Heretic In The Heavens - Chapter 27
Kewang Tian’s feet had been completely healed in the time for the Abyssal School entry tests, Ming Yue had told him several times that although his feet were badly wounded, they would heal in time! He could even put them into a sewer, and he would be fine!
The idea disgusted Kewang Tian, yet none the less he had found it quite fascinating, and in fact, if he were not afraid others would look down on him he would have probably dived head first to test the theory!
Currently, Lie Qu Shin was walking him down a wide street, made of the green stone. All the buildings around here were teeming with vibrancy and life, merchants haggling, the sounds of blacksmith’s hammers and alchemic students pushing their master’s pills on confused cultivators.
The people littering the street came from all over. Usually, it would be the citizens of Greenstone and merchant caravans, but today all these people had come for one thing the Test!
Tens of thousands of people are visiting the City, some come by themselves, others with family members, and a select few come with huge envoys. This is because if they got in and were in the small percentage that was at the top of the Abyssal School, it would support the faction of their choosing. This caused many Emperors in lower and even some in the middle continent to be incredibly wary, as they all knew the tales of the Zin dynasty and how it rose to power!
The effect of this is that if a cultivator was accepted into the School, it would mean that their local ruler or even the ruler of their country would look after their family and raise their rank. Two hundred years ago there was a talented student of an unknown name, he was from a small farmstead, in the middle of nowhere, living a peaceful life and not interfering in the cruel matters of the world.
One day a Duke came across their land, and seized it for himself, he stole the boy’s mother, and sisters, after killing his father. Unbeknown to the duke though, this boy would have a Divine Ranked Spirit The Rage God’s Sword! The moment the Abyssal School found out he had such talent, he was immediately inducted no questions asked! Then a few weeks later a sudden change happened, a certain Duke and all his heir’s over the age of 2 were killed, and the children’s mothers as well! The remaining wives found themselves engaged to an 11-year-old Duke! This is what the reputation of Abyssal School is respect and domination!
Kewang Tian and Lie Qu Shen came to a sudden stop outside of a large building, “We will take the back entrance.” The old man smiled gesturing for Kewang Tian to follow.
“When we get in there I will have to be off, as I am one of the examiners residing over the tests.” Lie Qu Shin said proudly.
“Therefore, I’ve arranged for my granddaughter to look after you in the meantime.” He said, thinking he took a huge burden off Kewang Tian’s shoulders.
Kewang Tian couldn’t help but gulp. That girl had already tried to kill him once, why was it like this?
“Thank you for arranging this Senior.” He said humbly, yet with just a tad of terror within him!
Lie Qu Shin could see the fear in his eyes and could only chuckle to himself. ‘The boy worries too much’. Was written all over his face.

Kewang Tian approached the front section of the crowd where Lie Bai was. He walked slowly, with his head facing the floor, so not engage in conversation.
“Friend, why are you so glum? This is perhaps the greatest day of our lives!” A boy with spiky blue hair approached him, full of smiles.
“Oh Err just a bit nervous I guess.” Kewang Tian’s words fumbled about in his mouth. Unable to speak straight.
The blue-haired boy couldn’t help but laugh.
He then pointed to a girl a bit further away. “I guess all the killing intent is radiating from her?” he couldn’t help but burst out laughing!
“You must be Kewang Tian, there have been rumors circulating about a certain place, and that you caught Lie Bai in her birthday suit!” he couldn’t stop laughing, looking like he might wet himself at any moment.
Kewang Tian couldn’t help but be reminded of that damn Kewang Jin when he looked at him, handsome and taking nothing seriously.
“May I know your name?” Kewang Tian asked curiously.
“The name is Shi Hui. Pleased to meet you.” He did a slight bow. With glittering blue eyes, with flecks of purple in them.
“Nice name, do you live up to it?” Kewang Tian asked him.
“I do not proclaim to be worthy of my name, but I would like to believe that I’m a cut above the rest when it comes to matters of the mind. What about you? You have a great name to live up to.” He grinned, with his pearly white teeth glistening.
Kewang Tian was about to ask what he meant, when an old man came forwards, unto the podium. It was the principal of Abyssal School Kuo Li!
“This old man was the first and only headmaster of the Abyssal School and had rumored to be alive for thousands of years!” Shi Hui whispered in his ear.
“If you would be silent.” The old man whispered.
Even though it was just a whisper, there wasn’t even a peep in the room, it had fallen completely silent.
Sorry, fell asleep at chair whilst writing, a riveting excuse I know. Woke up looking at what I had written, deleted the majority of it, it was terrible. Chock a block full of continuity errors, and it didn’t read well.
For all you guys wondering about the historical characters, that I mention – heed my words – they will perhaps be in the later point of the story!
