Help…My Wife is a Spy - Chapter 398
Boginya grinned as the prison guards helped her out of her cell and led her to a new cell next door. Inside this new, updated cell, there was a soft bed with a thick quilt, a television, a bookshelf, and a sitting toilet, as promised. She knew she was likely never leaving this prison, but living like this wasn’t too bad. It seemed, it wasn’t a bad idea to cooperate with Interpol. At least, she was safe and comfortable.
A little while after she settled into her new cell, she received a visit from Trisha again. “How are you liking the new cell?” she asked.
Boginya closed the book in her hands and smiled. “Not bad,” she commented.
Trisha smirked and sat down on a chair opposite the cell. “We’ve located Amun’s base,” she said straightforwardly as she watched for a response.
Boginya’s eyes opened wide in surprise, “That was quick! I’m impressed. How did you manage to do that?”
Trisha laughed and replied with one word, “Lotus.”
The corner of Boginya’s lips curved slightly with realization, “…the passport forger.”
“Is there anything else I should know before I send my agents in to raid the place?” Trisha checked. After all, this woman seemed quite cooperative now.
Boginya smiled and said suggestively, “I wonder what’s for dinner tonight…”
“I heard goulash is very popular on your side of the world. It would be perfect for a winter’s night…” Trisha said.
Boginya chuckled; goulash sounded good. “I bet you never discovered this, but one day before my base in Mongolia was shut down, I booked a flight for one of my scientists…” she suddenly said.
Trisha furrowed her brows. It was true, they never discovered anything about this. Who was this scientist and where did he/she go?
“Why are you telling me about this now?” Trisha asked.
Boginya walked up to the bars of her prison cell and whispered, “Because her flight was to Fez, Morocco…”
Trisha had a foreboding feeling about this. Why did she send a scientist to Morocco? Unless…
“Does that mean…you sent a scientist to share the Brain Tap technology with Amun?” she asked anxiously. Before she heard a response from Boginya, the smirk on the woman’s face already answered her question. Of course, Boginya shared the technology! Why would she keep it to herself?
Trisha knew she had to warn her BTA agents before it was too late. Who knew what Amun did with the technology. Did he already have an entire army waiting? Did Boginya know about this? Was this all a trap?

In Morocco, Sasquatch looked at Wolf and smirked. A moment ago, the man had admitted to being useless. It was true, apart from good looks, what did he have that they didn’t? “You’ll feel even more useless when Orca arrives,” the bulky man said. “At least, she knows French and can communicate with the locals.”
“Orca’s coming too?” Hummingbird asked. She was a little excited that another woman was joining them. After all, there was currently too much testosterone for her liking.
“Yes, the Captain put her on a flight last night. She should be here in the evening. As soon as she arrives, we will raid the base tonight. The Captain’s already spoken to local Interpol and organized a team to back us up. They will arrest everyone in the base while we go after Amun,” Sasquatch explained.
He then pointed to one particular spot on the map that he drew, “That’s Amun’s private quarters. He will be sleeping in there. We need to be quick and stealthy so he doesn’t escape.”
As Sasquatch looked at that one spot on the map, his heart ached a little. Yesterday morning, after Lotus’ memories were transferred to him, she briefly explained the base to help him tap into the right memories. Just like when a person was reminded of something from the past, snippets from Lotus’ past flashed in front of Sasquatch’s eyes. Apart from the location of the base and its layout, there was one particular memory that stood out clearly: the night of Lotus’ 18th birthday…
Sasquatch saw the scene that Lotus had previously described to him. He saw the look in Amun’s eyes, he smelled the burning of sandalwood in his room, and he felt the way that her heart raced in fear as the man r.a.p.ed her. Afterwards, he also saw how the man placed a knife to her hand and started slicing it with a euphoric look in his eyes. But, it wasn’t as painful as he expected. She was right, the physical pain was nothing compared to the mental trauma she had experienced.
Knowing what she had been through, he made her a firm promise before he left China: he was taking Amun down and locking him up forever.
However, just as Orca arrived that evening and they reported to Halia… Halia told them to put the plan on pause.
“We received intel that Amun has the Brain Tap technology. We’re not sure how many BTAs he’s got and their skill level. It’s too dangerous to run in blindly. We spoke to Lotus about it, but she’s been away from the base for too long to know what Amun’s been up to lately. However, she did mention that there’s a small lab in the base that was previously used to produce drugs. If Amun is undertaking any experiments, it would be in there,” Halia explained.
“So, do you want us to sneak in and check the lab?” Wolf asked excitedly.
Halia smiled, “No, I have a better idea…”
“Orca… We transferred you knowledge from one of our best IT specialists/hackers. Do you think you can hack into the computer inside that lab?” Halia asked.
Orca smirked, “If I can get close enough to intercept their WiFi, I can hack into anything.”
“Then, agents, I’ll leave this task to you. Get as close to the base as possible without being noticed and gather as much information as you can. Once we know what we’re dealing with, we will take them down.”
The agents looked at each other with confidence and replied in unison, “Yes, Captain!”
