A wave of irritation ran across her body because a moment before that very person had almost tried to choke her to death. She couldn’t forget how mercilessly he had pushed her away as if she was a piece of garbage to be tossed away.
Holding that note, she was still deliberating about that dress, when Morpheous entered the room.
So she hurriedly crumpled the piece of paper and threw it inside the dustbin, but her actions didn’t go unnoticed by him.
They shared an awkward moment of silence as he walked towards his desk and laid out his bag and what possibly looked like a suit on the table-top.
‘Is he seriously going to the ball after everything that had happened?’ She couldn’t believe her eyes.
“Rooftop! Now”
She muttered and marched out of the room, and he obediently followed.
