Hellhunters Neo - Chapter 11 The Infinite Daggers
Haru watched as the gate started to open for the army. His foot swiftly kicked the demon who was trying to attack him. The kick knocked the demon away with ease. His hand flipped a dagger as he got into a battle like position. Before he could attack a single demon the gun shot into the air shook him. His hand trembled a moment as he looked towards the sky. The flashes of light blinded him a moment as he rose his hand to block his eyes. He slowly adjusted to seeing Riku looking right at him.
Haru looked confused as Riku’s eyes seemed trained on him among the horde of demons. He blinked to see Riku was looking towards the demon army rushing in. “what was that?” he asked out loud not really expecting an answer. He turned quickly throwing a dagger between the eyes of a demon who tried to rush at Haru from behind. As the demon fell over, Haru turned to rush towards Riku and Saku to team up with them. His feet skidded as he sensed this overwhelming aura that felt like something was targeted at him. This felt like someone’s killer intent that was directed it him.
Haru jerked his head around looking for where the aura was coming from. Just as soon as it came the aura disappeared. Haru was clutching his chest as this aura was something he had never experienced. He finally caught his breath to watch the railgun Saku fired pierced through the army. Haru’s eyes followed the after math to the point of seeing the leader of the army fall from his horse.
Haru was shocked by the turn of events that he stood still among the army who had managed to break past the defenses. Never had demons seen a lord get taken out so easily but that wasn’t the worst of it. Anyone who had been in a battlefield when a demon lord is taken out knows about the onslaught after it. In Haru’s mind all he could do is curse at the fact everything was about to turn into a slaughter zone.
While Haru was lost in thought he barely pulled his mind back when he saw a demon jumping at him. Just as the demon got close a wall of chains blocked the demon causing it to smash into the wall. Haru looked up to see Ti giving him a wave to come join him. Riku and Saku seemed to be pulling back as well. Haru nodded before using his vampiric speed to rush over to Ti’s side. When he arrived he felt that aura once more. Ti Riku and Saku were looking at Haru as he stood there with a dagger in hand.
“Uh…” started Haru before Riku held up his hands. “Ti, Haru, and Saku you go ahead and rest and I…” said Riku cutting short as they saw the flare that lead their attention to the giant frost golem headed towards the North Shelter. Saku huffed as he threw his coat on the ground. Saku’s body was muscle that seemed to be woven out of steel. The agumented body of a demonite that was said to be stronger then steel. On his right arm was a large dragon tattoo that seemed like it was gripping around his arm.
Saku lifted his arm when Ti zhoa stepped out in front of him. “stop charging in head on would be pointless. your magic would just bounce off and damage everything around it.”
Saku growled at Ti before lowing his arm. When saku’s arm was down Haru saw the dragon was looking right at him. It was like it was staring right at him. The dragon looked like it was ready to attack him at any moment. This kind magic was something only granted by a dragon but it is called the guardian’s watch. a dragon that senses great dangers and it seemed focused on Haru. His skin crawled as the overwhelming hate was directed at him. Haru had never done training with saku simply told that he was too much of a high risk for anyone. The only one who actually saw saku out side of the dorms was Riku. Now that saku’s hate was turned on him he could tell why.
“sorry…” saku said looking at haru’s pale face. Haru looked a bit shocked before jerking his head.
“The tattoo hates all demons so it gives off this edge of hate don’t worry it can’t act without my command.” saku said before looking back at Ti. Ti simply nodded in agreement. Unfortunately that didn’t give Haru the comfort he was looking for. His hand was reaching into the pouch behind him when he noticed how close the golem was to the shelter.
He bit his lips as his fangs hung just over his lips. “I will take down the golem…” he said in a bit of an annoyed tone. His hand moved from behind him drawing out a small blue crystal dagger. before anyone could have a chance to stop him. Haru stabbed his heart with the dagger before giving off a large roar. His power surged so great that the ground below him cracked under the magical pressure. He lifted his hand as daggers appeared out of thin air. they floated in the air magically stalled in place. He snapped as his daggers flew down and around his feet making a cloud of blades below his feet. he began walking through the air daggers becoming his platform to walk. After a few more steps he began running. his speed was amazing as he seemed like he was flying through the air.
As he got closer daggers began exploding a few feet ahead of him as he got closer towards the golem. it turned its massive head towards him only a few feet from the shelter barrier. The golem’s head opened up to scream when daggers plunged their tips just under the ice making a metal beard on the golem. a second later it was a massive explosion surrounded the whole face of the golem. the giant golem’s face was nearly completely blow off instantly melting in the flames of the explosion. the body stood still for a moment before its face was repairing its self. after only 5 seconds the golem was back to normal. It roared out sending tiny needle like ice spikes towards Haru. The ice shower was blocked by more daggers that seemed to appear from no where. The golem now was solely focused on Haru that it turned towards him walking away from the shelter.
Haru stood firm as the golem go closer and closer til it crossed two buildings that both instantly exploded blowing the golem’s leg from under it. the golem was falling forwards as thousands of daggers rained from the sky hitting at its back. they exploded on contact shoving the golem to the ground. Haru stood over it was his hand held out a small glowing dagger. the dagger fell toward the golem’s exposed heart as it tried to heal but with the barrage it couldn’t actually heal fast enough. The dagger dug into the heart of the golem causing it to howl out instantly freezing nearly 5 blocks of buildings. The golem’s chest started forming this swirling energy over it before a black hole formed in its place. shortly after the golem’s chest and arm were gone. it was as if none of those pieces had ever existed there.
daggers flashed explosive fires all across the frozen area before Haru’s foot slipped from its footing. He fell towards the ground as the daggers that had appeared fell towards the ground. he wasted all of his energy that he had passed out. Just was he was about to hit the ground something flew through the air catching him gently. Haru’s eyes opened slightly to see…..
