He/Heroine And My Villainess - Chapter 226
HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS
(RACE ON TRAILS)
When Angela arrived inside the servant quarters to ask permission, the head butler was absent. She asked the other servants if they saw him, and they answered that the Duke and the Duchess had summoned him to the guest room. Angela thanks them for their reply and leaves them be. Angela went back to Lady Cathlen’s chambers to tell her that she couldn’t ask permission to go out because the head butler had been summoned to the guest room by the duchess and duke.
She knocked on the door and Alda immediately opened it, only to see Angela with a guilty expression. Alda asked her what was wrong, and Angela then delivered everything to her. When Alda heard the reason for her expressions and early arrival in the chamber, she then advised her to take the second passage to the garden to go out. Angela can’t help but feel nervous and scared about her idea.
Alda saw her reactions to her suggestions and couldn’t help but feel worried. She sighed and said.
“Let me escort you outside instead. Let’s pretend that we are only taking a walk inside the garden and take the opportunity to leave in haste by using the secret door inside the garden, ”
Angela looked at her with a scared expression and said.
“I apologize, but this is too risky. What if we get caught by our actions? ”
Alda understood what she meant, but Alda was never worried because she knew that Angela could escape no matter what happened, and if they got caught, she already knew what she would do.
“You don’t have to worry if things get out of hand. I will do everything I can to get it back under my control, “she responded. Angela looked at her and nodded. She always trusted her no matter what happened.
“But, Miss. If I go out to the passage door inside the garden, I will be delayed coming back because I can’t use my horse, “Angela answered as she spoke out all her worries. Alda sighed and gave her a smile.
“Don’t worry. I will delay the time and wait for you inside the graden, “Alda mentions. Angela didn’t delay her mission for long, so they went out of the chamber and strided down to the hall way to go to the garden where the secret door was hidden, while pretending to only have a night walk to calm their thoughts and hearts.
Upon arriving inside the garden, the moonlight spreads inside the garden, making the scenery calm but also dangerous, because if you get caught in the atmosphere, your thoughts will be unfocused, which could cause a bad result if you were trying to escape or hide. Angela looked at Alda, then she saw her wearing a plain and firm expression.
“Miss, is Mrs.Tilda going to help you find the lamp you lost?” she asked. Alda glanced at her and replied. She didn’t look at her. Alda only looked straight ahead, observing the surroundings and hearing the sounds of every place they passed through. The garden inside was filled with all kinds of flowers that each had different shapes and were formed by the columns.
“Yes, she is,” Alda said in a brief reply. She does not want to talk anymore because they are almost close to the passage door. After five and a half minutes, the two of them finally came face to face with the cement wall that had already been surrounded by grass and roots. Alda then checked every corner and place first before instructing Angela to hurry and enter the door in secret. When Alda felt everything was already okay, she then told Angela to go on and leave. Angela reached her signal, then opened the door in haste.
After arriving at the other side of the place, Angela then hurried to walk in haste to get to the market to sell horses for a cheap price. While Alda still remains inside the garden, she looks up at the sky only to see stars that are dazzling and twinkling like a series of lights. A cold wind passed by her side, making her hiss as she felt the stiff sensation of the wind that passed through where she was standing.
Alda looked at herself and saw that she had forgotten to wear a warm cloak to cover her from the cold that the night brought outside their residence. She looked at the passage door and thought for a while. She was thinking of going back to Lady Cathlen chamebr for a while, using the balcony and ladder to climb up without causing any commotion or worry. But she also worries that if Angela arrived fast and she was not around the garden, mistakes would be made.
She looked at the sky once again, sighing as she endured the coldness that the night gave out to her. Alda kept walking back and forth, making herself busy and becoming distracted by feeling cold through all her body.
On the other hand, Yerre was writing something on her table desk beside the bed. While she was writing on the paper, her face couldn’t seem to stop smiling as she wrote. The lamp that was hanging up on the tall and wide ceiling was light, making the place more clear and bright. Yerre continues as she writes something on the paper. When she was done, she then recited what she had written one by one.
“To have a date with Alda and…” she kept reciting all the things she wanted to do and wanted to try with Alda until she finished it. She sighed a relief sigh as she stretched all her hands that had felt sore a little. What she was doing was a distraction. She was trying to distract her thoughts by only thinking about her days with Alda and doing some fun stuff with Alda when they meet tomorrow. She keeps going, imagining things as she writes on the white paper.
She tried her best to do things and make herself think only positive and pleasant things in her heart and mind. After writing such things, she then hurried over to the bed and laid down with the paper in her hand. She brought it up in front of her face and read it once again. This time, as she read it by numbers, she forced herself to imagine things on her way.
She imagined things in her own way, based on the things she wrote on the paper. Until her face turned tired and her eyes slowly drifted to sleep. Yerre then fell into a slumber and went to sleep. The room has now turned quiet and peaceful. The only thing you can hear is the wind outside the place and the howling sound of the wolves and dogs inside the forest and town. Finally, Yerre fell asleep without feeling sad or disappointed.
She fell asleep feeling happy and excited. Sir Lay knocked on the door to ask permission to tell Yerre that he would go rest now, but didn’t receive a reply. So he knocked again and called out Lady Vendia’s name, but still no response. He opened the door with a mild slit to see if the person he called was still awake, but all he could see inside was the light being on but no sign of awake people.
“Lady Vendia?” He called three times already, but still no response. He gave up and just opened the door wide. He went further inside and closed the door from behind him in silence. He stride closer to the bed and saw that Yerre was now snoozing and sleeping soundly. Her blanket was around her waist, covering her half body.
Sir Lay can’t help but sigh and smile. It was his first time seeing the lady he served sleep in peace, but he was unaware that someone had already entered her room. Somehow, this thought made him wonder if Sir Aloit was also inside her room guarding her all the time because of her unawareness problem when she slept. He wandered his thoughts for a bit, then came back to reality with a sigh.
He looked at Yerre for a second with a concerned feeling, then decided to go out and ask permission from her parents instead, that he would go back to his chamber now. Sir Lay closed the door at his back in silence as he went out of Lady Vendia’s chamber, then stride to Lord Marthen’s office for five minutes until he arrived.
When he arrived, Sir Lay then knocked and called out to Lord Marthen from outside the door. Inside the office, Lord Marthen was in deep concentration as he looked over at the rate of their business as months and days passed. The supplies increase but the demand for customers decreases. The problem with their investment property increased as months passed by, which made him alarmed and worried. When the door knocked inside, he couldn’t help but hold his forehead and felt stress run over him.
“Come in Sir Lay,” he replied. From the day Sir Aloit introduced them to them. Lord Marthen already memorized his voice and all his servants. Their voices have been memorized by him.
To be continued.
