Hell’s Fate - Volume 1 Chapter 1 Dusk
A Luminous presence gradually began taking over the mind of the pitiful child, bit by bit devouring him until nothing remained…
—
“Hey! Wake up, come on!”
Ahh….. It was just getting good as well God damnit…. This always happens ughh…
So hello there, I’m a simple and average child in terms of your normal school kid. I have your normal blackish-brown hair alongside a well-proportioned face with nothing sticking out here and there, I guess you could say I blend in with the other people very easily. I’m average ok?
But I would never end up like any other average child.
And that’s due to a very simple reason, because of this thing inside my eyes, and no, it’s not one of those so-called systems you read in novels, well at least I don’t think it is, and as for how it got into my eye…. Even I don’t understand how.
It seems like it’s a tiny, no, minuscule device that allowed me to view this tiny world of ours from another perspective, from the perspective of a spectator. And as for how long that would last or whether it would change someday I do not know.
On to less important matters, this lowly child who just woke me up from my never-ending daydream is my friend. His name is Lei Avinci and he is from an average family with average grades and average everything, although he’s still fun to talk to surprisingly.
Oh and if you were wondering what my name was, well it’s nothing special.
It’s Luca Levinski.
And as for the school, it’s called Evert Academy. A school with a navy blue and white theme with an averagely sized school building.
I was currently within my Physics lesson alongside my teacher, Alaeya Elaine or miss Elaine for short, who loved going on for hours about quantum mechanics even though that was way above our grade so let’s just ignore her, in fact she was ignored most of the time due to her faint presence even though she had a near flawless face and a silky body but for some reason it would never stick to you, weird right?
—
“Oy Luca I thought I told you to wake up already!”
Lei’s eyes seem like their about to burst into flames at this rate…..
“Okay man relax I’m up already…”
I finally responded with the deadest voice I could probably make.
“Hehehehe….. Don’t worry you’ll be hoping you were dead soon enough”
He quickly responded with a glare just as deadly and threatening.
“Hey, you two how many times have I told you to shut it in class!”
Our teacher quickly fired back at us with a stare so hot I could see her clothes melting…
Oops, let’s not get off-topic here.
And so we had to continue sitting across another hour of quantum gibberish.
Finally, the bell rang and I was able to get off this mucus-like stool of mine and bask in my freedom! Only to be shouted at again by miss Elaine…..
After getting shouted at and leaving the class straight afterward to leave the school Lei asked me the one question I wanted him to ask me just to annoy him.
“Luca, what you got next, a free period or Maths?”
“Sorry bro, this time you’re on your own, I got myself a free period”
“UGHH!!! Just let me bitch slap you at least once come on!”
“Nope bitch! Have fun!”
I quickly walked my way straight out of the academy and onto the quiet streets of the school’s neighborhood.
Our school was plopped straight in the middle of a random residential area in the middle of the City of London. London was quite crowded most of the time with polluted air and dirty streets cl.u.s.tered with litter.
With many cars loitering around the suburbs, sitting there like ancients, degrading alongside the sands of time.
To get through this mess of a city and back to the tiny flat I called home I had to first take the 73rd bus for a 10-minute journey. After that, I had to get off and walk across a long road of cracked, ice-like cement.
Alongside this aged road of mine were the many older men and women and some of the poorer branches of society. As for my flat, it was on the 3rd floor of my apartment complex named A Thousand simply because of the thousand different crimes that happened within the first year of its creation.
As I walked up these winding steps of mine I was reminded of the life I was living, of the type of life I had maintained for the past 10 years, of the life I wanted to change, but couldn’t. Man, it makes me depressed the more I think about the state that we live in…..
Ah…..
I’m back again.
I wonder what I should say this time…
That I’ve got the answers for her?
Well, that’s a lie, because I didn’t.
I don’t know when I’ll even have the chance to get the answer for her.
Either way, I had to open the door, the door to what life truly is like…
I don’t want this to continue no one would, but this is simply what the world is truly like. And I, as a spectator, don’t have the power to change that…
Unless.
Unless I get the power to change that.
“Hello Lil’Nee… Brothers back again!”
