Heretic In The Heavens - Chapter 13
[Ha ha! I’ve finally done it. Phase one has been completed. Shi Kun, wouldn’t ever believe that I managed to snatch their prophesised one before he ever recovered from his injuries!]
Seeing the kid now, he couldn’t help but shake his head. If the Shi Clan knew that he awakened his bloodline they would definitely have come immediately to retrieve him.
Such is the way of the royal devouring clan, they abandon their young to fate in the lower realms, for a single reason, retribution. Whenever a child of the Devouring Clan is born in the upper realms, they will immediately receive the retribution of the heavens, for they are the harbingers of the end times.
[This kid must not know what he is, if he actively uses his bloodline’s heretical powers they would surely cause this serious damage to this realm. And heavens help me, I’m not going to explain to Fang, that his plan went to crap because of my oversites.]
Thinking about Fang’s wrath, his head couldn’t help but sweat. That Old foggy Shi Kun wouldn’t even battle against him, and well, Shi Kun’s – Shi Kun!
[Lucky the formation on Lotus City is suppressing him now] he breathed a sigh of relief. In ancient times Lotus City ruled by the second sons of the Lotus Sect Leaders. Naturally, they would have protective formations here. Thinking about that, he almost sweat out a lake. Thinking it was possible that a Saint was skulking about the city clearly put him on edge.
[We need to get out of here now!] his panicked slightly.
In a blur he was on the stage, standing beside Kewang Tian.
[Sorry kid, this might hurt.]
He hit the Kewang Tian in the back of the head, causing him to pass out.
Grabbing the unconscious body, and slinging him over his shoulder, like one would a hunted beast.
He then looked at the disaster his plan had wrought. Sneaking in and planting the ‘Asura’s Way’ scripture in the Kewang Clan library. So that Kewang Yun would choose it and walk the demonic path. Taking out ‘Laughing Sabre’ and replacing it with the ‘Mad God’s Sabre Technique’.
Connecting the dreams of Kewang Feng and Kewang Tian. It was all a part of his plan, so he could awaken his bloodline in the quickest way possible. The majority of Devouring Beasts only manage their bloodline in their early twenties, not to mention Royals, which awaken some at the age of 50.
This situation is unprecedented and hasn’t ever happened in the history of the divine realm.
Thinking about it Shen Nong couldn’t help but smile, [Haha, a heaven-defying talent awakening at this age, all thanks to me!].
[I’ll deliver him to Fang. He’ll then be trained to become an unrivaled talent, raising the dragon flight to our former glory.]
Old Shen’s grin suddenly faded.
Although Kewang Tian had a bright future ahead of him, he would have to miss out on a lot in life. Many friendships, becoming the head of the Clan, perhaps even personal freedom He would probably be kept in a cultivation room for much of the next century.
The boy who had once dreamt of breaking out of his little hut would be trapped again. [Enough of that we must escape!] He thought, putting this nonsense to the back of his head.
Shen Nong then disappeared in a flash, coming to the gates of Lotus City. Looking back at the city he had stayed in for the past few years he couldn’t help but sigh.
Noticing a fate humming, he couldn’t help but shake a bit. [Damn! A formation is activating, the Lotus Sect better have not been alerted]. Charging out of the gate, whilst carefully carrying the boy he couldn’t help but have a sliver of fear in his heart.

After running for a while Shen Nong came to a stop near the Ursine River. A river which flowed throughout the Zin Nation, and even most of the lower continent. He carefully placed Kewang Tian down, so he could check up on him.
Feeling his forehead, he couldn’t help but frown. Kewang Tian was burning up, and his cheeks were also flushed. Shen Nong shook his head. The old man didn’t know why the kid was in this state, he had just awakened his bloodline, and should be either awake brimming with vigour, or at least in a better state than he was now.
Thinking to himself, he didn’t know what happened, [Might I have hit him a little too hard?!] Shen Nong went different shades, blue, purple, and green, almost coughing up a mouthful of blood.
[Dear Heavens don’t let it be that I harmed this kid! If something happens to him my head will be mounted on a wall somewhere!]
He was mad with panic. Unable to breathe properly.
CRACK!
Behind him, Shen Nong heard a twig break and turned around instantly.
Standing there was a middle-aged man in five coloured robes, corresponding with a lotus flower at the centre of his chest. He had long dark hair falling to his waist, and eyes that looked like a nebula. It was as if he tried to give off a look of elegance, yet instead looked rugged like a soldier that had fought many wars.
“I take it I was loud enough.” He said, in a low grizzly voice. His face was cold.
“Who are you? I’ll have you know, that I’m on official business here, on the ord”
Before he could speak, the middle-aged man appeared before him, covering his hand with his mouth.
Seeing what he did Old Shen was astounded, [Was was that] he looked at the had that was covering his mouth, and then at the middle-aged man. They were meters apart. The man had put his hand through a spatial rift.
[Damn! Why didn’t I see it before? The five-coloured lotus. But why would one of the ‘Chaos Lotus” be here! What business do they have, they should all be off is some hole somewhere, practicing, or doing whatever those maniacs do!]
“The boy, why did you take him.” The middle-aged man said, slowly removing his Palm as if he were not bothered by the existence of Shen Nong.
“You’re a member of the Chaos”-
“Yes,” The middle-aged man said in a stern voice. “Do. Not. Make me repeat myself.” He said slowly.
“Fang wanted me to take him.” Old Shen said, sweat washing his face.
[I was right, there was a Saint Realm lurking in the shadows. But why did it have to be one of them! I could ignite my bloodline to perhaps escape from a Saint, but not a member of the Chaos Lotus Shit!]
“Old Fang, he’s finally making his move against them?”
“This”
[Screw it, there are two options here, but there seems no path to return home.]
Old Shen let out a sigh and then looked at the boy who was soaked with his own sweat.
“Very well, you win Lotus Licker!” he shouted, as a resounding wave was released from his body, collapsing all the trees in the nearby area. The river to stab at the banks, as it started to frenzy. The grass around Old Shen started to catch fire.
“Raging Flame Palm” Yelled Old Shen, as he thrust his palm forward, and a flaming dragon emerged, charging towards the middle-aged man.
The middle-aged man just gave a cold harrumph in reply and opened, a spatial crack, which the fire dragon flew into.
“You act without common courtesy, I will teach you manners hear today, you overgrown lizard.” The middle-aged man said, with his brows creased.
“Maybe someday. But it will not be this day.” Old Shen pulled one of the gems, out of his robes and crushed it.
A massive fire tornado surrounded him, and roar, that shook the very heavens emanated from him.
“Are you insane, do you want this place to rip open?!” Suddenly shouted the middle-aged man furious about the situation.
ROAR!!!
Spatial cracks appeared for miles upon end, affecting as far as the eye could see.
A red dragon suddenly shot out, of the whirlpool of fire, and charged straight towards the middle-aged man. “You shall not have this prize scum!”
Bang!
The dragon swiftly flew towards into the man knocking them both through one of the many tears.
