HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS
(IN FOR TRIALS)
Kayla takes a one-hour break from searching for a book that has a large number of pages. She ate the bread that Marsha had left for her earlier for fifteen minutes. After eating, she then drank the tea that Marsha had requested for her earlier and sighed as she felt satisfaction in her belly. She laid back on the couch, spread her arms and felt the relaxing sensation that the soft couch gave her.
She released a calm sigh and a soft groan.
“Ha… this is so hard,” she said, closing her eyes for a bit to relax. Marsha was in bed reading some spell books when she heard her voice. She turned to look at her mother, closed the book and put it on the bed as she then stood up from the bed and stride over to Kayla.
When Marsha arrived at her back, she then stretched her hands and massaged her mother’s shoulders, which had a surprising effect on Kayla. She opened her eyes in haste and felt tense, but a sudden realization made her feel at ease. Kayla remembered who was with her inside the room, then began to feel at ease and relaxed.
Marsha felt happy upon seeing her mother accept her massage. She continued massaging her mother’s shoulder, giving a relief effect from the numbness Kayla felt in her shoulder. She closed her eyes once again and felt the contentment she felt inside her heart.
“Mother, did you find what you were looking for?” Marsha asked as she continued giving a massage to her mother’s shoulder. Kayla opened her eyes in a snail motion and replied.
“No, I am having a hard time searching for it. The pages I read have the same spells, but they don’t produce the result I was expecting. It is different from what I need to see, “she explained. Marsha looked at her. She wants to ask what kind of spell it is so she can help, but something is pulling her back to the corner, saying that she should not ask or bother about it. Marsha heaved a silent sigh and replied.
“Mother, do you want me to help you search for it?”
“No, it’s fine,” Kayla answered without a second thought. It was like she was hiding something or the spell she was looking for was confidential and this made Marsha curious. But she steady herself by not asking and not letting her head wonder far from what she was seeing and hearing from her mother’s words.
“Okay, but if mother ever needs help, I am always here,” she responded. Kayla nodded and gave out a soft sigh in her mouth. Marsha continued her free massage for one hour until Kayla told her that was already enough. She then stopped what she was doing and let go of her mother’s shoulder. Kayla then immediately went back from searching for the right spell to the book.
On the other hand, inside Lady Cathlen Alda was writing a letter to her desk room. A letter to Yerre saying she couldn’t visit her tonight because she was going to the Astrod forest to search for the lamp and that tomorrow she would bring an important person that she should meet. An important person who holds the pen in her hands, the one who created and gave life to this world.
She didn’t insert the last part. Alda only wrote that she would bring someone over tomorrow when she visits her at night. After that, Alda then ordered Angela to take the task of delivering the letter to Mia in silence and cautiously.
Angela took it, changed her clothes into commoner clothes, and hurried over to ask permission to go out for a bit. Their work for today has already ended, so they are allowed to wear clothes they want to wear. The butler allowed her to go and didn’t delay her anymore.
Angela went over to the barn to get her horse again and rode him out of the Duke’s residence to go to the Marquis residence. She arrived after thirty minutes of riding in haste. The guard asked her the usual questions and when she answered, They then let her inside the gate and made her wait outside the Marquis mansion.
While Angela waits outside, she can’t help but feel nervous and she does not know why. She stayed at her place, which is outside the entrance door of the Marquis family. Until Mia arrived. It didn’t take long for Mia to show up and meet her. Angela immediately went over to her side and hugged her like they had not met for months.
Mia smiled and hugged her back into her arms. She looked at her, then lowered her head to the side. Upon doing so, Mia then saw a white envelope in Angela’s hand. She broke the hug and asked.
“A letter from her?”
Angela didn’t waste time and immediately nodded, making things easier. Mia took the letter and nodded. She already knew that the letter Angela was given was very confidential and they knew it. She hugs Angela back into her arms as she accepts the letter and leans closer to her ear.
“Take care on the way I can feel something heavy on the wind today,” she said with a worried tone of voice. Angela gulp and nod as she responded to Mia embrace by hugging her back also.
“I will. Thank you for telling me, “she responded. Mia then let go of her and looked straight at her for a second, smiling.
“I must go back now,” Angela added, and Mia nodded. She turned her back as she walked away from her and exited the Marquis residence. She walked over to her horse that she had tied to the tree and rode it. Mia looked at her figure until it was gone and went back inside the mansion to go to their quarters for a while, pretending to get something inside.
When she was done with her plan of fabricating the time, she went back outside the servant quarter and went over to Lady Vendia’s chamber. She walked for thirty minutes until she arrived at the entrance door. She saw the new appointed knight outside the chamber standing like a statue guarding the door. She greeted her with a bow and a smile.
Sir Lay also repeated what she had done for him as a respect and ask.
“You want to speak to Miss Vendia?”
Mia didn’t deny it and just nodded. Sir Lay then understood and knocked on the door, making Yerre aware that someone had come to visit her. Mia waited for the response and heard acceptance. Mia then thanked Sir Lay and went inside the chamber. When she entered, Mia saw her on the bed looking at the ceiling with eyes full of wonder and curiosity.
Her arms were spread as well as her legs and her eyes focused only on one thing, which was the ceiling inside the bedroom. Yerre turned her head to the side and gave out a gentle smile as she sat up from the bed.
“What is it, Mia?” she asked. Mia went close to her bed and stretched her hand to hold the letter for her to take. Yerre looked at her and stared at the white envelope that had the symbol wax of the duke family.
“Is this a letter from Lady Cathlen?” she asked. Mia nodded and answered.
“Yes, I received it not long ago. Angela visited here and gave it to me, ”
Yerre took the letter from Mia’s hands and stood up from the bed to open the wax sealed envelope. She went over to her desk and took out the small scissors. When the envelope was opened, Yerre then read what was inside the paper and couldn’t help but sigh as she felt sad, but she understood.
She stared at the paper for a while, forgetting that Mia was still with her inside the room. Upon seeing her reactions, Mia’s curiosity rose over her and she couldn’t help but feel concerned.
“Are you okay, Miss?” she asked. Yerre was jolted awake from her thoughts and turned to look at Mia, who had a concerned face. She smiled and answered.
“Yes, I’m fine. Thank you for delivering me the letter, ”
Mia nodded and replied.
“Your welcome, Miss,”
Yerre felt glad and couldn’t help but give out a thankful smile.
The room turned silent for a second as the wind passed. Yerre thought that there was something else Mia wanted to convey to her and so she asked.
“Is there something else that Lady Cathlen want me to know?”
Mia shakes her head as a no then responds.
“No, that’s all, Miss,”
Yerre releases a sigh as she nods and tells Mia that she can go now.
“Have a good night sleep, Miss,” Mia mentions. Yerre nodded and said the same thing to her.
“Have a good night sleep to you too, Mia,”
To be continued.
