He’s a beast, I’m his beauty - Chapter 9
**Stormy POV**
Where the fuck did he go? Are you serious right now? Did he really get me right there and then fucking left? FUUUUCCCKKKK. I hear my phone ringing and I toss the bed around trying to find it, found it! A text and looky looky it’s from Danny. ‘Sorry babe, don’t wanna cross that line just yet. When I do I want to be able to enjoy it. I’ll be here to pick you up tomorrow around 9 AM.’ That son-of-a-bitch he’s lucky he’s cute. After about an hour or two I texted Kelly to see what she was up to because I was deathly bored lying here in bed thinking about what happened earlier.
“Hey, Kels, What are you up to?”
“Currently eating pizza, you?”
“Already en route and brining the pizza with me.”
“KK”
I jump up and get dressed in my pajamas and pull out the wine bottle I’ve been storing in my fridge. After 20 minutes she’s walking in two pizzas in tow and Kendra following the cheese trail.
“So, Kendra told me about your beau. I heard about his family from my beau, just be careful ok?” Kelly raising one eyebrow and while sipping her wine.
“Kels, He was so fine. So he might be a little dangerous. That just makes him sexier.” Kendra says as she walks to the bathroom.
“He seems nice enough but out of curiosity what did you hear?” I ask Kelly since she mentioned it, it must be pretty bad.
“I just hear that his family is involved in a lot of “big boss” shit and most people dealing with them are the wrong kinds. BE CAREFUL!!” She says and then begins devouring her pizza.
“I promise to be careful, I have a date with him tomorrow. I think I might actually try this time.” I smiled at her and sipped my wine. I have to admit she has me freaked the fuck out.
I woke up to the sun warming my face, I sat up to find myself still in the living room on the couch. Kendra on the loveseat and Kels sprawled out on the floor. The TV still playing episodes of Bobs’ Burgers. Pizza boxes and empty bottles of wine scattered across the room. What a mess! I guess I’ll clean it up. I start picking up pillows and trash and moving them to their respected corners when I hear a knock on the door. I walk over and peek out of the peephole and see him leaned against the door frame waiting for me to answer. I pop the lock on the door and walk away continuing my cleaning. He doesn’t wait for the invitation and walks in not saying a word he begins picking the trash up and taking it to the kitchen. I walk into the kitchen and put on a pot of coffee because I honestly need it. I’m leaning against the counter waiting for the coffee to complete it’s creation when I’m twirled around to face him. I’m pulled into a hug that is warm and cozy like a warm blanket on a winter morning. My head rests against his chest where I can hear his heart beating, the sound drumming through his chest is so soothing it’s putting me back to sleep. He kisses my forehead and tells me the coffee is ready, with that he lets me go and sits on the other side of the counter on the stool. “So, Good Morning. Still mad at me?” He asks as if he didn’t already know the answer. “What if I did that to you? Got you right there and then left? Would you still be mad?” I said whispering because I didn’t want to wake those two. “I’d be pissed too,” Kendra says laughing because she was listening this entire time. “Well, well, well. This must be the infamous Danny.” She said as she sat up stretching, throwing her pillow at Kelly. “Yep, I’m Danny Nice to Meet you?” He said looking back at me with a what in the world did I walk into look on his face. “What the fuck Kendr…” Kelly shouted before realizing Danny was in the room. “Oh shit, Danny DiMarco.” She said nearly choking on her spit. “Good morning Kelly.” He said before completely turning away and looking back at me. “Okkkk, what was that?” Kendra said before I could get the words out of my mouth. “Nothing,” they both said in unison. I looked at Danny and raised my eyebrow, something is going on and I want to know. I told him to come with me to help me get dressed for our date. I sat him on the bed and ran into the bathroom to jump in the shower, decided on the cold shower to jolt me awake because a warm shower would have me climbing in the bed and going back to sleep. I climbed out of the shower and had just begun to brush my teeth when I feel warm and strong hands snaking around my waist. I feel light kisses brushing my ear lobes and then someone whispering in my ear, “You are one of the 7 wonders of the world. It’s wonder why you’ve been single for so long. No hurry up, I want to show you off.” He walks back into my room when Kendra storms into the bathroom and shuts the door connecting to my room. “They fucked” she whispers. “Who fucked?” I ask trying to figure out what the hell is going on. “They meaning Danny and Kelly fucked, 2 years ago. He never called her back” she whispers and then begins laughing hysterically. “Why is that funny?” I ask because now I’m fucking confused. “Because clearly, I’ve been right all these years, her stanky pussy was rejected but here he is the same guy the ditched her is now swooning over you.” she blurts out amidst her laughter. “I feel bad, had I known I would have never…” she cuts me off before I can finish my statement, “Don’t say that shit. Look whatever happened between them is between them. He clearly didn’t like her and he’s been here pretty much every day since he’s met you. Do not let her interrupt your happiness with her bullshit. Okay?” Kendra says with that stern look on her face. I shrug my shoulders and continue getting ready. I go back into the room and he’s sitting on the edge of the bed waiting for me. As I am looking for a shirt to put on I nonchalantly say “So you know Kelly?”
“Mhm”
“How?”
“We hooked up a while back, things got a little weird.”
“Weird? Like stalker vibes or something?”
“A little something like that.
“Is that why she told me to stay away from you? She said your family is dangerous.”
“She’s right. My family, their dealings things can get dangerous but I doubt that’s why she said it.”
“Ok…. We’ll talk more over breakfast?”
“Ok.” I find him running his hands through his hair as if he’s worried about something, at least he didn’t lie to me. The drive to the diner was quiet and ominous as if there was something he needed to say.
