Hold My Hand Dont Let Me Go - Chapter 11
The driver of Mrs. Zhou trembles as he tries to assess the atmosphere inside the car containing the mother of Samantha and Jonathan.
The silence of the two makes him scared because they would normally be buzzing about the latest rumors and gossips in their community, but ever since they got out from the hospital to visit their missus Samantha; the ladies haven’t shared any word at all.
They just continuously stared outside the city, as if some kind of interesting parade is taking place.
“Sis, I can’t wait till tomorrow after all.” It was Mrs. Zhou who broke the uncomfortable silence first.
“I’ve read the comments about my daughter this morning and I just can’t stand not doing anything. Even her hard work when she was in New York was being questioned and laugh at. My dear Samantha doesn’t deserve these slanders.” Mrs. Zhou informed her closest friend, Mrs. Quan, after contemplating in these few hours.
“I was actually thinking the same thing. I just can’t imagine that that mistress of my son is living well, while Samantha is shouldering all the hate of those ignorant buffoons. I’m sure Samantha would understand that what we’re doing is what’s best for her.” Mrs. Quan replied positively to what Mrs. Zhou wanted to do.
Getting the approval of her friend, Mrs. Zhou immediately dialed the number of her secretary.
“Mmm. Release the articles.”

Meanwhile, Samantha frantically dials all the numbers of the reporters that her secretary gave. She’s been doing this ever since she got out of the hospital until she returns to her huge mansion.
She has contacted the biggest unto the smallest media companies, but none wants to publish her story in fear that the wrath of the Zhou’s and Quan’s would rain down on them. Especially since her point of view is degrading her reputation so much.
“I’m really sorry Ms. Zhou, but I can’t publish this.” One reporter immediately turns her down once they heard her self-deprecating story.
“Why? I’m giving you a story that would satisfy the curiosity of your audience! Just publish this and I’ll handle my family.” Samantha tried convincing the reporter, but he just apologized once again before ending the call.
“Another rejection” She heaves out in frustration as she grabs the nearest pillow in her bed and she then bury her head in it and let out a muffled scream.
Samantha plans to own up in the previous her’s actions, accepts her punishments and to immediately divorce Jonathan. Although she knows that doing this would damage her reputation to the fullest but being cursed at for a short amount of time is still better than losing everything and dying in a pitiful state.
Samantha just wants to be erased from the story and let the other cannon fodder take her place, but it seems that nothing is easy in this world.
Although she knows what’s going to happen in the future, she still can’t just act recklessly because her own family is the biggest antagonist in the novel. Samantha needs to Talk to Jonathan first, so he can handle the matters in his households, while she’ll try her hardest to handle hers.
But, her hands hover in Jonathan’s contact name for so long and she still can’t press the call button.
After all, even though she has seen the memories of Samantha and Jonathan together in her flashback and she has already caught a glimpse of him before she fainted.
To her, Jonathan is still that unattainable perfect main lead in the novel that she has been fantasizing about.
The book has always emphasized the gorgeous looks of the main lead and how drool worthy he is. Imagine talking to a man described as someone who looks like he was out of some webtoon.
Samantha just can’t do it.
But before she can even contact Jonathan, the said man has already burst into her room’s door with his eyes still as cold as ice and his temper blasting like fire.
