I looked at her straight with a worried face thinking through the situation carefully.

If I tell her that I’m not her daughter, that I’m Yerre who is inside her daughter’s body… No! I can’t tell the truth, they will cast me away. Even worst, they might kill me. I can’t let that happened I haven’t found Alda, so the better solution here is to pretend, survive, and don’t get caught.

I continue running my thoughts nervously.

This is all right, right? I mean I’m being selfish but this girl’s soul is already gone which means I’m the new owner of this body, I need to survive. I need to find Alda. Yes, that’s right let’s just tag along with this we can do this. Yerre, you’re Vendia… you’re Vendia.

“What is your name?” I ask,

“I am Rhean Rose Klause, your mother and you are Vendia Klause my only daughter, your father’s name is Marthen James Klause. You are the only daughter of the Marquis family” Madam Rose said as she hugged me.

I scanned the place, I didn’t see anyone other than the servants and this girl claimed to be her mother. I started trembling in fear again but I calmed myself down. It will be alright. I sighed and thought back on what happened before I got here.

[Flash Back]

(Under the seawater)

Alda and I hugged each other. She gestured, telling me to never close my eyes but I can’t take it anymore. I can’t breathe anymore.

“I am sorry…”

That is the last words I internally said before my last breath takes me.

[FLASH BACK END]

‘That is the last thing that happened before I got inside this world and into Vendia body’

I hugged myself. Chills ran all around my body.

“Vendia?” Madam Rose called, concerned as she sees me trembling in fear. I immediately think of an excuse as I calmed myself down, once again.

“I… uh… I’m hungry, Can I get something to eat uh mo-mother?” I awkwardly requested as we lock eyes, she smiles at me,

“Of course” I sighed in relief.

‘Oh good she buys my excuse’ I thought.

“Mary, hurry prepare food for your young miss to eat” She order to the maid standing beside her, I looked, scanning her up to down,

“Your…” I point at her as she smiles at me with a face full of gladness and relief. I smiled back at her.

‘She is Vendia’s trusted maid’

“Right away madam” She sprinted away leaving a thud as the door closes the door behind her.

“How are you feeling right now?”

“I… I feel exhausted”

“I see… Once the food arrives you eat, then rest okay? I’ll be with your father. We still need to finish processing the issue of our business with your father.” I nodded and smiled slightly at her. She kissed my forehead gently then left the room.

I still felt uneasy at her side, but, I will make it work. I’ll get used to this. I must survive. Alda is waiting for me somewhere.

“I need to find her, but how?” I searched my mind for any way to do so, but I couldn’t think of one.

“I don’t know how she looks…so how can I find her here?” I thought, laying back down.

‘Why did I become a villain? I’m not this kind of person, so why?’ I wondered feeling comfy and calm in my bed. I hugged the big size white pillow on my side.

Knocks banged on the door.

“Young miss?”

‘Mary’ I panicked and rashly sit up my bed.

“Yes come in”

“Young miss here’s your food” She laid the food tray down on my bed

*Shalala….the food is singing and my tummy is listening*

‘Wah…is this what they called food in heaven? so many different choices and so deliciously looking cuisines’ My tummy rumbled and groaned at the sight.

“Thank you,” I thanked her, she gasps.

“What is it?” I ask a little bit of concern,

‘Did I say something suspiciously wrong?’ I panicked,

“I uh I’m sorry young miss it’s just. It’s my first time hearing you say thank you”

‘Oh yeah, I forgot about it. Vendia never once said thank you or apologize to her servants’ sighing in relief I smile at her and relaxed.

“Is that so, but I can’t remember anything right now and because of it I might change. Do you not like hearing me saying thank you?”

“No is not like that young miss, I like it is just I’m not used to it”

“Oh don’t worry you will get used to it soon, okay?” I said and smile at her she smiles back sighing in relief.

“Do you want to join me? Come on, I can’t finish this all. It’s too many” I invited her but she showed me an uncomfortable expression,

“Uh, no, it’s fine young miss. You eat it all and get better soon” She replied I smile and just nodded so that I won’t make her feel even more uncomfortable around me,

“Em…so delicious” I exaggeratedly confess feeling happy and so relaxed because of the food in front of me.

‘Yes food helps me relaxed and happy always even in my previous life that is why for me food is life’

“Yes that is your favorite, Chef Andria especially cooked it for you”

‘Chef Andria? Oh right, the chef who cherishes Vendia like her own little sister but Vendia didn’t treat her back like she treats her. However, Chef Andria still persistently look after her as her own little sister’

“Really?” I’m surprised and felt thankful.

‘So this food is Vendia’s favorite huh? The novel didn’t say that Vendia has a favourite. Strange… hum… food’ I wonder as my eyes light up again because of the food and I start eating,

“How long have I been sleeping?” I asked while munching away.

“You’ve been sleeping for three weeks, Miss. The Madam and Lord Marthen, turned aggressive towards us and couldn’t sleep well. They were so worried and concerned about you” She confessed looking sad. I put my spoon and fork then hold onto both her hands gently,

“Don’t worry, I’m awake now and I will be fine soon, okay?” I assure her, smiling at her and she smiles back nodding at me.

‘Vendia is genuinely precious to all of them, even though inside the story she is a villain, she never mistreated her servants’

“Young Miss, if you need anything else just ring the bell beside your bed. I’ll be going now to help the others clean” Mary smiles at me.

“No, I don’t need any. I’m good, you go on ahead. Thank you for bringing me food again,” I said then she bowed leaving me alone into a wide and beautiful designed room.

“So this is what it looks like on the inside, it’s so beautiful and well designed” I mused.

‘Oh I must finish my food and rest I’m getting tired from munching Je Je’
