Hell’s Fate - Volume 1 Chapter 15 Fight?
It was an opportunity which he would never get again in his life.
It was something which he was going to regret for the rest of his life and look back at in anger at his previous self for not pushing through.
But he would not know of his mistake until much further in life.

After what felt like a few seconds Neil gradually woke up and began fondling around searching for the chain once again just like before as if he was trying to continue breaking the chain, but there was nothing there for him to hold on to. He had already failed.
But even then he continued trying to cling onto some sort of hope, but reality only stepped closer and closer to him.
I gave up…
I don’t know if it was worth it or not but the pain is gone, I won’t ever have to deal with such excruciating pain again. At least I hope I don’t or else I may become fully insane at that point.
*Shiver*
Let’s not think about that ever again. What should I do now? Let’s see if I can choose a difficulty now, I already went through so much pain there is no way I wouldn’t have unlocked a few of those difficulties.

Difficulty Selection:
+Hard[Broken]
+Insane[Broken]
+Impossible[Forced Open]

Huh?
Broken? How can these difficulties be broken, does that make any sense at all?
How did they break? Did me destroying those chains cause the worlds they exist in to break or something like that? Because if so then what the hell?! But that first chain I broke may have opened up the doors to the hardest difficulty, why the hardest though…
But that’s not the most important part, the most important thing is the fact that now I don’t even have a choice anymore. I can only go Impossible or else I would just remain stuck here forever. My luck is seriously shit. I shouldn’t even be relying on luck though, I decided to change my own fate after all and relying on luck is doing the opposite of that.
If so then I should just go straight into this difficulty and beat the shit out of it to prove that there is no such thing as impossible.
But I shouldn’t walk in there with my confidence skyrocketing, I need to calm myself down for a little while so that I don’t end up dying due to my own stupidity.
He sat down for a little while and instead began thinking about his past, how they once had a family. His sister was happy for the longest time, he was happy for the longest time. Until it all changed once that bastard started this game. There is no need to feel confident, in fact there is no need for any feelings. I just need to feel absolute calm and nothing else. I felt so many things when I killed my first person, I felt even more when I was in pain. I was getting confident and talking about beating the impossible. But none of that matters. Only my revenge.
Now that he had calmed himself down he picked up the scythe that he had dropped while screaming in agony and put on the backpack he had thrown away as well.
He just stood there, and started.

He once again felt a disgusting force twist his body apart but this time he took the hit and swallowed the acute pain he felt.
The white light surrounding him slowly began disappearing as a completely new sight took his view. A refreshing sight enveloped him as he realised that he was standing in the middle of a luxurious bedroom which looked like it came straight from a king’s castle in the movies. A king sized bed sat in the middle of the room with violet frilled curtains covering the massive bed, next to it sat a luxurious violet desk with a mirror and other appliances on top of it. To the left of it large fancy window facing out towards a massive garden with a fancy pink sofa sitting directly under the window.
This scene seriously looked like it comes from a medieval fantasy setting.
After Neil arrived he took a few steps towards the window and began admiring the view out of the window and took in the magnificence of a fresh medieval garden which was full of lily and jasmine flowers. It was a view which anyone from the modern world would seriously appreciate due to the atmosphere not being full of pollution and other harmful gasses.
After staring out of the window for a few minutes he began hearing steps approach the door, without enough time to decide he simply slid under the bed and began looking towards the door to see who would come out.
Unfortunately he wore dark clothes which completely contrasted the vibrant colours of the room so the moment he moved he would instantly be spotted so he had to remain still the whole time.
Soon someone pushed open the door.
The first thing that he saw was the missing arm and leg, the person who just walked in had an arm and leg missing. But they could still walk and move their arm around properly, it was as if there was a blue arm and leg popping out where the originals were missing. Blood was constantly flowing off of his legs and building up a pool under him.
The moment this person came in they just collapsed, straight onto the carpet.
The moment he saw this Neil got out from under the bed and slowly approached the door to close it, once he had it closed he walked closer the person who had collapsed and turned their body over so that their facing wasn’t smashed onto the floor anymore. The face that he saw looked like a handsome young man but a scar running across his right cheek seemed to ruin this mans face.
“Mo-move…”
Suddenly the man opened up his mouth and began speaking in a quiet voice.
“Huh? Move?”
“Let go of me…”
The man picked up his hand moved his hand onto Neil’s body, then pushed.
Neil shot backwards and smashed straight onto the bed and his scythe flew off onto the sofa.
“What the…”
Neil felt a small amount of pain invading his body as he stood up on the bed, he was shocked due to the strength that man had even after being so heavily injured.
“Don’t get close to me or your dead…”
“What do you mean?”
Before the man could respond the blue stuff that was flowing out of his legs began consuming him bit by bit.
“Ru-run…”
Just as he spat out his last words the blue stuff quickly erupted as if it were a flame being fed a ton of oxygen. Nothing remained of him. Absolutely nothing.
Neil was simply speechless, this man didn’t even get a chance to do anything before the light engulfed him. The light that remained slowly dimmed down and began dissipating very slowly. After a minute or two only a tiny speck of it remained, but this speck didn’t seem to want to give up as it slowly began floating towards Neil. But before it could any closer it ran into a barrier which instantly destroyed this tiny speck.
It seems like a type of barrier was covering the bed he was on, if so then that man had just saved the life of Neil even though he didn’t know Neil or owe him anything. It was debt which was impossible to repay so he just decided to forget about it, there was no point worrying about a debt which he would never have to repay.
Neil slowly stepped down off of the bed and approached the scythe which he had dropped before.
If that was what he had to face in this difficulty and if that was all the information that he would be given then his choice was already made.
I can only fight, and if there is any other route I will take that route.
But for now I would just try my hardest to survive, but that’s only if I get the chance to survive in the first place.
