HEX: Aspect Of The Void - Chapter 197
“Ah… so that’s what happened” Lust muttered, placing her long-nailed fingers on her chin.
After crying her eyes out for what seemed like an eternity, she finally calmed herself. Apologizing profusely, she returned to her comported self, allowing me to address her with more pertinent matters.
Lust appeared to be in deep thought as she took in all the memories I gave her.
After transferring the bulk of what I wanted to through ‘Memory Transfer’, she instantly understood what had transpired thus far, and the plan we were to undertake.
Needless to say, no more explanations were needed, however, there were some things that only words could achieve.
“So, that’s what we’re going to be doing now,” I concluded.
After retrieving Wrath and Lust, the next step would be to find the remaining five, and quick.
“I see…”
“So, where do you intend on going now? Who’s next?” She asked.
A grin formed on my face.
“Why don’t you just watch how things play out? It’ll be more entertaining that way.”
Her eyes widened and then suddenly narrowed. With reddened cheeks and a sensually excited expression, she licked her lips in anticipation.
“Ohh, Master… you sure know how to leave someone in suspense. Now I’m sooo excited.” Her voice purred seductively as she groped herself.
Wrath made a disgusted look, controlling himself from lashing out any further harsh words. Lumia only stared at Lust in confusion, wondering if she was normal in her psyche.
“Now then, we’ve concluded our business here. It’s time we leave…” I said, turning to the open exit of the room.
“But Master, what about the Treasures stored here? Do you not wish to take them with yo-”
“Leave them… they’ll come in handy soon.” I grinned.
Recognizing the sinister meaning behind my actions, Lust did not question me any further than that.
“Ah, I can’t wait to see it all unfold, master’s plan!’ She blushed as she drew near to me.
Well, whatever, it’s time to leave.
Lust generated a portal at the entrance of her Boss Room in an instant, providing us with a means of exit in the shabby place. Of course, I could have done the same with the Administrator’s Authority, but it was a good call she made to take the initiative.
“Finally, I can leave this drab place. The fun I’ll be having with master… I can’t wait! I can’t wait!” She hummed to herself.
If only you knew, Lust. From here on out, things will become hell, and we’ll be in the fight of our lives. But, I suppose for someone like this creation of mine, it only counts as more exciting news.
>SHUUUUU<
We all passed through the portal, leaving the Dungeon behind us.
“Oh, hold on a moment, Lust… what about those monsters and humans?” I suddenly remembered.
“Oh, them? I have no need for those toys anymore… after all, there are way more where we’re going, right?”
She beamed at me with her obsessive and creepy smile, just how I liked it. I beamed back at my creation and nodded.
“Of course.”
[The Abandoned Town, Eastern Empire’s Outskirts]
{Few Moments Earlier}
“Xiang, what now?” A muscular woman asked the fair beauty who sat elegantly in her parlor.
She glanced at the huge and masculine-looking woman with a scheming smile.
“How many more supplies do we have?”
“Counting the elderly and nearly dead, we have a little over twenty left.” The other woman answered.
“I see. And the pregnancies?”
“A total of fifteen of the women have conceived, over nine are expected to give birth before the deadline stipulated by the Town Monster. Out of the babies, the likelihood of having males, according to our current statistics is 3 in ten.
“I see. This is quite the predicament indeed. It’s fortunate that those strangers came when they did. We were able to avert a catastrophe thanks to that.” Xiang said with a relieved sigh.
The truth was that the males in the village were required to be sacrificed to the monster which visited once a month. Depending on the monster’s mood, it could require more than one male.
As a result of this, there was a scarcity of the demanded gender. The older males were preserved since only they could impregnate the women, and most times, the babies were often sacrificed.
The monster did not complain, since it even seemed to appreciate having babies among the sacrifices.
“We still don’t know what they are used for, mostly for the creature’s meal. But that doesn’t matter. What matters is the problem at hand.” Xiang added, trying to rationally figure out a solution, her specialty.
Since they had been sacrificing children recently, the males who would replace the old were dwindling at an alarming rate. And since the resources in the village weren’t exactly top-notch, it wasn’t as though the elderly would live very long under the circumstances.
At this rate, we’ll soon run out of men! What’s the way out? Think, Xiang. You have been given six months!
“Is there a way to get more visitors? The monster seemed pleased to have them. If we obtain more, we could probably secure more than a year for ourselves.” The muscular woman suggested.
Xiang glared at the woman, making her regret speaking.
As always, all brawn and no brain! Xiang thought in frustration.
If it was that easy to obtain the special sacrifices, they would have done so already. Rather, if it was possible to leave the village to obtain more sacrifices, wouldn’t it be more efficient to escape, rather than put up with the crazy monster’s requests?
There’s no way it isn’t monitoring us. There’s nothing we can do. We’re trapped here!
Of course, she couldn’t explain the complicated matters to her dumb sister, so all she could do was ignore her words.
“Ahh, what we need now is a miracle… If only we could get more men like those ones to wander here themselves… That would be great!” Xiang whispered, staring at the ceiling.
“Sister Liang! Leader Xiang!!!” A desperate voice interrupted her thoughts as another muscular woman barged into the premises.
“W-what is it now, Xuiyan?!” Xiang barked in annoyance.
She didn’t have time to deal with another matter occurring in the Town.
Ever since she took responsibility for the Town to prevent everyone from facing extinction, she had made the tough calls and ensured the survival of her people.
However, it appeared that they depended on her too much. Like a bunch of idiots, they could do nearly nothing without her instruction and supervision. While she didn’t mind the power and respect she had in the village, sometimes she grew frustrated by the stupidity of the people she led.
“Who needs help with washing aga-?!”
“N-no, it’s not that… t-there’s something you both need to see. I-it’s the town square!”
Xiang gave a confused look to the woman who sat opposite her, Liang.
Appearing to be in thought for a moment, she decided to see what was wrong.
“Let’s go!”
Liang nodded her head immediately and the two women followed Xuiyan who panted tiredly as she ran ahead of them.
What’s going on? Why do I have a bad feeling about this? Xiang gulped nervously.
Taking the shortest route, and moving at top speed, they reached the town square in a few minutes. While Liang still appeared to be in good shape, Xiang was short on breath since she wasn’t used to the exercise. Physical labor was not her forte, and definitely not strenuous exertion such as keeping pace with two well-built women.
“N-no way…” Liang muttered unbelievably, her deep voice turning thin as she shivered.
Xiang, who was still gasping heavily raised her head to witness what made her buff sister so frightened. Her eyes bulged and her body froze at the sight of the people before her.
“You… how is this… possible?!”
Dozens of thoughts ran in her mind, and as the people emerged from the purple portal, showing their faces clearly, Xiang’s face displayed even more terrier.
The major question that stood out, out of everything else was…
How are they still alive?!
[My Turn]
Ah, the lovely sight of despair on the faces of everyone present made me nearly let out an excited laugh. It was worth it delaying the portal’s full manifestation.
The way they all waited in suspense as the purple rift slowly appeared and opened, giving them enough time to summon their leader as she also partook of the despondency, it was truly satisfying.
As we all stepped out of the Gate, causing it to close, I looked around me, seeing the ones who thought they betrayed me, not realizing I knew it all from the start.
“Well, then… everyone, it appears I’m back. What’s wrong? Won’t you show me the same hospitality as before?”
They couldn’t reply. A mix of guilt and fear rendered them too shocked to utter a single word.
Now then, where should I start from?
[Meanwhile]
>ZWOOOOOOOOOPP<
A blinding light descended from the sky, coming from the far recesses of space as it landed upon the earth.
>BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM<
Golden radiance surrounded the area as everything around the point of impact burned as a result of the intensity of the radiation emitted from the center of the explosion.
Two figures appeared to be standing in the middle of the smoky area, both appearing unscathed and covered by a form of golden aura.
“Well, well, well…” One said with a grin.
“Let us begin…. our search for the source of that Primordial Aspect Of the Void!”
