His Eccentric Wife - Chapter 14 For You 1
First things first, before you start reading the chapter, please read this short note for the author, that is I, me & myself;
You must have noticed that I am writing another novel, whose only prologue is updated now, titled as “From Fake to Forever”. I will be updating that novel after ending this one and another (if I get to start it along this one :P)
Actually, I am very fond of, it’s one of my most favorites K-drama, “W” which is also known as “W – Two Worlds” and I was thinking of writing a fan-fiction on it. And the main couple…oh.my.god!!! They are simply perfect together. Stopping my fangirling here, I would like to ask you that, are you interested in a fanfiction like that? I will be adding a few other characters to it but the basic plot-line will remain the same. Please reply to the same in the comments in simple “Yes” or “No”.

Two days after Yu Yan woke up.
Too many things happened in these past two days. For one, Zhao Wei got to know about how his wife had been treating his daughters, how cruel and ignorant she was as a mother. This resulted in him cutting off all ties with her. Zhao Mei would be recognized as a Zhao but she will never be a family member again. Secondly, Li Qian’s video with that unknown woman, in which he had revealed his plans regarding the Zhao sisters, was made public. This earned the Li family shame, embarrassment and extreme loss in business.
As promised, Zhao Wei took no time in destroying the Li family’s business. During all this, Li Qiang was kidnapped from his place of hiding, his farmhouse, and was brought to the same abandoned warehouse where Aunty Rong was kept, but in a different room. There he was punished for what he did, for everything that he did. Everybody took turns on him, it wasn’t a sight for the faint-hearted.
“Excuse me, sir.”
He stopped typing on his laptop and looked up at his secretary, “Hhhmm?”
“Mr. Li Qiang was found in an alley, beaten and castrated.” his secretary informed which made him burst into bouts of laughter.
“We were informed that it was Madam who did the surgery.” the secretary added, unfazed of the fact that his boss was laughing at someone’s misery.
“Ah!” he leaned back on his chair, “No wonder I fell in love with her. She’s just my type, don’t you think?” he twirled his chair around to face his secretary, “Do whatever it takes but make sure that nobody is able to trace this incident back to the Zhao’s, my dearest Abigail and her friends. No harm should come to them.”
“As you say, Sir.”

Xin Qian and Wang Yong landed in New York in the wee hours before dawn. Xin Qian hadn’t informed Wang Yong about the fact that they were in New York specifically for Wang Yong’s treatment. She didn’t tell him before because she was afraid that he would refuse to go, refuse to meet the doctor. So she kept the main reason for choosing New York at their honeymoon destination a secret.
They chose to stay Xin Qian’s apartment instead of a hotel because of the homely feel that the apartment had but the hotel didn’t.
“You still haven’t told me as to what do you do except painting Miss Mosaic.” Wang Yong asked.
Xin Qian smiled and continued brushing her hair. After they had arrived at her, their, apartment, they chose to rest first. For the next few hours both of them slept on the same bed but maintained a little bit of distance between them. The said mentioned distance lessened as the time passed.
When Xin Qian had woken up, she found herself wrapped in the cocoon of Wang Yong’s warmth. She was snuggled against his chest and he had his arms around her while she had her leg thrown over his. Not wanting to make it awkward, she got out of his hold careful not to wake him up and went to take a shower. They had an appointment with the doctor to discuss Wang Yong’s case at 4, they still had time enough to have freshen up and have lunch.
Coming back to the current situation, Wang Yong was sitting on the bed while Xin Qian was getting ready for the day.
“Won’t you ever tell me?” he asked.
“What’s there to hide? I am a painter and a fashion designer, what more do you want to know?” Xin Qian asked as she clasped her favorite platinum pendant necklace around her neck. A simple butterfly shaped pendant with diamonds at the corner of its wings.
“You are no simple painter and it’s hard to believe that you are just any other designer. There are currently 4 fashion designers whose identity is a mystery, which one are you?” he asked.
Xin Qian smiled a teasing smile, “Though it’s not that important issue but I am kinda liking this keeping it a secret thing. You look like a child trying hard to explore his new toy.”
“I am just being a good husband else I would have already know.”
“Yeah, yeah. I believe you.” Xin Qian went upto him and helped him to shift onto his wheelchair. “I will take out your clothes, get ready soon, hhmm. We have an important place to visit.”
“What place?” Wang Yong asked.
“It’s a surprise.” Xin Qian said softly.
“What surprise?” Wang Yong asked, “I don’t like people hiding things from me, okay?! At least tell me about this.” he persisted.
Xin Qian tensed. Taking Wang Yong to the hospital for the check up whose result might just be the same was thousand times serious matter as compared to any other thing. She herself didn’t like hiding things from him, could she tell him now? Or should she tell him when they will reach the hospital? Xin Qian decided that it was better to talk to him now and prepare him for it was better than making a scene at the hospital.
“I am taking you to meet a doctor to get your legs checked.”
Wang Yong felt as if he was hit by something really hard, something that caused ignited a fire inside him that was burning his insides. All the memories of his accident and the treatment after came back hit him like a bullet. The disappointment, the heartache, the pain that he had felt when he got to know that he wouldn’t be able to walk. Over the time he had steeled himself and learned to convert this disability of his into an advantage. But now that the topic was brought back and that he was going to be examined again and that once again he would be reminded of the fact that he won’t be able to stand and walk on his legs ever again caused him so much pain that his anger rose to the peak.
“How could you?” he gnashed his teeth, “How could you do this? Do you want to humiliate me for any reason?” he asked making Xin Qian’s anger to rise as well.
“What do you mean? How could you even think of that?”
Wang Yong let out a mirthless chuckle, “If not that then do you pity me? Or are you ashamed of the fact that your husband can’t walk?”
Xin Qian tried hard not to do something that she might regret later. So she placed her hands on Wang Yong’s shoulders and stared directly into his eyes. For few seconds both of them didn’t speak but kept on staring at each other. “I have vowed to care for you, to cherish you. And being your wife, I have the right to do what I am doing! You gave me that right the day you married me. You belong to me, do you understand?” Xin Qian said angrily.
“You are a jerk to think that I am ashamed of you or perhaps have pity for you. I don’t pity you but I do think that you are a fool, a coward who couldn’t face another doctor for a second opinion! Why are you afraid of the outcome of this? What would change if the doctors say that you won’t be able to walk again? Nothing! Do you hear me? It’s going to change nothing!” she yelled in his face.
“I am taking a chance with this, I care for you that is why I am doing this! Instead of being negative about this, have you ever thought that maybe, maybe you will be able to walk again? Have you ever thought about it?” Xin Qian removed her hands from his shoulders and placed them on his cheeks, cupping his face in his hands. “I just want you to have a better life. Is it wrong of me to want the best for you?” Xin Qian was trying hard not to cry.
She moved back and came to stand a few steps away from Wang Yong, “I am going out for some work. We have the appointment at 4. Think about it while I am gone.” she said before picking up her handbag and walking away.

At 3:20 P.M., when Xin Qian came back she saw Wang Yong ready and waiting for her. “Shall we?” he asked making Xin Qian break into a tearful smile. She came close to him and bend down a little, just enough to be in level with his face. She leaned and softly placed her lips on his. Both of them closed their eyes lost in the feel on their lips touching, “Thank you.” said Xin Qian as she broke the kiss. Their kisses still hadn’t crossed past the simple lips brush but it was still so intimate and caused their hearts to flutter.
“I promise to you that whatever the result of this check-up may be, it will change nothing between us.” Xin Qian promised to which Wang Yong smiled in return.
