He/Heroine And My Villainess - Chapter 232
HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS
(THE FRAGILE ROSE INSIDE THE DARK TINY CUPS)
Alda saw his terrified expression and stunned expression. She smirked and replied.
“You all already know she is a fortune teller and a person who can see into the future. Why are you so surprised? What she did was simply a tiny spell. She only put a barrier around her, so she couldn’t hear any noise when she cast a search spell to find the lamp, ”
Everyone nodded at her words and the next person to ask was Troy.
“What should we do here then?”
Alda shrugged her shoulders and replied.
“Nothing, we just stand here and wait for her to find the lamp herself,”
Upon hearing her simple reply, all of them couldn’t help but be dumbstruck and feel useless. They all sigh and don’t ask anymore questions.
All their eyes are now focused on the person who is inside the barrier who is currently mumbling words out of her mouth. The light on the barrier was the same as what the moonlight showed them. It’s magnificent and amazingly beautiful.
Kayla closed her eyes as she kept reciting the words and details of the spell for finding the lamp. Her hair has swaying like there’s wind inside but those were only an effect of the spell that she have been casting.
After five minutes passed, she still had not found the lamp location. Her brows started to furrow like she had a headache. Her forehead started to sweat and she felt uncomfortable all over her body.
Her breath started to lessen with air and she couldn’t help but feel anxious inside, but she couldn’t stop now.
She still continues despite the warning her body gave her. She is aware of Mrs. Tilda’s body. She knows everything because she uses a spell to see through the past memories of this body. She knows how long this body could endure a heavy spell and how far this body can go on giving out strength.
She knows it all except Alda. The person she now treats as a friend and unrelated sister. She never told her about the condition of her body in her book because she didn’t want to share it if other people didn’t ask for it. She is the person who waits for others to ask before she shares private things with them. Because she believes asking to know personal things about others needs approval first.
Her body began to lose energy because of the strength she used while casting the spell, but she didn’t want to give up. She must find the lamp no matter what happens. Because the consequence of it being in the hands of someone harmful and selfish will be more horrifying than her collapsing because of her low tolerance of energy.
The others kept looking at her until Alda felt the cold passing of the wind. She observes Kayla’s facial complexions and finds it kind of weird that something is off. She walked a bit closer to the barrier and tried to reach out to her outside, using her voice, but Kayla didn’t even hear a bit of her voice because the barrier was so thick. No matter how hard the others try to shout or scream, she still can’t hear them.
Alda started to feel wary. She walked even closer to the barrier and when she arrived. She finally saw Kayla’s uncomfortable expression and weak condition. She became a bit pale and her lips were cracked. It was like the spell was eating all her strength and health inside her body. She started to worried and feel terrified.
“STOP! You are torturing your body! STOP IT! KAYL–TILDA! ”
Her face showed anxiousness and terror. She shouted outside the barrier, but Kayla still couldn’t hear her. She gritted her teeth and swung her cloak in a harsh manner, making the hood uncover. She turned around to look at Sir Arnold and his brother with a pissed off expression.
“QUICK! Help me reach out to her or else she is going to die! ” She said with a haste tone of voice.
Sir Arnold and his brother gasp. They actually didn’t know what was going on, why she was panicking, and why she was acting in a rush earlier, but when she turned around and called for help, they immediately knew what was happening. Kayla is sacrificing herself just to find the missing objects that are very important inside the book.
All of them then immediately run over to Alda side and asked what they should do. Alda furrowed her brows because of her panic. Her mind couldn’t circulate well enough to help Kayla. She breathed out, closing her eyes, trying to calm down.
So she could think better while Sir Arnold and his brother looked over to the barrier with full of anxiousness and saw Kayla now so pale, like she had run out of blood inside her body and she was sweating everywhere body. Her facial features is very worst and looks like in verge of breakdown any minute now.
“She is crazy! Is she going to commit suicide? ” Mike asked in disbelief. All his brothers also have the same words in their mouths, but they can’t say them out loud. They all just stare outside the barrier, so stunned and their hearts are palpitating with worry. Even if they don’t trust this person.
The life of a human being is still precious and a gift. Everyone has a will to live no matter how long they want it or what kind of sin they committed. You, as a human being, are not allowed to judge and take it away from them because it’s fully given to them.
Sir Arnold gritted his teeth and started to run in front of the barrier. When he arrived, he immediately made a hand gesture signaling Kayla to stop the incantation and open the barrier for a while.
He kept doing it until Kayla saw him. She flicked her exhausted eyes and shook her head no. This made them all shocked and made their breath hitch in terror. Alda finally opened her eyes once more and saw Sir Arnold in front of the barrier waving his hands, making Kayla aware of what was going on with her body.
She saw that Kayla saw Sir Arnold outside the barrier, but she shakes her head as an answer, which means no. This made her eyes wide open in shock and fear. She hurried over beside Sir Arnold and shouted at the top of her lungs as if Kayla could hear her.
“STOP! OPEN THE BARRIER THIS INSTANT! ”
Kayla watch her lips moving and receive what she was saying. Even if she couldn’t hear Alda voice she knows what she only meant is to stop the spell.
Kayla watch her for a second then shook her head again as a no. This made Alda flinch in shocked and anger.
“I SAID STOP IT! STOP YOUR SPELL NOW!” Her voice are filled of force and heavy plead. Her eyes are now filled of overwhelming warm tears. It started to flow out into her eyes and onto her face like a rain drops. The others looked at her were stunned to the core.
She didn’t know why she cried, but upon knowing the past of the person in front of her, made her think that she should not suffer in her second life. She should live a happy life. She had already sacrificed herself for her sisters and parents in her previous life.
Why must she also suffer and sacrifice her life for other people she doesn’t know well yet? She is a selfless person and Alda knew it, but how come this person didn’t think of herself and just gave everything she had to other people?
She hadn’t formed a strong bond with them yet. Why are there so many people living in this world that are so stupid and idiots? This made her angry and felt despair.
“STOP IT! STOP I SAY! ” She kept pleading and begging until she felt her feet going numb and weak from feeling sentimental and distressed about Kayla. She fell down to the ground, touched the barrier with her hands and said.
“Please… stop it. I don’t want to owe anyone in my life. It’s too unbearing, ”
She continue to weep. Her sobs turned to a mess and weak sobs while she looked straight at Kayla, who looked at her with wide eyes because she was surprised upon seeing her crying and kneeling down to the ground because of her. Kayla continued looking at her while she continued reciting the spell to search for the lamp.
She didn’t expect someone to cry for her. It made her heart weak and it made her selfish, thinking she wanted to live more years. She wants to enjoy life and experience more things inside her book.
She doesn’t want to die yet, but to do that she has to put her heart at ease and find the lamp first. Kayla closed her eyes. She didn’t want to look at Alda’s crying state anymore. She wants to focus even if she knows she is almost at her limits.
But upon knowing that she was almost at her limit, she also knew she needed to hurry and find it. Avoiding and not minding all the chaos that happened outside, Kayla used her last weapon, and that was to call the genie’s name inside the lamp.
“Astril Kang come out and fulfilled my longing wish,” she said, and a light showed 200 meters away from them.
To be continued.
