The party ended after Cathlen get back to her chamber and Prince Adam go home feeling down and confused,

*Cathlen Chamber*

Cathlen is already on her bed wearing her sleeping gown staring at the ceiling blankly then the last scene of regret flashes through her mind.

“WHY” Vendia

“What?” Cathlen

“Why are you helping me just now?” Vendia

“…” Cathlen

“What did you do to her” Cathlen

“What?” Prince Adam

“I’m asking you what you did to her before her parents arrived” Cathlen

“Cathlen, I can’t understand, why your concern about her, she is Vendia, remember?” Prince Adam

“ANSWER ME!” Cathlen

“I’m grateful for what you have done for me but I also want you to know I’m not weak I’m the Duke and Duchess daughter no matter what Vendia throw to me I can manage it on my own, I don’t need anyone help” Cathlen

“And for you Mother and Father, please, I’m 23 now I can manage my problem and I don’t want you two to ever treat me like a child again. Thank you for the grand party but I’m tired and exhausted I will go retire to my chamber now”

“Ugh… I mess up big…” Cathlen hold her head problematically as she remembers what she had done an hour ago,

‘She is right, why did I help her? and the idiot is also right, why do I care about her?’ She wonders frustrated messing up her hair,

“Aish! I don’t know… my heart feels heavy when I saw her hurt and I feel mad when someone touches her” She murmured to herself

‘AHH!!! GRUH!!! WHY AM I BEING LIKE THIS? WHAT IS SHE DOING TO ME?’

*Deep sigh*

Cathlen get something under her pillow and it is the lamp that her father gift for her and she scrub it using her hand,

“Master welcome back, how are you?” Genie greet her

“I’m not fine” She replies sighing deeply

“Why master?” Genie asks

“That is the problem I don’t know what is going on with myself” She responded,

“…” Genie didn’t understand her words

“Genie what should I do?”

“About what master?” Genie ask confused

“You see, I have this certain someone whenever that someone is around I feel happy and my loneliness fade away” She continues

“And whenever I saw that certain someone get hurt I feel mad I don’t know why I’m so confused I got irritated and I ended up hurting that certain someone then feel guilt after” She explains

‘Uh certain someone ha… okay, okay let’s pretend we don’t know that is Vendia’ Genie making fun of Cathlen a little bit

“That can only mean that you like that certain someone master” Genie reply

‘Je Je even though I know that certain someone your talking about is Vendia’ Genie internally assert

‘Huh? like? who? her? Vendia? Like?’ She contradicts

“What? I don’t like that certain someone is impossible” She continues opposing,

“I mean why I should like that someone I should avoid that someone because that someone is dangerous” Cathlen emphasis

“Uh… master hold on” Genie got ignored and can’t catch up with her words and behavior,

‘If you don’t like that certain someone why you’re overreacting’ genie internally pointed,

“And I only like yerre, in my heart there’s only one person that I want to be with and that is yerre not, that certain someone” She whole heartedly confesses

“Right you don’t like that someone then”

“That’s right”

“But you still have to find out you’re why right?”

“Yes” Cathlen reply

“That is the point then master”

“What”

“Get close to that someone”

“What? why should I?”

“So you will figure out the answer of your why” genie pointed out

“Ahh… No, I just avoid this why of mine that would be better” She reply insisted

“Okay but you won’t know the answer unless you figure it out yourself master, avoiding it only mean guilt and regret to you” Genie pointed

“Why should I? I already had someone in my heart genie you know that” Cathlen mention,

“I know master, but I didn’t mean it for you to pursue her because you have feelings for her”

“Which I don’t” Cathlen corrected

“Right, but what I mean is, for you to figure out the answer of your question master you have to figure it out own your own” Genie elaborate

“I see…” Cathlen nod understand

“I haven’t experienced this kind of thing master sorry if my answer didn’t satisfy you” Genie mention

“No is enough your answer is just right, thank you, genie” Cathlen smile at genie feeling light

“Your welcome master I’m glad I could help”

‘So I should get close to Vendia to be able to figure out this why of mine ha’ She thought

“But how” She blurts out serious

“Master?” genie heard her

“genie how can I get close to that certain someone?” She asks seriously

“Oh, I don’t know master I haven’t meet this certain someone you were talking about” genie pretending that he doesn’t have a clue,

“Oh her name is Vendia”

“WHAT?!” genie pretending to be surprised

” *eye-rolled* Tsk! I thought you know everything ” Cathlen suspiciously looked at Genie

“Oh yes, I know everything I just pretend I didn’t know” genie responds like nothing,

*Gasp*

“WHAT?! YOU!” genie had slip of a tongue immediately cover his mouth with his both hands,

“Oops!” genie utter

“Oops?” Cathlen feel dumb at the moment,

“JE JE JE sorry master you were so serious so I made fun of you a little bit”

genie confess, Cathlen blushed feeling ashamed of herself for not figuring out that genie is making fun of her all this time,

“YOU…” Cathlen look at genie bashful shuddering from embarrassment

“Y-yes master?” genie feel guilty

“Go back to your LAMP!” Cathlen shout at him then he rash inside without a second thought,

‘AHH!!! this little punk!’ Cathlen throw the lamp on the floor harshly

“Aw! master forgive me…” genie cry out inside the lamp

“Hemp! serves you right” Cathlen grin satisfied upon successfully taking revenge,

-Marquis residence-

“Welcome back young miss!!!” Mary cheerfully greet them, excited upon seeing Vendia already back home,

“Welcome back my lord and madam” Sebi greet their master

“Welcome back Young miss, your excellency and Madam” the other servant greet them in sync, Lord Marthen nod serious,

“Young miss what happened, why is your face so down?” she asked concerned

“Mary prepare a bath for Vendia immediately and help her change after, she needs to rest comfortably tonight” Madam Rose instruct,

“Yes madam” Mary respond understand

“Sebi take care of the other necessary things” Lord Marthen mention

“Of course your excellency leave it to me, rest well” Sebi reply bowing and Lord Marthen leave with his wife back to their chamber,

“Come on miss let’s go” Mary leading the way feeling uncomfortable because she senses something wrong

*Vendia Chamber*

“Come on miss lets dry your hair up”

Mary call upon her attention because she has been spacing out and not to herself ever since she arrived back at the mansion, Mary is so worried about her,

“Young miss, are you alright?” She asks but still receives no response then she spotted something swollen into Vendia right wrist she got shocked her face turn pale,

“Miss!” Vendia got surprised by her scream

“Y-yes?” Vendia startled voice she holds Vendia right wrist in a rash

“What is this?! Who did this to you miss?” Mary cry out tears flow to her cheeks as she showed Vendia swollen wrist to her,

“Uh… don’t hold it tight Mary is still hurt” Vendia confess Mary nod understand slowly put down her right wrist,

“Who did that to you miss? *sniff*” She cries feel pain for her

“Uh… Mary don’t cry… I’m fine” She reply feel a little bit uneasy

“*sobs* but you said it hurt… *sniff*” Mary respond crying in mess looking at her with puppy eyes

“Ah… yeah, it hurts…” She mumbles looking at her right wrist

“Who did that to you? I WILL KICK THEIR ASSESS AND CUT THEIR HEAD OFF” Mary confidently exaggerate crying,

‘Uh… Haha ha I should not tell you who did this to me then cause If I do you will end up in prison’

“Don’t worry Mary I’m fine okay?”

She assures her then Mary nod crying and hug her surprisingly, she got startled and surprised at first but then relax remembering that this girl in front of her is not a stranger because this girl cherishes her like a sister,

“Tell me if someone messes up with you immediately miss and I will knock them all off one by one*sniff*”

Mary declare and I laugh a little as I hug her back gently feeling warm and so loved,

*pat* *pat* *pat* *pat* *pat*- sound of patting, Vendia patting Mary back gently,

“Yes I will, so you should stop crying now Mary okay?” I demand we break our hug as she nods smiling at me I smile back and wipe her tears away,

“Thank you, Mary” I mention

“Oh miss” She hugs me crying in mess again I laugh

“Okay, okay” I hug her back too closing both of my eyes so tired and exhausted then subconsciously my tears also flow out in my eyes I raise my head so that Mary wouldn’t recognize that I silently crying too,

‘Ahh… alda… I wish you were here I want your hug so much’ I wish as I continue crying silently while I hug back Mary who also crying loudly like a little child,
