Heretic In The Heavens - Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Namesakes
Chapter 4: Namesakes
Hearing this Ji Peng went into panic mode. 100 years of cultivation was a long time, especially in the Demonic Way Sect!
If he fell behind his senior brothers, he would be left in the dust, and no longer have a place as one of the core disciples in the sect!
“WAIT!” Ji Peng suddenly shouted.
“Hmm.” The Sect Master looked at him, with a raised eyebrow, wondering what brought about his defiance. “Speak now, or forever hold your peace in the grave.”
Hearing this Ji Peng almost vomited blood.
“Great one.” Ji Peng tried to flatter her. “There’s one there with our our”
“Our what!?” The sect master impatiently shouted.
“Our Namesake.” As the words left his lips the room went visibly cold.
The ancient one’s first was clasped so tight on the throne of bones that it began to vibrate; a deadly pressure came down upon everything in the room.
BANG!
All the rooms bones shattered.
The throne which the ancient one was sitting had crumbled into dust. “Ah! Damn! Damn! Heavens Damn it!” the old decrepit being was livid.
“Do you know why we can’t go to Lotus City? It’s because of it’s namesake! The Lord Lotus. Do you know who Lord Lotus is?” The Sect Master ruthlessly questioned.
“Who is Lo..”
“Lord Lotus, he’s a dangerous man. He’s the ex-city lord. And junior patriarch of the Lotus Sect. Do you know what kind of existence the Lotus Sect is in the divine realm? It’s a place equivalent to our main branch.” After saying this a look of longing and remorse glinted in the ancient one’s eyes.
‘GUP’ sounded loudly from Ji Peng’s throat.
“The only person to dare set foot in Lotus City, in the past 5000 years was a being of unobtainable power.” The Sect Leader Snorted.
Hearing this Ji Peng looked up with a curiosity.
“Oh, you’re wondering who he was? Well, even I’m not sure of that, all I know is that when he arrived there, a great commotion took place outside Lotus City, where even the Supreme Ancestor, of the Lotus Sect, was called out.”
As these words reached his ears, he was astonished. What kind of existence was that! The Supreme Ancestors of the Divine Realm were rumoured to be the strongest under the heavens!
“Wh… what happened then?” Ji Peng couldn’t resist asking.
The old ancestor chuckled. “The Supreme Ancestor and the mysterious man battled it out, tooth-and-nail.” There was a completely satisfied grin on the old one’s face. “The Supreme Ancestor was crippled and taken. She died a while after.”
A cold sweat was leaking out of Ji Peng. “What kind of existence could just get away with such a crime?”
Looking at him the Ancient laughed. “I can tell by the look on your face, you’re wondering which kind of person could do such a thing. Well, there’s a rumour about this. It was said that he transformed into, a beast and flew off after their business was done.”
“Sect Master, he transformed into a beast, what kind could be so powerful. A Dragon, Vermilion bird, A Tiger of the Western Wind?” Ji Peng frantically questioned.
“Nothing so fanciful, I assure you. It was a heavenly devouring beast!”
Ji Peng’s face went as pale as snow. “I heard that the devouring beasts are harbingers of the end times. And they aim to devour all Qi in the Universe.” He started to shiver.
“Enough.” Said the Ancestor sharply. “I will get into contact with the main sect and ask their advice in this matter. We will need to abduct them if what you say is true. And we’ll have to it swiftly, so we’ll need their backup. You have earnt a reward. I’ll grant you an earth ranked cultivation technique.”
Hearing this Ji Peng’s face lit up, an earth ranked skill is incredibly rear. It could possibly help him to break through. The only problem was that it takes a long time to learn. Yet, he didn’t pay any of this to mind, and gratefully accepted, with a gleaming face.
The old Sect Master threw a scroll at him then waved him off.
As he left the room there was a long feminine sigh. “How long has it been, I just want to go home, and stop keeping up this facade, and perhaps this will be my opportunity to do so.” The ancestor’s fist clenched with a great smile. Waving the old decrepit hand, causing a portal, which gleamed with orange and purple, to open, so that she could walk through.
As the old one walked through, there was a confident and bold voice, “so you have returned my love, you haven’t paid penance yet. Why have you come?”
He then turned into a trace of light, appearing before the old one. He touched the wrinkled forehead, causing the wrinkled skin to fall off, and a beautiful face to appear. It was a woman, with scarlet hair, with a streak of white in. She had a pretty face, which had high cheekbones, with dimples, as she smiled, showing off her pretty pink lips.
The middle-aged man then hugged, and slowly went to kiss her. This went on for a moment, she then buried her head in his chest, as tears strolled down her eyes.
She then let out a soft and gentle voice, “I believe that I should be able to return soon my love.” Her brown eyes looked sparkled like those of a puppy and hugged the man even tighter.
[As you can tell I need to work on my romance scenes…]
