Young Master Bliss.”
He slowly acknowledged it.
[Bliss didn’t know that his incompetent guide would lose her life due to monster hunting.]
The fact was that she passed as an incompetent guide who died in the first sentence of the original novel.
***
She was an ordinary girl and a good reader who actually experienced the ‘unfamiliar ceiling when she opened her eyes’.
Just a mediocre, normal reader who read R-19 romance novels with the hashtag ‘Hardcore’ as requirement.
Shana was quite confused until she found out what the original work she went through.
First of all, this is what the character she possessed looks like.
Washed out pink hair, amber mixed with honey eyes. A glowing face from early to mid-teens of age popped up.
The maid who visited the room called her Shana.
Shana was confused.
This is because she couldn’t think of a female protagonist with this look and name.
‘Maybe she’s not the heroine.’
Once the real one appears, she might as well become a villain with the red flag or an extra who will be kicked out.
Having had countless experiences as a reader from reading all those books, she calmly attempted to make sense of her situation, but despair took over her.
‘The hardcore hashtag…….!’
Yes. If she came into one of the novels she had read, it meant that her future would never go smoothly.
The male characters in the novel she had read mostly were crazy men.
Either they were blunt, gentle, or absurd. Only the added condiment was different, the base element was still filled with crazy men.
‘When you are possessed, the possessed characters always get intertwined with the main character.’
By chance, if I get involved, I think I will be excited like the female lead.
“I’ll show you the way to the third young master right now.”
Shana, who had been prodded out from the room, followed the maid’s words idly.
The place where the maid took her was a separate house that looked like a secluded island from the main house.
The area was dirty, surrounded by branches and weeds being shaken by the wind.
The building was covered with ivy and vine, so to put it nicely, it was eco-friendly, but it looked like a deserted house where no one could live.
“This is a separate house where the third young master trains. I’ll move Shana’s luggage here soon.”
Shana’s head spun fast again.
‘I can’t believe this is a training place. Does the male lead have one closed-training? Is this Eastern Style?’
But this world is Western Style even upside down, not the Eastern Style.
‘Where on earth am I?!’
Shana’s confusion was settled only after meeting the third young master.
No, she didn’t know whether to be confused or not.
She entered a novel where the male lead and the female lead met only after she died.
Shana looked at the boy standing in front of her.
His black hair which is as deep as night and his clear blue eyes.
Even the faint sparkle surrounding the pupil was exactly the same as the twinkle of golden light.
Bliss Hope, the main character of “Blue Flame, Red Flame.”
Born and persecuted by the Wizard’s family bloodline, Bliss succeeded in awakening by meeting the female lead as his new guide after the incompetent guide died.
‘Apparently, I am the incompetent guide.’
Playing the role of a person from the starting point.
Shana got confused.
‘I am the character who died as soon as the novel started.’
She immediately recalled the original plot.
“What are you thinking about?”
Bliss’ cold voice pulled Shana out of her mind.
“I’m sorry.”
Bliss opened his mouth while looking at her disapprovingly.
“Let’s try guiding right away.”
“Pardon me?”
Shana was surprised, meanwhile Bliss tilted his head slightly.
“You said you are a guide. Don’t tell me you don’t know how to guide, do you?”
Cold sweat ran down her spine.
‘What is guiding?’
How would she do that……
The only guiding she learned from the original plot were those things that she couldn’t- no, shouldn’t- do with this boy.
In the original plot, Bliss used to woo the female lead the whole time by using guiding as an excuse to get closer.
The more Shana hesitated, the colder Bliss’ face became.
“Oh, it’s my first day, so…..”
How a child could put on such a scary face, Shana shuddered under the piercing gaze.
“How about we take time to get to know each other?”
She lifted the corner of her mouth and smiled softly.
‘I don’t know exactly how old you are now, so I don’t know how much time is left before I leave?’
Bliss meets the female lead around the age of 20 and succeeds in awakening.
That means Shana would die when he turned 20.
‘In the first place, I don’t even know how to guide! Seemingly we’re both minors, but we’ll be in trouble if we do it like the original, dude!’
Shana cried internally but laughed on the outside.
“I don’t know who you are so I am not sure how to guide you more effectively.”
She said anything to avoid this situation.
“You want to know about me?”
Bliss blinked slowly as if he was surprised by Shana’s words.
“Yes, Young Master.”
Shana nodded enthusiastically and had a smile in her eyes. She was going to have a cramp around her mouth from smiling so much.
But he still couldn’t spit on her grinning face……
“You are talking nonsense.”
…But even though he couldn’t exactly spit on her face, he could still act repulsed.
Shana looked at Bliss with the corner of her mouth lowered slightly. Bliss’ blue eyes are big.
‘You are a kid, right?’
Turns out, it’s only a one-time opposition, right?
Shana sees all sorts of thoughts in Bliss’ blue sad eyes
“You probably didn’t intend to guide me properly from the beginning.”
“Pardon me?”
Bliss sighed quietly.
“I didn’t expect you to give me proper guiding.”
No, she hadn’t done anything yet, but he already started to treat her like an incompetent guide?
Shana was confused about whether to be bitter or admit that he was right.
“So I didn’t expect you to stick to a deadly pale child like this.”
Shana was speechless. Who’s calling someone pale now?
“Did you say you were fifteen? You must have just received the Wizard’s Association’s certification.”
Shana nodded at a glance. She’s keeping her mouth shut, so Bliss can figure it out.
“They only gave experienced guides to my brothers. Meanwhile, I have someone who is only three years older than me as a guide and she’s a girl……”
Bliss assessed Shana with disappointed child-like eyes. Hence Shana was discouraged, on the contrary, her eyes lightened up.
“If Bliss is 12 years old now, I have eight years left before I have to leave!”
It wasn’t such a short time to find a way to leave the original plot without dying.
“It means my father has no expectations for me,”
Bliss muttered to himself and smiled bitterly.
“In fact, I would be the same too.”
Shana felt a little uncomfortable when she saw his self-deprecating smile.
This is because she remembered Bliss’ unfortunate past that she had read in the original novel.
Bliss was the illegitimate child of Duke Hope.
The Duke was given Bliss, saying that his precious blood continued.
But when Bliss showed no talent for magic, he treated him as a child who was abandoned, calling him a lowly blood.
He was the one who had an affair with a young maid without being able to guard his lower half, but he only hated innocent Bliss.
“All right, go away.”
Bliss looked at Shana with a defeated face.
“It’s useless anyway, so you don’t have to pretend to be a guide.”
His face was blank, but his voice was also weak.
“Did you give up already?”
Before he met with the female lead, he gave up on everything, saying that there was no hope in his life.
The time of abandonment was just when he was twelve years old.
Does that mean he would hate himself for the next eight years?
After awakening, Bliss was an stifling perfectionist and obssesive man towards the female lead, but the boy in front of her seemed infinitely weak.
‘She felt sorry for him.’
Shana was sympathetic. It’s even more obvious that Bliss is pretending to be calm.
‘It’s no use?’
So she decided to approach Bliss. She reached out carefully and held his little hand.
But it was her who shuddered with surprise.
Bliss’s hands were too cold.
‘Don’t kids usually have a high body temperature? Why is he so cold?’
Well.
The separate building didn’t seem to be managed at all, they couldn’t have taken good care of the child who lived there.
Shana looked at Bliss’s skinny body, then moved her gaze to his white cheeks and lips.
‘Isn’t this child abuse?’
Teary, she wraps her arms around Bliss’s. She hoped the child’s hands would warm up little by little.
Bliss didn’t shake off Shana’s hand. He didn’t even say back ‘what are you doing’.
He just blinked slowly, a little surprised, just like before.
“Don’t give up, Young Master.”
‘When you have been awakened, not only your father but also your brothers won’t be able to tell you anything.’
Of course she couldn’t say that.
“It takes more time and effort to make a big bowl than it does to make a small bowl.”
Shana made eye contact with Bliss.
“Even if it takes a little longer than others, the results you produce will be incomparable.”
Bliss, who was listening quietly, slowly opened his mouth.
“Well, how would you know?”
The tip of his voice shook slightly.
“How can you be … so sure?”
It was a question in desperation, as if to show that he wanted to clutch at the straws.
Shana answered readily.
“I believe in you.”
Although she believed in the original plot more, he didn’t need to know that.
“So don’t doubt yourself, Young Master.”
Shana smiled brightly.
Without any expectation of the aftermath from the consolation that she said without much thought.
