Hessian Does A Thing - Volume 1 Chapter 28 Throwback
Hessian POV
The second true magic, The Kaleidoscope. It’s domain is the operation of parallel worlds. Which basically means that you are connected to those worlds in some form. It does not have to be a physical connection, merely an awareness of existence. However, moving between those dimensions is not all that it can do. It’s possible to siphon infinite energy from other worlds, move through different points of time and form a connection with your alternates.
Alternates don’t necessarily have to have the Kaleidoscope, it can be a one way connection. When I first came to my new life, I had thought my existence to be a complete anomaly to the multiverse. However with enough time, I had found that was not the case. My existence had already been processed through it, like a drop of blood on a napkin riddled with other drops. It spread and connected with other splotches of blood like a nervous system.
“Hola! Welcome to my temple of sun!” I hear the mesoamerican goddess say as I stop my tracks beneath the stairs. “Mucho Mucho! It was worth waiting for you to come!” she grinned
“So that chunk of stone behind you is the source of your power” I comment as I record the Aztec calendar to memory.
“Oh, so you noticed!” her smile didn’t budge “That’s fine, I’ll accept any and all challenges!” she said as she started walking down the steps.
“Humans are always so fun to mess with in all aspects!”
“I can relate with that” I reply
“Hessian, If you destroy the relic behind her then victory is ours.” Doctor Roman informed ” That is the Sun Stone, also known as the Aztec Calendar. You must destroy it!”
I shake my head at that “No”
“No?”
“Senpai, if we don’t destroy it. Then how are we going to win?” I hear mash ask
“Oi, are you giving up already!?” Ishtar asked
The sun goddess stopped halfway down to look at me. “No?” her grin was gone “Don’t you want to win?” she asks confused
“No, that’s too short sighted.” I say as I take out a page with a magic circle inscribed onto it “You aren’t an inherently evil deity. Which means I have to get you to help us.”
“Oh! and how will you do that? You remember I am still one of the three goddesses, yes?” Her smile returned and she seemed curious.
“Simple, I’ll just give you what you want”
“What she wants? Doesn’t she just want to fight?!”
“Senpai, I don’t think she can be reasoned with.”
“My eyes have seen much. Not just this world, but many others.” I speak as I begin to place the page on the ground “So I know your type. You do not desire victory, or just a simple battle.”
No, what she wants is a head on battle of the soul. A battle where both fighters can express themselves through the thrills of combat. “I personally am not capable of giving you what you desire.” I admit
“However…” I say as magical energy erupts from my soul ” I am a true magician of the first, second and third true magic” The page on the ground disappeared as an expanding summoning circle took it’s place “If i can’t do it, then I’ll just bring someone who can!”
A regular servant would not be able to match against the raw strength of a divine spirit and survive. The closest I can think of would be Heracles, but berserkers would not fulfill the conditions unless they were sane in the battle.
The wind kicked up nearly forcing everyone back as a figure began to rise from the circle. He wore a mexican attire with a guitar strapped to his chest. His hair underneath the comically large sombrero
and obviously fake mustache was a deep crimson. When he opened his silver eyes, the world seemed to grow brighter.
The figure was silent for a moment as everyone stared at his still form. Then without prior warning, he took out another instrument and played it with his guitar as if he was trying to emulate a mariachi band by himself. Everyone simply watched as the crimsonette continued to play badly while the sun goddess seemed to happily smile at the song.
“GREETINGS! I AM JAUN PELOOO!!!!” he yelled out loudly then pointed to the sun goddess “AND I’M HERE TO WRECK YOUR SHIT!!” he declared loudly
“AND I’M HERE TO WRECK YOUR SHIT!!”
The group besides Hessian was dumbfounded by the appearance of the foreigner that came through the summoning circle.
“Senpai, did you make a mistake?” Mash questioned
“Hey Hessian, why is he wearing that ridiculous outfit?” Ishtar seemed to not understand his fashion sense
“Nyahaha, he looks like a fun guy!” Jaguarman laughed
The crimsonette then proceeded to ignore the Aztec Goddess as he turned to walk towards the young magician. The Silver-eyed Crimsonette looked closely at his summoner for a moment until he extended his hand. “Shiro Aversis Gremory, at your service” he grinned
The young magician reciprocated the gesture “Hessian Aversis Von Schweinorg. It’s a pleasure”
The two seemed to share a moment of understanding. “Well anyway, could you kick her ass? I’m not strong enough to wrestle with a god” Hessian admitted
“No problem” Shiro gave a thumbs up as he stepped towards Quetzalcoatl. “Alright you! I wrestled an ice dragon and won! Which means you are in for a world of hurt!” he spoke like one of those bad acting wrestlers as he threw off his disguise/instruments and showed off his shirtless pecs.
“Waaooww! I like you!” The goddess said as she threw away her spiked bludgeon “You look very nice, yes!” the two got into a battle stance
“WELL FOLKS WE GOT OURSELVES A REAL FIGHT TONIGHT!” the young magician spoke through a mic as he seemed to forget that it was daytime as a table appeared mid-air.
“IN THE LEFT CORNER, WE HAVE THE BEAUTIFUL, THE S.E.XY, THE ABSOLUTE AZTEC GODDESS OF FITNESS! QUETZALCOATLLLLLLL!!!!” the sounds of cheers from a random audience of kobolds could be seen from the jungle.
“AND IN THE RIGHT CORNER, WE HAVE THE BADDASS, THE CRACK-FIC PROTAGONIST, THE ABSOLUTE MADLAD HIMSELF! SHIROOOOOO!!!” a random audience in a newly created seating area filled with other anime characters appeared out of nowhere to cheer for the crimsonette.
“This is obviously going to be an epic fight and to join me tonight on the commentators table is a Goddess of Venus and Mesopotamian lore… ISHTARRR!!” he presented her as she was found seated next to him
“Pleasure to be here I guess?” She said as she held her own mic
“And also the newly recruited Jaguarman, but that’s not important.”
“HEY I’M IMPORTANT!” the taiga servant cried out indignantly
“NOW LET’S GET THIS BATTLE STARTED! OUR REFEREE MASHU KYRELIGHT WILL TAKE IT FROM HERE!” he gestured to the demi-servant who seemed to be wearing official referee clothes now
Mash walked out to the middle of the newly erected ring and raised a sign that said ‘Round 1’.
“Round one… START!”
Then the two fighters broke the sound barrier as they rushed towards the center of the ring.
It was a fight to be remembered for the ages.
10 HOURS LATER
Returning from their victory over Quetzalcoatl, the group noticed Siduri run out to them distraught and panicked.
“Oh shit, I forgot about this” the young magician muttered
“Senpai?” the demi-servant heard him
“Siduri, what happened?”
“King Gilgamesh..” she continued to pant as she tried to speak “King Gilgamesh passed away!”
“Well, I guess it’s time to confront Eresh” Hessian sighed
