Hessian Does A Thing - Volume 1 Chapter 45 Blade
The young magician known as Hessian had decided that instead of tits, he should be focusing on getting bankai. Why? because he’ll motorboat some b.o.o.b.s sooner or later! So for the duration of his stay at Soul Society, Hessian would refrain from relying on his magecraft too much. He had felt Nanashi’s desire to fight. He felt that if he wanted to achieve Bankai without cheating, then he would have to fight like a soul reaper. Also he wants to snag a fashionable haori from the head captain, but that was secondary.
“Now I know what you’re thinking.” Hessian pointed finger guns at the squad 3 captain. “Should I kill this intruder. And the answer might surprise-”
“Shoot to kill, Shinso!” There was no change in stance nor release of spiritual pressure this time. Only the quick release of the extended blade towards the young magician.
“YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuu” Hessian brought up his zanpakuto and stopped the blade from piercing him. However the blade continued to extend despite his guard, forcing him through miles of buildings at breakneck speeds.
“That’s quite the set of lungs he’s got on him” Gin commented as he still heard the intruder’s voice from miles away.
Kicking off the rubble that landed on him, Hessian stood up to pat the dust off his clothes.
“Freakin, rude ass, fox faced bastard!” he cursed as he was annoyed
“Raise your head, Wabisuke.” Hessian guarded the strike from above as he examined the hooked blade bearing down on his own Zanpakuto. Kira Izuru, the vice-captain to Gin Ichimaru. He most likely felt that the intruder was a threat since he survived an attack from his captain. So he immediately released his own Shikai.
Hessian carefully deflected multiple slashes as he healed his body. His current body was converted to a spiritual one after going through the Senkaimon. Onyx was only equipped to deal with physical injuries. Any injuries to the soul would be Hessian’s job to fix.
“Wabisuke doubles the weight of anything it cuts.” Kira said as Hessian’s blade crashed into the ground. He was unable to lift it up after multiple attacks. “It’s useless, your sword clashed with mine 14 times. Each time the weight doubled.” he spoke while slowly approaching.
Hessian’s expression never changed as if he wasn’t surprised. He looked at the vice-captain and his expression became a bit smug. Kira became guarded but it was too late.
“Blade” From Nanashi, the refined drops shifted to his other hand into the form of a separate light blade. Despite his guard, Kira found his Zanpakuto cut in two. He was unable to process the absurdity of his weapon being cleaved through as a kick impacted his abdomen.
“I’ll admit, that’s a pretty broken ability. However it looks like I’m just not a good match for you.” Hessian said to the vice-captain before he lost consciousness. Wabisuke shifted back into it’s sealed state and the added weight on Nanashi disappeared.
“Also, I CAN DUAL WIELD LIKE A BADASS NOW!” Hessian exclaimed as he waved the light blade in his other hand.
“I heard something over there!”
“Let’s check it out!”
Hessian noticed a mob of soul reapers approaching as he wisely chose to disappear from the scene.
Outside of the gate, the group looked around in search of the missing magician.
“Hessian!” Ichigo yelled out
“Is he on the other side?”
“Ah, isn’t that a big problem!?” Orihime asked as she realized that captain was also over there.
*CRASH*
The sound of buildings being destroyed in quick succession sounded out from the other side of the gate.
“Oi, Hessian you alright!?” Ichigo yelled out towards the wall
“That’s enough, let’s go.” Yoruichi decided as she walked towards the town.
“Were just leaving him behind?”
The cat turned back to look at them with sharp eyes.
“There is nothing to worry about, he can handle himself.” she said ignoring the sounds of battle
“Besides, there’s no way to get through the gate right now. If you want to help him, then it’s better to quickly find another way in.”
“….” The group remained silent at that.
“Right then, let’s get going.” this time the group obediently followed along towards the Rukongai district.
Outside of the meeting room, Gin waited shortly for the door to creek open as he stepped through.
“You’re here. Captain of Squad 3, Gin Ichimaru.” an old voice called out
“What’s going on?” he asked casually while stepping in with unperturbed steps. “I get called so suddenly… and look at this crowd?” he glances at the captains lined up in the room
“The captains who control soul society, are all here for me? Maybe not.” His tone never changed as it was half playful and half sarcastic. “The captain of Squad 13 isn’t here?” he asked
“He’s absent with an Illness.” a dark-skinned captain with a visor answered from the side.
“Again? I hope he gets better soon.” Gin spoke with fake concern.
“Quit joking around. You know you weren’t summoned here for that.” A captain with an eyepatch said with an annoyed tone. “I heard you went and played with the Ryokas by yourself. And I hear you failed. Explain yourself.”
“You should have no trouble dealing with some Ryoka. Not only that I heard your lieutenant lost against one.”
“Oh? They didn’t die then?” Gin spoke with fake surprise that was hard to notice “Besides the one that got in, I thought they were dead!” he laughed as he rubbed his head in fake embaressment
“You can stop that monkey business.” A man in black and white make up chuckled condescendingly. “There’s no way that captain-level guys like us would fail to tell whether an opponent’s Hakudo has ceased or not.”
“There they go again, stupid squabbling among old fools again.” the youngest white haired captain muttered from the side
“Man, you guys make it sound like I let those guys go on purpose. Plus the one that got in was pretty tough, he even scared me a little.” Gin said acting wronged
“That’s precisely what I’m saying it sounds like.” Kurotsuchi pressed
“Shut up, Kurotsuchi. I’m talking to him now.” Kenpachi said as he took a step forward. “Or do you want to be done in by me?”
“What did you say?”
“So stupid.”
“Tempers are running high.”
“…..”
“Enough of this!” The oldest captain spoke out in a hard voice. “But I think the reason you have been summoned has been made clear.” his voice went back to the calm elderly man
“Acting alone, and letting the target escape. The only reason that there is no need to sound the alarm is because only one of them managed to make it inside.” The head captain listed out as he opened his eyes at Gin. “Well? How do you defend your actions, Ichimaru?”
“I can’t.”
“What?”
“There’s nothing I can say to defend myself. I made a simple mistake. I won’t make excuses.” Gin answered “I’ll accept whatever punishment–”
“Wait a minute Ichimaru.” The captain of squad 5, Aizen Sosuke interrupted as he stepped out. “First, let me ask you something.” he said with narrowed eyes
Before it could continue the sound of wood tapping was heard as the alarm was turned on.
“Urgent alert! Urgent alert! Intruders in the Sereitei! All squads get in position!.”
“It looks like the rest are coming.” the head captain said with a hard voice
“Could it be the rest of the Ryoka?!”
“Hey, wait Kenpachi!” a captain called out when he noticed Kenpachi running out of the room.
“Hmm, there is no choice now. The meeting of Squad Captains is dismissed for now.” Yamamoto declared. “I shall inform you later of how Ichimaru will be dealt with.”
“All Squads report immediately to battle stations.” he ordered with opened eyes
Hessian POV
“Urgent Alert! Urgent Alert!” I hear the sounds of the warning system sound out. It seems the speaker is using spiritual energy to make his voice reach out towards everyone.
“Ahh, Hessian I know you’re new here but stop daydreaming and follow my lead.” a silver haired girl called out towards me
“Understood Lieutenant Isane” I say rubbing my head in embarrassment
“Listen, we need to be ready at all times. Especially now, there could be injured coming in at any time.” she spoke earnestly
“Yes, yes I hear you”
“Really, you need to take this more seriously.” she sighed
“Understood!” I give a half salute
I turn my head towards the sky to see the incoming cannon shot about to impact the barrier. Damn, I really should have went with them. Oh well, I’ll have time later.
