Heretic In The Heavens - Chapter 23
“Achoo!” Kewang Tian roared in the form of a sneeze.
Currently, he was bending over rubbing his bottom. For some reason when in the middle of talking to Ming Yue she had opened a portal and kicked him through. He wasn’t sure why was it something he said?
Looking to ask her he turned round and round but couldn’t seem to find her.
He panicked. [Hadn’t we made a deal that she would become my Martial Spirit?]
Suddenly a voice appeared in his head. “I’m here dummy.” It was cold and arrogant. Obviously, it was Ming Yue. [It appears she’s having another mood swing]
“I can hear what you’re thinking idiot.”
Gulp.
Cough.
After Kewang Tian gulped and coughed for some time she couldn’t help but say, “I’ve been alive since the creation of the Spirit World, do you think I’ve never encountered an immature teenager’s thoughts before?!”
Kewang Tian’s face turned scarlet. “Err So, where are you?” he said nervously.
“I’m here!” he suddenly had a searing pain in his Dantian!
Whimpering a little, he fell to the floor. “How the hell are you living there?!”
“Don’t worry about it. It’s just some Spirit stuff, you wouldn’t understand.” She said coldly. Speaking to him like a child.
Kewang Tian couldn’t do anything, so just swallowed the insult.
“So, where are we?” he asked, trying to change the topic.
“Aren’t you the human, why am I supposed to know everything?”
“You sure are being prickly today aren’t you I guess I’ll just head to the nearest city.”
“Oh, and how are you going to find one?” Ming Yue barked at him.
“Easy, walk until I find flat land. Then try finding a road. You know Cities are usually built on flat land, so that they can be more easily designed, allow expansion, and built. The opposite goes for fortresses though! There usually built in inhospitable places to deter enemies and have defensive positioning!”
“Thanks for the lesson.” Ming Yue said sarcastically.
“Let’s head that way!” he said pointing in a random direction.
******
Kewang Tian had been walking in the same direction for three days now. For some reason, he didn’t fatigue as much as he used to, perhaps because of his bloodline awakening. Although he wasn’t hungry or thirsty, he was absolutely in pain.
When he had started his journey, he didn’t want to walk about naked. So, he had fashioned a loincloth out of leaves, which had unfortunately left him with a rash. Even worse was his feet. Walking three days without shoes is incredibly painful!
There were cuts all over them, and he was worried about them getting infected. Luckily Ming Yue had assured him that although they may bleed, due to his bloodline, unless its something incredibly rare from the Divine Realm, it would be impossible to poison him, let alone an infection. This made Kewang Tian feel at ease. The pain wouldn’t stop him either, of course, a few little-infected cuts wouldn’t get the better of him! He had his bones broken repeatedly every day for six years! If he couldn’t endure this pain, wouldn’t it have been a waste?

“Ooo, a river. I need a wash, I’m starting to stink.” Kewang Tian said.
There was a big river ahead of him. It had been days since he had washed, and he had been used to being a cleanly person since his time in the Kewang Clan.
He ran up to the river and went to dive in when suddenly he heard a shout from Ming Yue.
“No, you idiot check your surroundings!” She shouted roaring in his mind.
Then he suddenly heard a feminine scream.
“Pervert. I’ll kill you!”
The feminine person suddenly attacked him.
Suddenly Kewang Tian’s face dropped!
[What have I done to incur luck such as mine!]
Bang!
He screamed as well, as the woman launched an attack at him.
“Eurus’ Wind!” she shouted.
Smack!
Kewang Tian was thrown out of the river, and into a tree. Knocking the back of his head. His vision was fading, and he was seeing double.
“Ouch. Being beaten up by a little girl, your ancestors would be so proud!” Ming Yue said sarcastically.
The girl who was bathing in the river now approached him. She was fully clothed now. Her hair was long, down to her waist, and was the colour of summer grass, her eyes shone like sapphires. She had a small face with a cute little nose, but her lips were full and thick. If Kewang Tian wasn’t afraid of being killed by her, perhaps he would drool over her!
“Please” he managed to say, before a blast of wind went by his face, cutting through the tree he had hit.
[Poor Mr. Tree.] he thought to himself.
The girl stood above him glaring. “Terrible last words!” she then went to strike again, arching her hand towards Kewang Tian’s throat, whilst all he could do was watch.
“Wait.” An older voice sounded.
An old man came out of the tree line. He was using a walking stick but obviously didn’t need it.
“But Grandpa, he’s a pervert! He saw me nude! He deserves to die!” she yelled in succession.
In response, he gave a hearty chuckle. “Bai’er, what have I told you before. You act so rashly. Just look at the boy. His feet are cut up and infected, his lips are cracked, and he’s walking around naked with what looks like a nasty Poison Ivy burn on him.” He shook his head whilst chuckling as if remembering something.
“Do you really think such a person would peak on you? Look at him he’s shaking.”
The girl scrunched up her face, unhappy about the situation. Obviously, she thinks that the boy should be ended here.
Seeing the girl’s reaction, he couldn’t help but sigh. ‘Pride is terrible when you cannot swallow it is often your downfall.’
He then turned his head to Kewang Tian, who was currently holding the back of his head, as blood was leaking out of it.
“Hello, there little friend. Might I know your name.” he smiled.
Kewang Tian couldn’t help but give him a strange look. [The old man had his granddaughter peeked on, yet he wasn’t angry. What a Saint! The World needs more people like him!] it almost brought a tear to his eye.
“Don’t worry. I promise I won’t hurt you.” The old man extended his hand, touching the back of Kewang Tian’s head, making the wound go away.
Kewang Tian was astonished! What sorcery was this?
“Idiot kid!” Ming Yue sounded in his head.
“Have you never heard of Saintly Energy?”
Kewang Tian’s face was as always confused.
He realised that the man had asked him his name, [It would be rude not to reply.]
“Sorry to bother you, senior. My name is Kewang Tian.” He said humbly.
“Kewang Tian a good name.” he smiled.
“Can you tell me why you’re in such a state?” he asked.
Kewang Tian frowned. [Would he even believe the truth, I’d sound like a madman singing beneath the moon!]
“I’m afraid you wouldn’t believe me if I told you.” Kewang Tian itched his nose, not knowing what to say.
“Oh, and how do you know that. This world is full of all sorts of anomalies, the strangest things happen all the time now.” Said the old man, while twirling his beard.
Ming Yue interrupted their conversation. “Tell him it has to do with Spirits!”
[What, why would I do that?] Kewang Tian was confused.
“His cultivation is at Immortal Boundary, he’s at the Peak Heavenly Way! He must be from a very powerful force if you tell them you’re a Spirit Walker he might try to recruit you!”
[Wait, how did someone in the lower realm get to Peak Heavenly Way?!]
“I don’t know, what I do know though, is that for some reason he has been suppressing his cultivation to peak Heaven Realm!”
Kewang Tian was astonished, this man was not simple at all!
“May I ask senior’s name first?”
“Oh, how rude of me. Making you give your name over, but me not reciprocating. No wonder my Granddaughter has such bad manners, sticking with me!” he smiled and laughed.
The girl scowled at him.
“This is my granddaughter Lie Bai, and I am Lie Qu Shin, and we’re from the Abyssal School.”
Continuity! The Abyssal Academy is now Abyssal School, I think it sounds better.
And yes Mr. Tree was phallic imagery =D
