Heaven Destroyer - Chapter 203
Blood flowed like water, and corpses littered from the greenfields to the shining castles—castles burned like rubbish while emperors hanged like beggars. Slaves became slaughterers and slave traders became sheep—in every direction there was chaos, and Ayaan could ask nothing better.
He killed emperors and freed slaves and sowed the seed of hatred and disappeared with no trace. He killed two birds with a single stone—he caused disorder and chaos and panic and at the same time collected an enormous amount of goodwill energy increasing his strength by leaps and bounds.
Although chaos killed thousands and thousands became orphans—a significant cause requires a great sacrifice as well. After all it was better to kill thousands than dying by the enemy’s hands. He used the chaos and panic to snuck into the castles and palaces of great kings and emperors and killed many and hung many and beheaded many.
After six months he became the abomination of Heavenly Palace because he killed tens of their appointed kings and emperors while burning their medicine field and releasing the slaves. On the other hand, the poor regarded him as their hero. Though thousands died because of him, he released hundreds of thousands as well and no one could deny that fact.
Far away in the Dralyra Empire, a man rushed through the crowd, splitting the blacked passage and pushing himself further. “Getaway, you bastard!” someone cursed at him when he touched his butt and retracted his hand awkwardly before resuming his task amidst the cursing and kicking and shouting.
After coming out of the crowd the man huffed and gasped, he wiped the sweat from his forehead and a cool wind passed through his drenched back. He saw in front of him and saw a man giving. “My people! The Heavenly Palace had made us slaves and snatched our lands and raped our women and daughters. They treated us like nothing but dirt and killed us like nothing but ants. Do you want to live your lives like this?!”
“No!” the crowd of thousands of people shouted in unison.
“Do you want your children to live as your ancestors lived!?”
“No!”
“Do you want to change your future!?”
“Yes!”
“Do you want to slaughter who slaughtered our loved ones!?”
“Yes!!”
“Leader!” amid the heated shouting, a completely out of rhythm voice interrupted. Everyone turned towards the owner of the voice in irritation. Alexander also looked at the man and frowned as he interrupted his dashing speech after all. However when he saw the man’s face, all the irritation disappeared. “What’s the matter?” he hurriedly formed a barrier so no one could hear his conversation.
“Le-leader, that bastard Emperor Imusel has betrayed us. He informed the Heavenly Palace. The Ninth Elder Del Life is coming.” The man turned pale when he recalled the information.
“Elder Del?” sneered Alexander. “He was nothing but a little leader of Life Temple now he has become an elder.” Alexander paused and looked at the man calmly. “Don’t worry, everything is in our control. I placed you in the Emperor’s castle as a spy because I knew the bastard can’t be trusted. I think I wasn’t wrong. Though he pretended he hated Heavenly Palace, how could his intention escape me?”
Zave sighed in relief when he saw Alexander still had a confident smile on his face. Though he had no idea from where this confidence came from. “But… they… have ten thousand soldiers and all of them cultivators. We have only three thousand and more than half are mages?” Zave’s lips trembled when he said the number ‘ten thousand’. It was a huge number and could slaughter any empire and kingdom or even sects as there was an elder among them.
“No matter how many thousands soldiers they have,” Alexander curled his lips in a mocking grin. “We will slaughter them all.”
Only after Alexander said those words did Zave calmed down. “Yes, one more thing. You asked me to find the information about the man called Ayaan.”
Alexander’s eyes flashed suddenly, and he grabbed Zave’s shoulder. “What news? Tell me fast!”
Zave looked bewildered, it was the first time he had seen Alexander so much agitated since he had joined his army two months before. He always acted calm and collected and confident but hearing Ayaan’s name he lost control over his emotions. “Si-sir, my hand…” Due to pain on Zave’s hand, his eyes became wet and couldn’t help but plead in a low voice.
“I’m sorry,” he apologised when he saw a painful look on his subordinates face. “Can you please tell me about him?”
“Ahh… yes,” said Zave. “It looks like he has a huge grudge with the Heavenly Palace, they have sent the tenth elder after him, but he was killed by Ayaan.” When he said this, he could not help but feel deep respect for the man. After all, how many men had the courage and strength to kill someone from the Heavenly Palac?
Even those sects who proclaimed themselves the rival of the Palace did not have such guts. Otherwise they wouldn’t stay silent all this time even after such a riot had formed against the Palace.
Zave looked at Alexander’s calm face and continued. “He killed over twenty Emperors appointed by Heavenly Palace and freed slaves and burned their medicine fields that are the source of their potion making and cultivation. Heavenly Palace tried to hunt him down, but they could not find his trace. He comes and goes like wind leaving no sign behind.”
Alexander heard and frowned and hesitated, but in the end, he asked. “Does he have companions?”
“Of course, who wouldn’t want to follow someone like him after all… cough,” he coughed when he saw Alexander’s narrow eyes. “I mean he has charisma and people would love to follow him. He has hundreds of thousands of supporters who call him Chaotic Lord.”
“I wasn’t asking if he has supporters or not, I was asking if he has companions,” Alexander could not help but become irritated with this bastard subordinate of his.
“Ahh, yes, there is a rumour about two children.”
“…”
“Ahh, yes there is also a rumour about a few women.”
Alexander who was about to punch this bastard smiled hearing his last sentence. “Good, good.” He laughed and commanded. “Pass my order to everyone, climb the barren hill as soon as possible!”
