- Chapter 525: The Spirit Paradise
Before Allen went to look for the Great Spirit God, he turned around to talk to Piyon who was on the Sky Ships’ stairs.
“Will you come with us, Piyon?”
“I’ll stay and do some maintenance on the ship.”
The Sky Ship had been flying for 3 days at a high speed, so Piyon wanted to make sure everything was working properly. There was plenty of food on the ship, so he would be alright.
“Alright. I’ll bring more Spirit Stones once I have them then.”
The dragonkin were still busy hunting ghosts, so Allen would get Spirit Stones from them.
(Also Merus, tell the other Gods we’ll visit them later, even if we have their Divine Compasses.)
‘Okay.’
There was a chance that other Gods had left Angels waiting for their arrival.
So Allen told Merus to tell the Heavenly King to pass on the message to the other Gods.
“Hey, Allen. Let’s go!”
Luck urged Allen to go with them into the forest, so he joined Luck, Cecile, Sophie, and Formar.
“Luck looks really motivated today.”
Sophie spoke, seeing how Luck’s eyes were twinkling with excitement.
“I just want to find my spirits already!”
Allen tried to remember the spirits Luck had to form pacts with.
“You’ll first search for an Acid Spirit, right?”
(I wonder what an Acid Spirit even looks like though?)
“Yeah. I’ll go find lots of spirits and then make the Village prosper.”
(That’s something good to say. Arbus really raised him well.)
“That’s a wonderful idea!”
“I know, eheheh.”
Sophie praised him while patting his head, while Formar watched the two who once were enemies. Allen was just thinking of the spirits Sophie and Luck had to form pacts with.
Sophie had gained a 5 Star Talent recently, and Luck a 4 Star Talent.
Both of them had the ability to manifest spirits. Sophie could form pacts with Great Spirits, while Luck could only do that with Spirits at best. Depending on their age, spirits were classified as Primitive Spirits, Young Spirits, Spirits, Great Spirits, Spirit Kings or Spirit Gods.
The more Talent Stars one had, the bigger the spirits they could form pacts with.
[The spirits Sophie can manifest]
-3 Young Spirits at once
-2 Spirits at once
-She did not form pacts with any Great Spirits
There was a reason why Sophie and Luck had not formed pacts with spirit yet.
If they did that with the spirits of the human realm, it could affect the lives of other people.
There were only a few spirits in the human realm too.
If Luck formed pacts with the spirits of Fabraze, there would be less spirits blessing the village.
So instead he wanted to form pacts with spirits elsewhere and then bring more to the village.
(There’s a lot of spirits here, not just Spirit Gods and Great Spirits Gods.)
Allen could see spirits everywhere with Kuwatoro’s [Thousand-mile Gaze].
“So the forest starts here. Hm?”
The group walked into a forest, heading to the center of the landmass.
Allen noticed someone looking at them from above the trees, a spirit that looked like a half naked young boy with pointy hair.
‘Hey, I don’t remember seeing you around here before.’
He went down and clung to Sophie’s head, just like Rosen did to her chest.
“Yes, I’m Sophie. We came from the surface. Who are you?”
Sophie talked to the spirit.
‘I’m the wind spirit Wind.’
“Ohh, nice to meet you, Wind.”
(So he really is a wind spirit.)
It seemed like most wind spirits liked to be free and mischievous.
‘Sophie, huh. Do you have anything tasty? I’m really hungry.’
He wanted something to eat.
“Why don’t you have some of this then? It’s food from the surface.”
Smiling, Sophie took out some Hukama from her magic bag.
‘Oh? What’s this… Oh, it’s tasty!!’
After just one bite he was hooked and devoured the rest of it in an instant.
“There’s a crumb on your cheek.”
She took out a handkerchief and wiped the spirit’s cheek.
(Sophie is always good at dealing with children.)
Sophie knew how to deal with Luck and spirits.
‘Thanks. Are you going to stay here forever?’
“No, I don’t think we’ll stay for very long.”
‘I see.’
He sounded a bit disappointed.
“The Spirit God here would like to see the Great Spirit God. Do you know where he is?”
‘Just go ahead and cross three mountains, he’s in the big temple.’
(Oh? He sounds like he could give us a quest eventually.)
The wind spirit gave them directions to reach their destination.
“That mountain there? That’s pretty far away. Let’s hurry with Floating Wings.”
Allen could see it with [Thousand-mile Gaze], and realized it would take them weeks to get there on foot. After thanking the spirit, they all flew with [Floating Wings] to get there faster.
Below they could see the forest and a lot of greenery.
(This place is even bigger than the Paradise of Primordial Beasts. Wait, those trees…)
The landmass continued for 1000 kilometers, and the end was far out of sight. Rosen had told him about the place before, mentioning it was bigger than the biggest continent of the surface.
There were some animals amongst the trees too, but Allen was more interested in the trees.
“Wait, Rosen. Aren’t these trees..?”
‘These are World Tree saplings. They grow just like any other tree here, hahah.’
“I see.”
Sophie had also noticed that, and asked Rosen about the trees. World Trees grew there too.
There were only two on the surface, but Allen was seeing an endless forest of them now.
(There’s no monsters either, so is it actually a paradise? Though I guess there’s ghosts.)
Thanks to [Floating Wings], they reached the large mountain just as the sun was setting.
That mountain seemed taller than Mt. Everest, being at least 10 kilometers tall.
“So the Gods of this world also live on mountains.”
(Or maybe it’s just the gods that we can reach.)
Many things in the divine realm reminded Allen of his past life.
“Huh? What do you mean?”
“Some people in my world believed mountains were gods, or at least lived on them.”
“Ohhh, the Gods of your world must have been really big.”
“I guess, maybe.”
Allen had never seen them, so he could not say if they were big or not.
“That’s still a really big mountain though. Is it only the Great Spirit God living there?”
Sophie looked around, but she could not see the Great Spirit God’s temple yet.
‘There should be a cave entrance around there. The Great Spirit God is inside.’
Rosen told Sophie that there was a cave on the mountain they would have to enter.
They got closer and saw a cave with a large gate in front, with a raccoon and a fox the size of Allen standing on two feet in front of it. They were probably spirits too.
‘Stop. This is the Great Spirit God’s temple, pon.’
The raccoon spirit stopped them as they approached.
(Wait, they look that way but they’re actually crazy strong.)

Allen realized they were incredibly strong Spirits after using [Appraiser Eyes] on them.
They looked smaller because they had changed forms, but they were as strong as First Angels.
It was hard to know if they were Spirit Kings or Spirit Gods, but it was clear that the Great Spirit God Easley had powerful servants.
‘Who are you, pon?’
“I’m Sophie, I came from Rosenheim on the surface.”
While Allen looked at their stats, the raccoon Ponzu went to Sophie and asked next to her face.
‘You came from Rosenheim, pon? Is the Spirit God Rosen with you too then, pon?’
The raccoon’s questioning continued.
(I wonder why he talks like that, pon.)
“Yes, he’s with me. We arrived at the Spirit Paradise, so we came to see the Great Spirit God Easley together.”
The rest of the group greeted the two gatekeepers.
‘Hmm, you’re humans, kon. The Great Spirit God is inside, We can’t allow someone who isn’t a spirit or an elf to pass, kon.’
The fox gatekeeper would not let Allen or Cecile pass.
‘…Wait, didn’t the Great Spirit God say we should let everyone pass, pon?’
The raccoon spirit seemed to remember something.
‘He did, kon? Let me go check just in case, kon.’
The two gatekeepers pushed the gates open, a powerful gust of wind coming out from inside.
‘…Yes, he did say that everyone should go in, pon.’
‘You may all enter to see the Great Spirit God, kon.’
The two gatekeepers seemed to get a message through that wind, and told Allen and Cecile to go in as well.
“Thank you very much.”
‘Just watch your manners around the Great Spirit God, pon.’
They thanked the gatekeepers, and they gave them that last warning.
There was a long corridor on the other side of the gate.
Even a 100 meter long monster would easily be able to go through it.
