Hero System! Transported to Another World - Chapter 143
Alex nodded and walked to the kitchen, ‘I really want to see what has changed since I’ve gone away. I’m sure the others like Imani have also gotten stronger now… It can’t be that only Midnight got stronger.’ Alex looked around and saw a plate, filled with food. There were other food items in boxes as well around the counter.
Seeing the food, Alex smiled, “I’m happy that I met Hana at first. I don’t know what would have happened to me if It was someone else.” Alex ate food and got ready. He walked out of the door and nodded, “Alright, I guess It’s time to meet everyone.” He didn’t really feel that nostalgic when looking at the rooms or when meeting Midnight. For Alex, it was only a few days but seeing things change so much, Alex wanted to see what else was different.
The doors to the reception elevator opened. Alex slowly walked outside and looked around. ‘Everything is the same.’ He smiled.
‘Kid, It’s a hotel. They won’t renovate it in like a few month’s time. I think you’re expecting everything to change.’ Hades laughed.
Alex scratched his head and laughed. It was true, things wouldn’t change that drastically. He walked to the reception to see if Rachel was there but it was someone else. Slightly disappointed, Alex went to the seats and waited for Midnight.
After some time, Midnight walked out of the elevator and looked at Alex. She smiled and spoke, “I can see the disappointment on your face. Don’t worry, you’ll see your little friend in a while.” She said as she spoke to the receptionist.
Midnight then walked to the elevator, “Well, Come on. We’ll be having a little battle today. I think Hana has already spoken with Ryan and they want to see how much you’ve gotten stronger so we’ll be heading to the arena. Firstly, We will have to check your ability again. Then we can have a battle for fun.” She smiled at Alex.
Alex nodded as he followed midnight. After the two entered the training facility, Midnight took Alex into the training room to face the bot. ‘It felt like just a week ago, I had to take on this bot. I’ll have to take it on again.’ Alex smiled.
He was ready for another battle. Without realizing it, Alex seemed to be enjoying fighting even more now. He entered the room and spoke, “Can I use any weapon?” Alex put his hands in his coat.
Midnight shrugged and spoke, “Well, You can do what you want for the bot battle. I was about to yell at you for wearing a suit and pants for this battle but it kind of looks good on you. I guess you had a weapon hiding within that suit of yours.” She laughed as the doors closed behind Alex.
Alex nodded and walked further into the room, he was confident. ‘Kid, I’d recommend not using the guns here. Why don’t we try hand to hand combat? It’s the most useful for situations where you cannot see the opponent properly.’ Hades recommended.
It was true, the entire room was very dark and it was difficult to see. Alex didn’t use his guns. He would do as Hades advised, just hand to hand combat.
A small crack sound alerted Alex as he walked through the room. He turned towards its directions, his guards up. Alex was ready for all most any form of attack.
*bang*
However, the bot seemed to have an upper hand here. Out of nowhere, the bot jumped from the back and punched Alex on his back. Alex grunted and jumped forward. ‘That was quick… As quick as that boss guy we saw in the underground warehouse.’ Alex thought as he looked around for the bot.
Alex took a deep breath and jumped to the floor. He heard a small noise from his back again and decided to jump to the floor to dodge an attack from the back. ‘Good, now punch straight upwards. Take it down when you have the perfect chance!’ Hades spoke.
Alex nodded and pushed himself upwards to attack the bot that had just missed him. *boom*
The bot combusted, however, Alex wasn’t thrilled to take down this bot. There wasn’t one bot here. For the split second that the bot had exploded, Alex could see a few more in the corner of the room. ‘What the hell.’ Alex was visually shocked when he saw the bots.
‘HAHAHA! This is more like it. Lad, We’ll be taking them all down. Hand-to-hand combat has its own advantage but for something like this, I’d recommend using that move again. Forget my previous words, They want to check your ability, let them see one of my own hand-created abilities!’ Hades seemed to be enjoying himself when he saw the huge number of bots in the room.
Alex also couldn’t help but smile at the odds. The bots were weak but large in numbers. It seemed to be the perfect place to try that move again. Alex pulled out his two guns and shot towards a corner. The flash from the gun makes the bots visible for a split second. Alex smiled when he saw the positions of the bots. Things were lining up.
Alex had missed his shot but he was able to see that the bots were slowly circling around him and getting closer that way.
‘Kid, jump towards one and destroy it. Once you do that, they will pounce on you.’ Hades explained.
Alex nodded and shot the gun once again, Once he saw the location of a bot, He jumped towards it and shot its head off. Once Alex destroyed the bot, he heard some rattling. ‘Now!’ Hades roared once more.
It was Alex’s time to show off. He jumped up into the air and let Hades use the ability. Alex felt his body being pulled. He let it happen as his entire body seemed to be spinning in the air. ‘SHOOT!’ Hades screamed.
Alex smiled and kept on shooting as he spun in the air. He had his eyes closed but Alex could hear the bullets rip the bots to shreds.
