Highschool Dxd Fate Unbound - Chapter 3 Secrets And Observations

Before Mary and Griselda arrived-

Haruto was in his room, lying on top of his bed normally people would think he was thinking about something but actually he was conversing.

-Haruto POV-

Haruto: (What do you think about that Nun, from what i know shes called Griselda)

???: (I did not sense any evil intentions, from what i can guess she saw your talent and is thinking of recruiting you but for what purpose I’m not too sure)

Haruto: (Well we will eventually find out for now let’s get some sleep)

I close my eyes and drift into sleep for i want to be in top condition tomorrow to get lessons from a swordmaster like Griselda Quarta.

-Third person POV-

As you could have guessed Haruto is a reincarnated person but unlike the reincarnation we all know of Haruto’s reincarnation was beyond strange.

He remembers that he met a God/Goddess but can’t seem to remember the conversation and there was also parts of his memory that he believes are “missing”, the voice he coversed with was with him ever since he woke up in the Baby’s body and helped him out to no small degree it was with his help that Haruto even though being a 7 year old was much stronger than his peers with the help of remaining memory of course.

The things he does remember in between the missing memories were mostly sword practice memories, Energy and Magic Manipulation and Senjutsu, the main reason he was stronger than his peers was because of his Magic Manipulation and Senjutsu Control to strenghten himself.

As for swordmanship, the memories had sword techniques in them but because of his young body he wasn’t able to practice them so the second best thing to do was strenghten his foundation. Even though the results weren’t showing yet but in the future he’ll definitely have a much easier time practicing advanced swordmanship.

-Morning Haruto POV-

Right now I’m in the Orphanage’s grounds in front of me is Griselda holding two practice wood swords, one big and one small.

Griselda: It’s good that you are here early now take this sword and swing it, i first need to see your current attainments if i wanna decide the best training method for you. (smile)

Haruto: (just what i would expect from a master)

I take the short sword and start swinging.

-Griselda POV-

I gave him a wooden sword to check how far he had gotten in swordmanship, i supposed he had a good talent since he was practicing those foundational techniques but even i could not hold my suprise.

Griselda: (He’s almost in the swordsman boundary!)

I was known as a genius in swordmanship because i entered the swordsman boundary within a year but according to Mary the boy only started this practice on his seventh birthday! four months ago! Whats with this talent!

Griselda: you really are talented Haruto with a bit more practice you’ll enter the Swordsman boundary.

Haruto: Boundary? (tilts head)

Griselda: (Stay calm! Stay Calm! Resist the cuteness!) Yes boundary. Haruto weapon masters of any kind of weapons need to enter their respective boundary if they want to become true wielders of those weapons, you and i both practice sword arts but i am already a Swordswoman but you aren’t because you haven’t entered your boundary.

Haruto suddenly shows a disappointed expression and i honestly start to panic.

Griselda: But! like i said you are talented you only need some more guidance and work to become the youngest swordsman ever!

Haruto now shows a cheerful expression. (He’s so easy to coax)

Griselda: But don’t be complacent there might be people more talented than you (which is unlikely) and there are many that are stronger than you so continue to work hard.

Haruto nods with determination.

Haruto: I understand so when can we start! (sparkling eyes)

(Dear God forgive me) I snatch Haruto up and gave him a hug with all my strenght, It’s like hugging a plushie!

Haruto: hu…hu..(muffled sounds)

Mary: Griselda can you please not suffocate Haru.

Mary appears in the field and i could swear i saw a twitch in her brow.

Haruto: Mom! Help!

This was one thing i found out about Haruto and Mary since Haruto is one of the youngest as well as the earliest member of the orphanage he unlike the other orphans didn’t call Mary “Mother” but instead called her “Mom” and even if she didn’t say anything It’s clear as day that Mary also treats Haruto like her son.

Griselda: Moh don’t be jealous and let me hug him for a little more.

Mary: Training…now.

Griselda: Alright don’t make such a scary face.

I sight in defeat and put down Haruto, I’ll get my chances.

Griselda: Now where was i? Oh Yes! the boundary now Haruto you are very close to achieving the boundary, i will help you enter it but there will not be any advanced practice not until you are older and your body is stronger so right now i want you to completely soldify your basics, i for one will give you guidance as well as other methods for improving foundation.

Haruto: Sister i have a question but when will i know that i have entered the swordsman boundary?

Griselda: Haruto answer me this when you swing your sword does it feel like your sword had disappeared and only an extension of yourself remained.

Haruto has a thoughtful expression looks like he himself didn’t realize this peculiar state of becoming “One with your weapon”

After giving him instructions i watched as Haruto practiced, seeing his talent with a sword was one thing but witnessing his hardwork and determination was another.

Hours passed but the boy didn not move from his spot and continued to swing the practice blade, his little body was drenched in sweat but his eyes never once wavered, i was about to call him to stop his practice since it was already impressive for me to see both his talent and Hardwork so he deserved a well earned rest.

But suddenly as i watched Haruto i halted my steps his face still looked tired but there was now no signs of frustration on his face replacing it was only calmness. The swings started to become more swift and refined with much less mistakes than the former ones.

That was a clear indication that Haruto has now entered the state of “One with sword” and reached the SWORDSMAN BOUNDARY!

Griselda: (Haah Haru really has a future of a great warrior waiting for him)

-Haruto POV-

Haruto: I can’t feel the sword……did i do it!!!

???: Yes you did congragulations Swordsman.

Haruto: (Hahaha looks like even those memories did not have everything i needed huh….Haah I’m so tired)

???: They did have those information but you were too focused on the advanced techniques or the foundational technique that you did not even pay attention to the details.

Before i could even retort a shadow appeared in front of me with white eyes and a creepy smile.

Haruto: (It’s the HUG FIEND!!!) (terrified)

-Griselda POV-

Griselda: Haruto! You entered the swordsman boundary! (Hugs)

Since this is a happy occasion A hug is necessary right!

Haruto: Hmmmm….

sensing the lack of Energy i look down to see Haruto’s tired expression, looks like he really is a little kid but it was really impressive for him to hold out so long.

Haruto: Alright sleepyhead let’s go get you something to eat and then its bedtime, you did great today.

Seeing him nod i take his hand and make my way inside, the suprises keep pilling up i wonder what you will eventually become Haruto.
