High academy:the truth untold - 20 Chapter 20. Buttering
The boy wore a cream coloured shirt and a navy blue pant, uniform of HIGH Academy with a crest imprinted on the shirt. He was short, but looked quite manly with his broad shoulders and light purple hair. A light smile is playing on his lips. His body gave a polite vibe to others. All in all, he seemed perfect in his own way.
“And why was that? ” Giving an air of elegance and arrogance, Roselia asked him back.
If it wasn’t for her sweet voice, others would have mistaken her as an arrogant lass.
Even after hearing the girl, the boy simply smiled back at them and started explaining things.
” Today is the opening ceremony and it will be conducted in the dining hall. Right now…. ” His gaze shifted inside the hall.
Both, Roselia and Islinda followed his line of sight, the dining hall was getting decorated.
Looking at both of them, he understood they got what he needed to say, ” The hall is getting decorated pretty ladies. ”
“Oh my god… Did I hear him correct, did he just now praised me.”
( of course not, he complimented Islinda too. Don’t get too high in the sky, just for a mere comment Roselia) ~author
Roselia couldn’t believe her ears. This was the first time a boy actually came to her and complimented her beauty.
It indeed made her feel better. However, she didn’t show her excitement on her face and simply gave a blank expression look to him.
However, the boy seemed to not mind her aloof behavior as he smiled back brightly, watching them. Even after telling them clearly, both of them didn’t budge a finger. He didn’t know why they are standing still like statues in the same place.
After a minute or two, he finally came to a conclusion that they might be having some issue to solve, he took the initiative to speak, ” Do you need any help? ”
His voice, just as polite as before.
His voice made Roselia to hit back into reality, in low voice, ” That…. ”
Before she could finish her words, Islinda cut her in mid-sentence.
Smiling back uncomfortably at him, ” Nothing and thank you for notifying. ” Declaring, even before she could complete her sentence, she already began to drag Roselia away from the situation. Islinda felt he was trying to flatter them with his words and the situation was awkward. Even though, many boys confessed their feelings to her, it was a lot for her to take in for their first meeting.
Guess that she still needs time to get used to those buttering up’s.
Roselia only understood that she was dragged by Islinda only when she felt her fragile hand hand was in pain, ” Wait Izzy…..You will break ny hand, ” Saying that, she shook her hand away from Islinda’s grasp and caressed her hand with the other hand.
By this time they already went far away distance from that boy earlier.
” Why? Do you want to flirt with that purple head? ” Islinda questioned playfully.
Roselia was already angry enough for dealing rough with her, now after hearing her speak this way, her anger spiked to it’s maximum, ” Why? Do you have any problem, ” Her voice stern, her expression told not to provoke her.
She know Islinda was just being jovial, but somehow her behavior ignited the anger in her. She took few deep breathes in and out to control herself, ” Do you know that we won’t be allowed inside Dining Hall before? ”
Roselia raised her eyes questioningly, her eyes told not to lie with her. She thought Islinda wantedly brought her here.
Islinda gulped down the huge lump formed in her throat, clearing her throat, ” Well… How would I know… Hehehe.. It’s not like I know everything about HIGH Academy, ” She lied between her teeth unthinkably.
Islinda knew the opening ceremony is going to be held in dining hall. But she forgot to inform about it and just like daily, she came to the Hall. However, they happened to encounter some random guy and she felt awkward, scurrying away from him, unknowingly she spoke.
“But something we forgot unintentionally means we didn’t lie right. It means we are just hiding truth? ” Explaining herself that way, she proved herself as right.
Roselia is not any stupid, she knew something was not correct. Yet, she doesn’t want to probe further into the topic. Both of them walked to the canteen in the library block and bought few snacks back to the room.
The library block lies exactly opposite to the main block.
Time flew by and soon night came. Students in neatly ironed uniforms started to fill the dining hall.
Candle holders 6 feet tall stood in each corner and 2 feet tall stood in the centre of every table with brightly lit candles. Along left wall, an enormous fireplace was arranged which reached above 4 feet. Curtains in blue and white combination were neatly arranged along the windows. Table cloth was replaced into a new cloth.
