Hessian Does A Thing - Volume 1 Chapter 23 More Fillers
Hessian POV
Gilgamesh as a good guy. Seeing it in the game and in life are two different things. I still can’t believe what I’m seeing as I watch him interact with his people. When he played with the kids, I got Illya flashbacks.
“Did he just use Sha Naqba Imuru to cheat against kids?” I’m pretty sure he did
“What are you dawdling around for? Let us proceed!” the King declared
“By the way shouldn’t we be getting a carriage?” Mash asked as I’ve noticed that we passed the stables with donkeys.
“What are you talking about? Obviously it is you that will be providing transportation.”
“Huh?”
“I have heard of your last excursion, of how you used a machine to travel. It is only natural that we use that to spare us the trouble!” he declared
This man definitely just wants a vacation
Mash POV
I was surprised when King Gilgamesh appeared on our doorstep this morning. I was even more surprised when he said he would join us for the journey. Isn’t he shirking his duties as a king though? I can’t help but feel pity for Siduri-san.
“Alright, give me a second.” Senpai said as he stood for a moment in thought
King Gilgamesh wanted him to provide transportation for us. I remember when I first found out that Senpai was something as amazing as a true magician! Although, I didn’t receive much time to process it since he was always doing something. I was afraid of being left behind by him back then.
“Feast your eyes on this hovercraft!!!” I turned to look at the floating platform-like vehicle. Senpai really is amazing.
“Hoh, this reminds me of Vimana. A bit shabby in comparison though.” King Gilgamesh commented from the side as he inspected it
“It’s more of a matter of taste really! You just don’t understand the beauty of such a futuristic design!”
“I think it looks cool Senpai.” I give him an honest smile to console him. I’ve noticed he has a sense of vanity whenever he wants to show off.
“Sniff… Mash, you’re the only one who understands me!” Ah, he’s hugging me! Should I hug him back? He’s always kind of cute when he acts this way.
“Enough dawdling, let us depart!”
Ah, that’s right! We shouldn’t waste time or else Siduri-san might die of stress.
The ride was incredibly smooth, it was much better than when we drove the humvee in the jungle.
“While were here, why don’t you two regale me with your tales of adventure?”
“You really are just bored aren’t you?”
Tales of our adventure? I guess I could start with how I first met Senpai.
“When I first met Senpai, he was fondling me in my sleep.”
“Oi Mash, I think that’s a bit harsh don’t you think? It’s like your saying I molested you.” Senpai gave me a blank look
“But you did molest me Senpai” I return the blank gaze
“No, go on. This sounds like an interesting story” King Gilgamesh urged with a smile
“Eventually when I realized he was molesting me, I panicked and slapped him. If I remember correctly his words as he flew through the air were ‘I DESERVED THAT!’.”
“Kuahahahaha, a truly amusing beginning to your journey. Go on, I’m all ears.”
I went on to give my account of our adventures through all the singularities. Every time Senpai did something insane and each time he s.e.x.u.a.lly harrassed a servant. I remembered them vividly like they were yesterday.
By the end of it, Senpai seemed to distance himself towards the other side of the platform as the King laughed for most of the journey.
“Senpai, what are you doing on the water?” The demi-servant asked as she watched the young magician walk on the surface of the sea.
“Just making preparations, nothing to worry about.” Hessian said as he continued to place things on the surface of the water.
“Preparations for what though?”
“Don’t worry about it” He waved his hands as he got behind the Shield Servant
“Just make sure to protect me”
“Protect you from wha-”
“Large energy signature detected closing in from the sea!” Doctor Roman’s voice cut in
“Here he comes. Mash get ready” the young magician said as he took out a large book.
“Understood Master!”
The figure in the distance came in at impressive speeds as it crashed onto the sandy shores.
“You guys really don’t have any self preservation huh?” From within the dust was the familiar figure of Enkidu(Kingu) “To come out this far by yourselves, I can’t help but believe you have a death wish.”
“HehEHAHAHAHA! IT’S OVER KINGU! FOR YOU HAVE ACTIVATED MY TRAP CARD!!!” Hessian yelled as sea behind the chains of heaven rose
“What!?” Kingu said as he turned to look at the anomaly
Ontop of the Sea, a large magical barrier was revealed. The barrier was large enough to encompass miles of land.
“You thought, you caught us off guard so we can’t escape!? Incorrect! It’s you who can’t escape!” The young magician spread out hundreds of pages, morphing into offensive spells as he hid behind the demi-servant.
“This changes nothing, I’ll still eliminate you here!” countless portals manifested in conjunction to counter the myriad paper spells.
“I can do this all day! I’ve got the energy for it! What about you!?” Hessian taunted from behind his servant
“So can I, however… How long can that shield girl last?” Kingu retorted as even more chains shot out towards the defending demi-servant.
Hessian was currently powered by infinite mana while Kingu was powered by the holy grail. The deciding factor between the two would be how long Mash could hold her shield against the endless onslaught of piercing chains.
Or atleast that would have been the case if the young magician didn’t make a terrible mistake.
“What!?” Hessian turned his gaze down as he found chains piercing through his legs. “BULL SHIT!”
Portals were created directly underneath his feet so he didn’t notice.
“Master!” The young magician was subsequently dragged through the beach as his focus was interrupted causing the barrier to diminish.
Then before the young magician could be dragged to his death, a golden halberd flew through the air and severed the chains.
“Well, I see you lot started without me.”
“King Gilgamesh!”
“Where the hell were you!?” Hessian cried out indignantly as the chains disappeared leaving him with open wounds on his legs.
“You…you are… Gilgamesh!” Kingu seemed to be going through internal struggles as he processed his existence
“Of course I am, who else could I be?”
“Mash, help me out here before I bleed out.” Hessian really didn’t feel like having his physical body die so he had his servant drag him away from the reunion.
Instead of focusing on his injuries, he was more concerned with watching the following battle for his own magecraft. Every memory is important to him, especially combat related memories. The battle between the two was an incredible display of power and quick wits. In the end Kingu failed to kill Gilgamesh and they returned to Uruk.
