- Chapter 553: Generation
It was the night of the third day after Allen started helping Muras and the rest to go through the dungeons.
He and Cecile had returned to Rodan Village from the divine realm.
(Alright, I’m pretty much done with the tests, so I should focus on conquering the divine realm again.)
He was sitting with his family to eat. Cecile and Ryback with his two men were also there.
“Here’s your plate, Allen.”
“Thanks, mom.”
It was his mother’s soup, which he had eaten thousands of times since coming to this world.
Taking the soup, he began eating it with a wooden spoon. The ingredients were of much better quality than before, but it was just as tasty as ever.
Theresia had always been a good wife, helping Rodan with everything, first with housework, then when he became the chief of Rodan Village she also started helping with those duties.
Though Rodan also mentioned in the dungeons that since he was still young, sometimes Theresia’s parents would give him advice on how to lead the village.
“Were those all the dungeons?”
While Allen thought of his family’s work, Muras asked him that.
“Ah, yeah.”
“Aww…that’s boring.”
She looked hurt, almost betrayed hearing that. Muras, Rodan, and Gerda, had already gained access to the S Rank Dungeon, and had undergone Talent Changes as well.
[Results of Talent Changes and current Levels]
-Muras went from Priest★ to Saint★★, Level 60
-Rodan gained Spearman★, Level 60
-Gerda gained Barbarian★, Level 60
Muras had gained a higher tier Talent, while Rodan and Gerda gained ones that fit their roles when hunting boar. That was something to be thankful about.
They had also gone to the S Rank Dungeon and reached Level 60 there.
“Once your Skill Level is high enough I’ll take you to the Updated Talent Change Dungeon.”
“Hmph hmph.”
Muras still looked displeased, and Rodan and Theresia did not offer a helping hand to Allen, simply looking a bit worried.
At first Mash had taken care of her, when Mash left, Kurena’s sister Lily took over.
Now they both had left for the Academy, Mash was a second year student with the Spearman Talent, and Lily was a first year student with the Fighter Talent.
(Mash and Lily, huh. They’re together in the Academy now.)
Now that Allen had some standing in the Five Continents Alliance, and had recognition as an S Rank Adventurer, he was privy to some internal information about the guild.
Mash and Lily were renting a house together to attend the Academy, together with some of their classmates.
Allen looked at Rodan and Theresia for a bit, and they seemed to already know what he was planning, and would not oppose it, merely looking at him and Muras with a bit of sadness.
“Do you want to go live with Mash? Lily is there too.”
He would obviously not take her in his party, but he also knew that Muras would get bored and lonely staying in Rodan Village. He had realized that during the last 3 days.
She also seemed to be more excited about seeing new stuff than being afraid of monsters, so she would likely enjoy living outside the village a lot.
“Huh? With Brother Mash? I’ll go!!”
Muras instantly agreed to it when she realized what it meant, and her parents just sighed.
Rodan already knew that would be her answer, the village was too small for her.
She would have a far better time living in a bigger city.
(Though the village has gotten pretty big too.)
Rodan showed an understanding face, but Theresia looked mostly saddened. This meant her three children would end up leaving the house.
Allen was already thinking of contacting Mash to tell him Muras would go there though.
“…You have a good family. I guess such things do happen after all.”
Ryback had been eating silently until now, when he decided to join the conversation.
“Yes, I’m really proud of my family too. You don’t have a place to go back to, Ryback?”
He had been silent until now, so Allen hesitated for a bit, but then decided to try talking with him more. It was easy to imagine that he did not have a very good start to life.
Just like Doberg, he had been born a serf.
“My family was really poor…eventually just getting food was too hard, so I ended up being left at an orphanage managed by the previous king. In a way, the previous king became my actual father.”
That seemed to be his usual response when asked about his early life, and he did not go into details.
“I see. That orphanage sounds like an important place to protect now then.”
“Yes, it is.”
(I see, that’s why he always sends his salary to an orphanage in Latash’s capital.)
Allen felt like knowing the way someone spent their money told a lot about their life.
Now he also knew why Ryback was so loyal to the royal family.
At first Allen was afraid Latash’s king could be using him as a pawn for some underhanded plan, so he had been researching him a lot, but now he knew he could trust Ryback.
He was glad to have brought Ryback with him, since he also got to know more about him.
Soon after it was night and the village’s square became empty, so Allen and Cecile snook out to continue testing his Generation Skill.
‘Cluck cluck.’
“Hmm, I knew it would do more than just laying an egg.”
(I guess the summons are programmed according to my own memories.)
Allen had already Generated multiple summons, so he had fully tested the Bird H summon.
While the Insect H and Beast H summons could quickly create an army of 100, the Bird H summon could only lay 1 egg in a day.
Thinking it could have a different use, Allen used it like a recovery item and all his stats increased by 3000.
‘Allen, are you going to continue testing today?’
‘Gyau?’
Other than Cecile, figures that looked like Kurena and Haku were standing next to him.
“Yeah. I also have to check what you two can do.”
After 3 days of testing, he had learned a lot about the Generate Skill and the Bird H summon.
[Generation Skill and Generated summons]
-Requires Spiritual Power
-Sharing, Strengthen, and Growth Skill can be used on Generated summons
-At Skill Level 1 it can Generate H Rank summons
-At Skill Level 2 it can Generate G Rank summons
-At Skill Level 3 it can Generate F Rank summons
-Skill Experience is gained by spending Spiritual Power
-Skill Experience required for Level 2 is 10000
-Skill Experience required for Level 3 is 100000
-Skill Experience required for Level 4 is 1000000
-Generated summons use Spiritual Power, and it only regenerates in the divine realm
-Bird H summon requires an Insect H and Beast H summon, 1 Spirit Stone, 1000 Spiritual Power
-Grass G summon requires an Insect G and Bird G summon, 2 Spirit Stones, 2000 Spiritual Power
-Stone F summon requires an Bird F and Grass F summon, 5 Spirit Stones, 5000 Spiritual Power
(The Spirit Stone requirement doesn’t go up by 10 each time like with Create, I guess it’s because they aren’t as easy to get as Magic Stones. The same goes for Spiritual Power, it’s all balanced perfectly. A good game makes players choose recovering Spiritual Power or Mana after all.)
Defeating a ghost gave 1 to 5 Spirit Stones. Having a tradeoff between Spiritual Power and Mana was also something games tended to do.
[Bird H summon]
-Looks like a rooster with white feathers and a red crest
-30cm tall and can’t fly
-Special Skill [Morning Alarm] wakes up everyone within a radius of 1 kilometer
-Special Skill [Morning Alarm] has no cooldown
-Awakened Skill [Golden Egg] hatches a chick with half of the summon’s stats
-The chick hatched form Awakened Skill [Golden Egg] grows up in 1 day
-Once the chick grows up, it can also use the Awakened Skill [Golden Egg]
-The Bird S grown from a chick vanishes if its parent is killed
-If the Golden Egg is consumed, all stats increase by 3000 for 1 hour
-Awakened Skill [Golden Egg] has a 1 day cooldown
(Getting only 1 egg in 1 day also introduces good balance.)
In his past life, there was a story about a chicken laying golden eggs, until the owner killed it trying to get even more eggs, but finding nothing. It was a tale about human greed.
Now Allen had to decide between obtaining more chicks, or using the golden eggs to gain stats.
During the 3 days, Generation’s Skill Level also increased to 3, giving him more summons.

-Awakened Skill [Imitation] can replicate Haku, even at 15 meters long
-Awakened Skill [Imitation] lasts for 1 month, and the cooldown is 1 day
“They can do a lot, huh.”
(I guess imitating an enemy’s Skill will be hard though. Appraiser Eyes doesn’t show Skills.)
Cecile looked at Allen’s notes over his shoulders.
The Grimoire glowed a little, making it readable even at night.
“Yeah, I guess their Skills are also different from the summons I make with Create.”
The Awakened Skills from his earlier summons would often overshadow their regular Special Skills, like Heaven’s Blessing was used all the time while Earth’s Blessing was never used.
But the Generated summons had Special Skills and Awakened Skills that were both useful.
‘Ohh!’
The summon reacted the way Kurena would, taking it from Allen’s memories.
While it was trying its best, it sounded somewhat forced.
“Hmm, it still sounds off for someone I know well. I was really hoping I could send a decoy Kyubel into the Demon King’s Army.”
‘Hummmm!’
The Stone F summon that looked like Kurena crossed its arms and nodded forcibly.
As long as the summon was silent it could work, but from stories from his past life, Allen knew the summon’s cover could easily be broken.
(I guess I can’t call it Mist.)
“Anyway, we should go back to the divine realm to try out the other summons.”
Allen had done everything he wanted in Rodan Village, so he planned on returning to the divine realm to regenerate his Spiritual Power and increase Generation’s Skill Level.
