He/Heroine And My Villainess - Chapter 189
HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS
(THE CUP OF WATER THROUGH A ROAD OF UNFAVORED EMOTION)
The other day before the sun goes asleep, storms surge through Astrod land, joining the feeling of the people who are lost, confused, and worried.
Madam Rose and Yerre, alongside Lord Marthen and Sir Aloit, went inside the living room to talk about the matter related to Sir Aloit after their breakfast.
Four of them sat at the separate couch inside the living room, then wait for Sir Aloit to open up the conversation because he is the person who requests the gathering.
The anger light came flashing inside the bright room, the wind touches the window with no consent, and anger thunder grumbles all around the place outside.
As the wind and rain get heavy, the feeling of nervousness and anxiousness deepen.
Sir Aloit keeps sighing and gulping as his feet keep tagging the floor like he has done something wrong, making the three-person concerned about his behavior.
“Aloit! What are you doing? We’re waiting,” Madam Rose speak out, which made Sir Aloit jolted awake from his nervousness.
Sir Aloit stared at three of them before opening up his mouth to say what he meant to explain to three of them. He heaves a sigh then focuses his eyes on Yerre.
“Before anything else. I want to confess to Vendia first about everything that happened to the Voldrone land,” Sir Aloit mentions, making the Marquis shocked and felt uncomfortable.
“Wait, Aloit, are you sure?” Lord Marthen ask for assurance because this could lead to an opening of a bigger problem.
“Yes, I am sure,” Sir Aloit answer with a face full of determination and confidence, making Yerre wonder and confused.
“What is it you want to confess to me, uncle?” Yerre ask.
“Do you still remember the day you had an anxiety attack at the Voldrone land?” Sir Aloit asks as his heartbeats in worry.
His heartbeat was wild inside as sweat formed in his forehead. The things that he’s about to say to Yerre are things that give a shock and guilt into Yerre heart.
“Yes, I still remember. Why? Did something happened that day that I didn’t know about?” Yerre asks, full of curiosity.
Madam Rose and Lord Marthen look at their daughter with a concern and pity expression.
“…Yes, there is, and I want you to know that you did nothing wrong. Those things are my choice and decision. So no matter what I say to you or explain to you right now. Don’t blame yourself, understand?” Sir Aloit respond, making Yerre nervous and worry as she saw Sir Aloit sad expression.
“Wha-what? What do you mean? I can’t understand, uncle,” Yerre stutters from nervousness.
Sir Aloit breathed in and out collecting, confidence, and determination to explain everything to Yerre. But his thoughts and fear of seeing Vendia face of disappointment and fright made him think twice.
For three minutes, the room turned silent again, making the three people worried and confused again.
Madam Rose sigh and stood out from her couch as she went close to Sir Aloit side and patted his shoulder.
“Aloit is all right. No matter what you have decided to do. We will support you. Don’t be afraid we will handle our daughter after, okay?” Madam Rose mentions giving comfort and calm thoughts to Sir Aloit.
Sir Aloit looks gaze at Madam Rose for a while, then chuckled as he replies.
“Je, thank you,” Sir Aloit showed relief and a grinned smile at Madam Rose. She didn’t leave his side as he continues what he was trying to explain or deliver to Yerre.
“Why would uncle be afraid of me? What is going on? What happened back then, uncle?” Yerre asks with a face full of worry and confusion.
“When the Physician has done tending upon you. I ask Mary to escort him out, but that is not all,” Sir Aloit pause in the middle of his sentence as he felt his heartbeat from fear again. Madam Rose once again patted his shoulder, and he got jolted out to his thought.
[It’s okay,] Madam Rose mouthed to Sir Aloit, who look at him with an indecisive expression and bitter smile. Sir Aloit, deep sigh, then turns to look straight at Yerre.
Yerre wait to Sir Aloit words full of anxiousness and impatience.
“As a woman who lives under golden blood. People always want to see their weaknesses and issues. So they can play at it and ruined you. I worry that the physician who tends you that day would spread rumors about your condition that could lead to a fatal bridge for your family, so I,” Sir Aloit pause, as he frowns and felt an unease inside his heart.
“You what, uncle?” Yerre asks, with heart beating from anxiousness and nervousness.
“That day. I also command Mary to clean up the physician, with no one noticing,” Sir Aloit mentions as he looks at Yerre with eyes almost in tears.
“By clean, you mean….” Yerre thinks of the correct meaning to Sir Aloit words, but nothing came.
“It means to kill the physician,” Sir Aloit mentions helping Yerre to figure the meaning of his words, making Yerre shocked and shivered in fear.
‘What? He what now?’ Yerre asks in her thought, so shocked that she could not even reply to Sir Aloit for a minute.
“Child, your uncle didn’t mean it. He only thinks the safety of our family and you,” Lord Marthen explain as Yerre turned her gaze at Vendia father.
“You two already know about this?” Yerre asks in disbelief.
“Yes, your uncle explain everything to us from the time you both arrived back home that day,” Madam Rose answer.
Yerre felt lost and confused. She does not know what to feel and what to think at the moment. Her body shivered from fear and shock that she could not reply even a sound to them.
“Vendia?” Madam Rose went over to her side and touched her head, but she stood out from the couch, then jolted away from her in shock.
Yerre felt that what she did is wrong, so she lowers her head and apologize, but she could not get close to them yet.
“I…” Yerre look at them then saw Sir Aloit having an unspirited and devastated expression. Her heartbeat in anxiety and pain upon seeing Sir Aloit being fragile.
“You don’t have to worry. I will no longer be your knight. The physician I ask Mary to kill that day is king Phantrel physician. His name is Alfredo. King Phantrel already knows what happened to him, and I confess my mistake to him,” Sir Aloit mentions as Yerre only looks at him while listening to his words.
“The king gives a lifetime punishment for what I have done,” Sir Aloit mentions, making Yerre curious and concern.
“And what is his punishment?” Yerre asks with the same feeling.
“My punishment is to serve at his kingdom as Prince Adam knight till I die,” Sir Aloit answer with a bitter smile.
Yerre felt a wind slap in her face as she heard Sir Aloit punishment. All the fear and shocks she received earlier have change into anxiety and fear of losing the person she trusts and already cherishes as an older brother.
“Sir Albert already knows everything, and I ask for his help to find you a perfect knight. Who will be replacing me, and I already choose one of his people. Tomorrow they will come by at our residence to introduc-”
“No!” Yerre shout in between his trembling voice, which’s almost in tears, leaving Sir Aloit words unfinished. Vendia parents and also Sir Aloit look at her in surprise.
“Vendia, why are you shoutin-”
“I said, no! I don’t want any knight other than you! I don’t want you to go! I don’t want you to left us! You promise me, you promise me that you will always be by my side. You promise to grandpa that you will only protect us!” Yerre cut Madam Rose’s words by shouting again as an angry tear goes out from her eyes.
Vendia Parents got shocked, and so does Sir Aloit.
“…Child,” Lord Marthen called out as he felt torn and pain upon seeing his daughter full of anger and persistent feeling while she cried in front of them.
“V-vendia,” Sir Aloit stutters as he saw Vendia shouting in anger and have a persistent expression.
“No! Don’t say any other words anymore. I will talk to king Phantrel, and I will ask for him to let you go. I will take the punishment instead,” Yerre mentions as anger and anxiousness have now taken over her entire emotions and body.
Sir Aloit looks at Yerre for a while. Then sigh and later showed a genuine smile to her.
“…Vendia, no, you don’t have to do that. Uncle will be fine. You don’t have to worry. The king mentions that you can still visit me. So you don’t need to worry, and besides, your uncle can take the punishment with no problem,” Sir Aloit mentions with a carefree smile as he showed the muscle of his hands, trying to make Yerre out of worry, but it didn’t work.
“No, you will stay to us only. I am the reason why you made a harmful decision. So is only fair for me to take the punishment instead,” Yerre persistent reply, which made Sir Aloit furious. He stood out from the couch, then respond in a firm and rage tone of voice.
“NO! You won’t step into the palace. How dare you decide what I should do?” Sir Aloit continues.
“This is my life, and I will do whatever I want!” Sir Aloit continue speaking out words to Yerre that made her shocked and confused.
“Uncle, I am only worried about yo-”
“No! You are embarrassing me. Do you think I am that weak? HUH?” Sir Aloit cut her words by raising his voice in anger, which made Yerre flinch and felt scared at him.
“Aloit! Why are you raising your voice to my daughter!” Madam Rose shout in anger to Sir Aloit as she went over to her daughter and embrace her to her arms. Yerre drowned her face to Madam Rose’s chest while her sobs turn to a mess.
Lord Marthen only looks at his daughter and wife because he knows what Sir Aloit is doing. He knows Sir Aloit is acting like this because he wants to make Vendia despised and felt angry to him. So she will not worry and step inside the Astrod kingdom.
“Rose, go and bring back Vendia to her chamber for a while. I will talk to Aloit alone for now,” Lord Marthen requests his wife, who looks at him in disbelief and confusion.
[I will tell you later,] Lord Marthen mouthed to his wife, who keeps caressing their daughter back to comfort her. Madam Rose still felt like she wants to stay, but Lord Marthen give her a look that there’s something behind Sir Aloit behavior. So she nods and leaves the room with their daughter, who’s still crying mess in her arms.
When the two-person goes out and leaves the room, Sir Aloit then releases a trembling breath as he sat back down on the couch, covers his face with his two hands, lets out a warm and heavy pain of tears.
Lord Marthen heave a sigh as he stood out from his couch and stride close to Sir Aloit side, patting his shoulder as he cries in vain.
“It’s okay, let it all out,” Lord Marthen blurt out, making Sir Aloit cry even harder.
To be continued.
