“But didn’t you tell me that only when angels love someone and make love to them, they mark each other. Then how can I be marked when I haven’t even”
Pursing a short breath, Morpheus looked at her helplessly – “I wish I could explain it to you Caroline because I am myself searching for the answer.”
“So you don’t know who has marked me?”
And she watched him stay silent upon hearing that question and that silence of his started stinging her. ‘It cannot be!’
Her heart was not ready to accept the theory that was swarming inside her head.
“Please don’t tell me it’s your brother. I beg of you.” She asked holding onto that towel. Her fingers clutching on to it as tightly as possible. Her eyes desperately looking at his face for an answer.
An answer that would suffice for her pain.
“It is my brother Caroline!”
