He/Heroine And My Villainess - Chapter 207
HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS
(ENGINES SCHEMES INSIDE THE CRADLE)
Inside the well designed and decorated room, sat six people on the couch with a worried and stressed expression as they debated their thoughts upon finalizing the plan they made the other day. Alda looked straight at them all for a second before standing up from the couch and saying.
“All right, let’s do this. Lets finish this shit fast and go home. I also want to go home because I am worried about Yer—”
Alda paused in the middle of her sentence, feeling panic and nervous as she almost spoke out Yerre’s name to them. Alda gathered herself as she calmed and sighed in relief. Sir Arnold and his brothers look at her like there is something wrong, like something is off about her. Mike stood up from the couch, went close to her and asked.
“Who are you worried about?”
Alda looked straight at Mike with eyes that said no lies and worried for a second, then using her right hand, she used her finger to flick Mike’s forehead, which caused Mike to hiss in pain and pass through him.
“Aw! Why did you do that? ” Mike complained as he looked at Alda with a pout and an angry look on his face that most kids show their parents when they don’t receive the things they want.
Alda ignored his snort and childish tantrum as she strided close to the table, took the knight’s uniform, gave it to Sir Arnold and said.
“Get changed in the bathroom near the library. We will wait for you to finish,”
Alda pointed towards the area close to the library room, where she showed a white door that had an antic gold lion door knob. Sir Arnold then didn’t waste time and went inside the bathroom to change.
After Sir Arnold went to change inside the bathroom, the bed room once again turned silent and peaceful as they all sat back on the separate couch once again, waiting for Sir Arnold to finish.
One-minute passed and Sir Arnold then finished dressing. He went outside the bathroom and met them once again, making them all surprised and aware.
Mike, Troy and Clark stride closer to him and said.
“Woah, brother, you look new and stunning with that uniform,”
“Yes, the uniform fits you well. You look like a real knight right now, which is cool, “Troy mentions.
“Yeah, he does,” Clark agreed.
Alda looked at them then sigh as she went over to them, breaking up their compliment session, and gathered everyone’s attention as she said.
“Okay, enough with this compliment and what not. Let’s go do the plan, ”
Everyone then looked at her with a face full of alertness and caution.
“I will go out of my room for a while to check the environment inside and also count how many guards are roaming around the hallway going to the guest room for safety purposes,”
Everyone nodded and she then instructed them to go hide inside the library room for a while and lock the door from the inside for caution. Sir Arnold and his brothers then went inside the library to do Alda’s demand because they didn’t want to waste time.
From the time Sir Arnold and his brother were already inside the safe place, Alda went outside the chamber and started doing her work.
For fifteen minutes, Alda strides around the mansion looking, observing, calculating, remembering, and counting each area before heading to the guest room, while pretending like she is only looking around and having a normal roaming inside the mansion.
Alda felt happy upon knowing that there were only five guards that were roaming around inside the mansion. She felt relieved because all that was left now was to make a destruction so she could lead Sir Arnold’s brother outside her chamber into the window close to the guest room.
While she was in the state of thinking and gathering ideas, the five guards passed through her location and greeted her, but because she was so busy thinking, she didn’t know someone was passing through her and greeted her.
It didn’t take long for Alda’s brain to think of an idea, and she laughed loudly like a maniac, feeling satisfied upon succeeding in forming an idea to destruct the guards.
The five knight guards who were not yet far away from where she was standing heard her and they all got concerned. All of them stop on their track and look straight at Alda, who also looks at them with surprise.
‘Are they all here? But how did they pass through me earlier? Wait. Did they hear me laughing like a maniac earlier? ‘ Alda thought, worried and shocked upon seeing the five knight guards four meters away from her wearing a concerned face.
Alda went over to them and smiled, brushing off the awkward and uncomfortable thoughts a minute ago and asking.
“Did you guys pass through my location a minute ago? I apologize for not noticing and greeting you all back a minute ago; I was in deep thought, ”
The five guards look at her in panic when they hear her apologize to them. They all bowed and said in sync.
“You do not need to apologize to us, Milady, we understand,”
Alda smirked for a minute, then smiled as she responded to them.
“Okay, oh. I almost forgot, Butler Frenz called for you all to come to the kitchen. He said to me earlier that he had something for you guys to do, ”
The five knights look at each other for a while, feeling something is off, but they brush it off by asking Alda back.
“May we ask what kind of something it is, Milady?”
“Oh, I didn’t know what it is actually. Butler Frenz said only to pass the message to me earlier in my chamber, “Alda answered as she felt funny inside because the sound of her words were so formal and full of lies.
“Oh, why didn’t he tell us right away?” One knight asks, making Alda annoyed and bored. Alda sighed and replied with a firm tone of voice.
“Are you doubting my words then?”
The five guards looked at her in fear and apologized, stuttering.
“N—no, Milady, forgive me,”
Alda pretends to be angry as she blurts out a scoffing sound into her mouth and says.
“Good, go then,”
The five guards then walked off in a hurry, making Alda sigh in relief and running back to Lady Cathlen’s chamber. When she arrived back inside the chamber, Alda then went over to the library door and knocked it like she was in a hurry.
Knock
“Come out now, hurry. ” She said.
“Let’s go before the guards come back upstairs,”
Sir Arnold and his brothers go out in haste and walk out to the room.
All of them then stride through the hall in a hurry to go towards the guest room. Alda re-checks every alley and corner they pass through, for assurance and safety
As they walk, Jin can’t help but ask her about how she managed to distract the guards away earlier.
“Lady Cathlen, how did you manage to put away the guards who roamed inside?”
Alda looked at him then showed a satisfied grinned smile and reply.
“I lied to them, that’s all,”
Everyone was stunned and concerned.
“What? But what if they find out that you are only lying? “Mike asked, worried. Alda didn’t look at him. Instead, she focusses her eyes on the front, observing and listening to every area they pass through as they walk.
“Don’t worry. Even if they find out that I was lying, they can’t still harm me or question me about it because I am the Duke’s daughter, which means I also control them, ”
Mike and the others felt a relief wind pass through them as they heard her respond. After a long stride through the hallway, all of them finally face the entrance door of the guest room. Alda felt relieved and glad. She turned to face the others and said.
“You guys can go now and be careful,”
Sir Arnold’s brother then nodded and went out through the window close to the guest room entrance door.
“Sir Arnold, are you ready?” Alda asked and Sir Arnold only nodded with a firm and alert expression. Alda breathed a sigh for a while as they stood outside the door, gathering all her confidence and determination to carry out her plan.
It takes two minutes to get herself ready and face the danger that waits inside the guest room. Alda sighed for a second time, then nodded signaling Sir Arnold that she is ready as she wore a forced and fake smile, then held the door knob, twisted it and went inside with Sir Arnold wearing a uniform of Duke Thranduil Knights.
When Alda and Sir Arnold went inside, they then saw a woman sitting on a soft couch who was still wearing a green cloak. Alda’s heartbeat quickened as she felt nervous once again, but she held it in and forced herself to not panic in front of the fortune teller.
“Mrs. Tilda,” she called, making the woman turn around to look at her with a bright smile and a glad expression.
“Lady Cathlen,” Mrs. Tilda replied with a gentle smile.
To be continued.
