Hessian Does A Thing - Volume 1 Chapter 62 Becoming A God
Hessian POV
Atop the peak of the mountain, I waited patiently as Nanashi continued to refine the golden runes in front of him. Those runes were the divine runes that Eresh used to entrap me during Babylonia. Back then, Nanashi had only subjugated the runes and refined a small fraction of their power. Divinity truly is incredible, even Nanashi hadn’t been able to completely absorb it after all this time.
However today, I felt that he was incredibly close to achieving it. Eresh never did ask for the runes back, so I assumed she wouldn’t care what I did with it. I had taken time to study them closely, however I was unable to gleam the truths hidden within them. Unfortunately I don’t think I’m smart enough to do it. I’m just a researcher, not a genius. I just have a lot of time and built up practical experience. So it’s not surprising that I’m lacking as far as intelligence goes.
The divinity continued to pulse in protest as Nanashi’s eyes became even sharper. Sweat ran down his face in his concentration. Does divinity have it’s own sentience? Unsure, but Eresh never seemed to be bothered despite knowing Nanashi was refining the divine runes she left behind. I even asked her if she was alright to let Nanashi have a go at it.
*CRACK*
The sound came from the rune, I could see a crack form in one of the runes. Oh shit, he’s actually doing it! Nanashi seemed to take the moment to put in even more effort. I watched with unblinking eyes as the cracks spread throughout the rest of the runes.
*CRACK*
“Your hands!” I exclaimed
My eyes widened as the crack didn’t come from the runes this time. Nanashi’s hands formed cracks that were emitting divinity. He didn’t pay attention to it, but before I could attempt something he stopped me with a look. It seemed like he didn’t want me to interfere, so I backed off. I’m actually feeling worried as I watch the cracks spread over his arms. The cracks emitted a golden light, similar to the runes. Nanashi narrowed his eyes at the runes that were resisting his power.
“Merely the power of a god, and it dares to believe that it can stop me!?” His eyes began to glow resplendent light. The pressure from the runes became drowned out as 5 blades grew out from Nanashi’s back. The runes responded to Nanashi’s show of power with their own. Neither side desired to give up and would continue until the other was destroyed. The clash of pressure forced the sea of memories to tremble.
The sky began to collapse as I was forced to buckle down. Those two are going to destroy my world at this rate! Ignoring Nanashi’s desires, the sea of memories rose up to the peak of the mountain. I forced myself to stand straight as I join in suppressing the power of divinity.
“HHAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH” Our combined roars were drowned out by the void, the world around us disappeared the moment the runes finally shattered. In that moment, I felt like I could understand life and death. Then the void exploded with golden light. The light spread out through the void and illuminated the nothingness. The sea and mountain returned to their former place. I watched the world expand much greater than I originally intended it to be.
After the world finally stopped it’s growth, floating atop the peak in front of us. The golden orb of pure enlightenment remained still as if waiting for someone. I glanced at Nanashi as he signaled me with his eyes. With slow measured steps, I approached the light. My hand reached forward and grasped it in my palms. My world seemed to glow with me as I felt the light assimilating itself into my very being.
In that moment, I had officially become a god.
“Damn, that was an impressive use of tails!”
Hessian panted with a feeling of contentment as he stood above the downed form of the Nanabi. It was a difficult battle, truly the amount of tails did matter as far as s.e.x.u.a.l prowess went. He walked over to the large door, leaving the Nanabi behind in a puddle of fluids.
“So, you said that the boss of all foxes is here right?” Hessian asked as Alice appeared by his side again.
“Yes, I can practically smell her nearby.” Alice narrowed her eyes as she took joy in her companion’s victory over the foxes. She seemed to have some grudge against foxes for whatever reason.
The two had come to a port town, however they were unable to get a ride across the sea due to odd reasons. After investigating the place for rumors, they were led to a cave in which Shirou learned that the Nine-tailed fox herself was here. Hearing that, Hessian ignored his original goal of getting the Poseidon Bell and decided that he would defeat this boss in a battle of carnal pleasure. Then he could check off foxes for his list of monster girl races to subjugate.
“Now go Hessian! Prove yourself a Hero and slay those damn foxes!” she ordered, ignoring her dislike of heroes. Hessian gave his travel buddy a look before asking.
“Alice, do you not like foxes?” he raised a brow.
“Not particularly, no.” Alice admitted while looking away. It was an odd sight for Hessian, considering how direct she would usually be. Hessian stared at Alice a little longer, giving her an uncomfortable feeling. “Let’s just get the damn bell, so we can get on with the trip.” she huffed
The big door creaked open, revealing the Nine-tailed fox known as Tamamo. Hessian noted that she looked completely different than the Tamamo he knew back in grand order.
“Oh shit.” Hessian said as a look of horror dawned on his face when he gazed at the loli fox he claimed he would defeat in s.e.x.u.a.l combat.
“What? Why do you look so afraid?” Alice was actually surprised since the entire journey, Hessian had been fearless to absolutely everything they came across.
“She… SHE LOOKS LIKE A TEN YEAR OLD!” Hessian cried out
“And that’s a problem because? You know she’s actually the oldest known monster alive right?” She said
“That’s not the issue, it’s the fact that I claimed to f.u.c.k someone who looks like a ten year old is the problem!” he clarified with a serious look.
“Hehe.” Tamamo giggled, cutely covering her mouth with the sleeve of her kimono. “Thou are truly most forward, human.”
Tamamo stood up and invaded Hessian’s personal space as myriad thoughts ran through his head. “Smells delicious!” Tamamo spoke after sniffing him up. “Thou would make a good mate!”
The comment snapped Hessian out of his thoughts.
“WAIT DON’T SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT!” He shouted with panic
“Why not? Don’t tell me thou art shy? ” she tilted her head and looked at Alice. “I have heard of thine’s exploits on thy journey with the Monster Lord.” However Hessian completely ignored that as what he feared had come.
*CRACK*
The space cracked open as a portal opened up.
“OH NO!” Hessian cried out as a mob of people in suits stepped out
“FREEZE FBI!”
“DON’T MOVE FREAK!”
“YOU’RE GOING AWAY FROM A LONG TIME PUNK!!”
Finally the boss of the FBI agents stepped forth and lowered his shades at Hessian, ignoring the dumbfounded monster girls on the side.
“Hessian Aversis von Schweinorg. We warned you!” The boss agent spoke with a deep serious voice that boomed throughout the cave.
“I SWEAR OFFICER, SHE’S LEGAL!” Hessian cried out indignantly as he gestured to the loli Tamamo.
The boss took a moment to look at the loli with a raised brow.
“Just to be safe anyway. OPEN FIRE!” the agents rained bullets at the young magician
“GODAMNIT!”
