Inhaling that comforting musky and spicy scent of his, she closed her eyes momentarily. And when she opened, she said, “I never asked you to abide by any rules Morpheous!” And she paused to peer deep into his eyes. “But then how come you always define the rules for me?”
And she could see his forehead crinkle in irritation.
“Now is not the time to argue Caroline. I told you. Rather I warned you. He is dangerous. He just needs to snap his fingers to bring every thing crumbling down around him, Caroline. So stay away from him. Do you get it?”
“I get it Morpheous!”
“I get it big time. But you should also know that I didn’t run to meet him. I was minding my own business, and he just happened to be there. And I was not chatting up about the weather with him. I just wanted to know why he was here.”
