His Eccentric Wife - Chapter 9 The Psychopathic Bitch
The celebrations of Wang Yong and Xin Qian’s wedding went on for late in the night. It was a very festive affair and Xin Qian totally enjoyed it all while Wang Yong was having a bit difficult time because of the presence of Li Yi Feng. He didn’t know what exactly was he going through but it wasn’t a pleasant feeling at all.
Though Xin Qian had enjoyed being a part of the celebrations but she had other affairs to tend to and tomorrow she was to become a bride again so she left the party early. As Xin Qian walked out of the party hall and towards the parking lot where a car was waiting for her.
“I will drive, you can go back home.” she took the keys from the driver who gave her a bow of thanks and went away.
Xin Qian sat on the driver’s seat and before starting the car she sent a particular message to her friends. She knew they had something to tell her and she had something to discuss with them as well.
****************
Julian and Arianna were making wedding plans while Abigail was flirting with some guy. Dylan was completely enjoying the attention he was getting from the females, Regina and Li Yi Feng, on the other hand, were about to start a drinking competition when their cell phones went off indicating the arrival of a new message.
Though they would have had ignored the notification had the tone of notification not been a specific beep. It was actually their kind of thing, the seven of them had set a particular set of notifications tone in their cell phone for the notifications and calls, a particular set of tones for their group only.
Immediately the six of them unlocked their cell phones and opened the message. It was a message from Xin Qian, that read;
“XYZ warehouse, DC road, you will find me in the cellar. Come fast and delete the message.”
Without asking any questions, any discussion, the six of them deleted the message. They stood up to leave and left the party hall after making reasonable excuses to the people they were talking to and congratulated Wang Yong once again before leaving.
It took them all an hour and 35 minutes to arrive at the address that Xin Qian had messaged them. Had it been morning time then the abandoned warehouse wouldn’t have looked this much haunted as it was appearing to be now. Under the moonlight, the warehouse was looking like a haunted house, a deserted area surrounded by nothing but jungle.
“She is up to something.” exclaimed Julian as he ran a hand through his hair.
“I think she knows what we wanted to tell her. Is it bad to be kinda excited about what she may be doing in there?” Abigail was actually jumping with excitement.
Julian chuckled and ruffled Abigail’s hair, “Let’s go and see what she is up to now.” he said and they all walked inside the warehouse and then down in the cellar.
The cellar was dusty, dark and unclean. The only source of light in the cellar was the lightbulb hanging from the ceiling which was enough for them to see Xin Qian standing in the middle. She had changed her clothes and was now wearing black trousers and a black hoodie.
The close the six of them went, the more they realized that there was someone else there as well, someone who was tied to the chair and currently in a semi-conscious state. They came to stand beside, 3 on either side of Xin Qian as they stared at the old woman tied to the chair.
“Tell me, what you wanted to tell me.” Xin Qian spoke in a detached voice which was scary for those who didn’t know about Xin Qian’s true personality.
The scene was scary as well, a woman tied to the chair and surrounded by 7 strangers in an abandoned warehouse that was so far from the city that nobody would be able to hear her screams. Xin Qian’s friends stood there, completely unfazed about the fact that their friend was here doing God knows what.
“Wang Yong’s car was tempered, the breaks were damaged which lead to his accident in which he lost his ability to walk.” informed Arianna.
Xin Qian let out a mirthless chuckle and tucked the strands of the woman’s hair behind her hear, “Do you hear that Aunty Rong? You thought that we won’t be able to find out as to what is going on?”
Xin Qian pinched the woman’s cheek which would have been an affectionate action had it been done softly but Xin Qian pinched the woman’s cheeks hard enough to make her scream.
Her friends watched her without giving out any expression, “Guys, are you aware why Aunty Rong is here and more importantly who she is?” Xin Qian turned around to face her friends who said nothing as they waited for Xin Qian to tell them about it.
“This woman here,” she moved behind the woman on the chair and placed her hands on either of her shoulders, “is the woman who had been taking care of my husband since after his accident. She is solely responsible for preparing the food that is consumed by my husband Yong. And guess what she was mixing in the food. Any guesses?” Xin Qian had a scary smile on her face and the glint in her eyes was so horrifying that only one word would suffice, death.
“Aunty Rong was mixing a kind of slow poison in Wang Yong’s food. The food that my husband was consuming, the man who gave her shelter, money and the same respect that he gives to his parents. He gave her love and she was reciprocating it with poison.” Xin Qian clenched her fists tight trying to control the urge of hurting the woman.
She then explained as to how she had found Aunty Rong mixing something in Wang Yong’s juice and when she had asked about it, how Aunty Rong had defensively dismissed her. Xin Qian was thankful for her intuition system for warning her about the potential danger. And she was proved correct when she got the powder that Aunty Rong mixing in Wang Yong’s food, checked.
All that Xin Qian said had her friends eyes widen slightly in shock, “So they are attacking not only from outside but there are a few insiders as well.” Regina blew out a breath.
“What has that guy done to you that you are doing this to him?” she couldn’t help but ask.
Aunty Rong’s head lolled to a side and she let out a breathless laugh, “Try as much as you want, I won’t tell you anything.”
Xin Qian let out a laugh of her own, “You think that I brought here to get some answers from you?” Aunty Rong paled hearing Xin Qian’s laughter.
“No my dearest, this is not the case. See I have dealt with people like you which are disgustingly loyal. If you weren’t so then you would have told me by yesterday only, it was your third day of imprisonment after all. Normally people of your age break down by the third day.” informed Xin Qian making her friends smile and chuckle thinking about their previous experiences like this.
“You see I am no sugary sweet, innocent, polite and kind woman that others think me to be. And they also don’t know how much bold and blunt I can be. These are all lies Aunty Rong, lies that I let them believe, lies that I want them to believe. But you know who the real me is?” Xin Qian cracked her knuckles and stretched her arms over her head feeling a bit tired.
“I am a psychopathic bitch who is extremely possessive of anything that I deem of as mine; my husband being one of the most important things that belong to me. And since he is neither here nor does he know about what kind of person you are so I am going to deal with you.” Xin Qian smirked, her otherwise calm and serene emerald green eyes held so much fury at present that the fire from her eyes could burn the Aunty Rong alive.
Xin Qian bent down a little, to the face level of Aunty Rong. She grabbed a handful of her hair and pulled it painfully, “What do you think that the person pulling your strings will be able to kill what’s mine? You think that I will let them? You know I don’t care how many pawns your master has, I am not sure about how powerful he or she is but the things that I am sure about are that your fellow mates will join you here sooner or later and that I won’t let you people cause harm to even a strand of Wang Yong’s hair!”
Aunty Rong was too terrified to speak. Xin Qian let go off her hair and put a gag in her mouth, she then sealed it with a piece of tape. Though she knew that nobody would ever visit this side of the city for it was famous for being haunted after people working in the warehouse died when the warehouse had caught fire, everything was burnt and many people died and hence it was was abandoned and considered to be haunted as people believed that ghosts and souls of the dead wander here, but Xin Qian didn’t want to take any risk so she took the necessary measure so that Aunty Rong won’t be able to scream.
Xin Qian then injected Propofol into Aunt Rong’s nerve making her fall unconscious. “I may have an idea of what I am going to stand against but your master doesn’t know who he is going to face. I assure you that I am going to be your master’s most dreadful nightmare. Goodbye, for now, Aunty Rong, goodbye.” Xin Qian said as she watched Aunty Rong eyes close.
****************
After locking the cellar, Xin Qian and her friends were now standing outside the warehouse where they had parked their cars.
“Can you look into this? I am too tired to do anything now.” Xin Qian said leaning against her car.
“You don’t have to ask, we already are investigating this case.” told Li Yi Feng.
“You just relax sweetheart.” Julian said, “And don’t worry about this, okay.”
Xin Qian closed her eyes and let out a sigh, “I can’t help but worry about him. You know he’s become an important part of life. I don’t know when it happened but it did.”
Arianna nodded and hooked her arm with Julian’s as she laid her head on his shoulder, “I know. These kinds of relationships don’t work on logic, babe.”
“Let’s go back home, you and you need to sleep.” Regina said pointing at Dylan and Xin Qian.
“Especially you Qi Qi, we don’t want a zombie-like bride now, do we? You should get your beauty sleep otherwise you are gonna have bags under your eyes.” giggled Dylan jumping off the bonnet of the car.
“Aish this guy!” Abigail made a face and smacked Dylan’s head making others laugh while Dylan huffed out a breath and pouted like a 5-year-old.
