“Where is she Morpheous? Where is she?”
Caroline asked desperately as she looked at the empty casket from above. The silken white rug inside the wooden casket looked as if nothing had perished on it. It looked untouched. It had withered on its own but not a single piece of dirt was on its surface.
Frightened to death, Caroline slumped on the ground and seeing that Morpheous immediately leaped up and held her by her shoulder.
“What happened to her body Morpheous? Where is my mother?”
She was barely able to connect the dots when all of a sudden her attention went to the marble that had covered her mother’s grave and pointing her finger towards it, she muttered, “What the hell is happening?”
The engraving on the tombstone no longer carried the name of her mother. It bore the name Alaya.
“What does this mean? What does this even mean?”
She turned towards both of them, expecting an answer but they both seemed equally baffled as her.
