“Why are you so concerned if she reached home safely or not brother?”
Echoed a voice from behind and Nubeous turned back.
“She seemed distressed.” He replied curtly, trying to dismiss Lord Oberon. “And what were you doing in my bedroom all this time?”
“Nothing! Mogwai and I were just listening to your epic conversation with her.”
A crude smile etched on Nubeous’s lips, and he asked, “So how did I sound? Convincing enough?”
“Very!” Lord Oberon gave out a sly smile and picked up an apple from the wicker basket placed on top of the dining table. Taking a big bite, he sat on the desk and looked at his brother.
“Spill!” commanded Nubeous as he watched his brother looking at him with a face swarming with questions.
“So… the emperor of Denmark How did you convince him? Are your powers working here?”
