Hold My Hand Dont Let Me Go - Chapter 4
“Nathan, you’re finally here.” Samantha intimately said while she purposely ignores the woman beside Jonathan.
“I’m so glad you made it.” She then grabs his hands “Aunt and Mom has been looking for you for so long. Let’s go” Samantha immediately grabs Jonathan, that forcefully made him let go of his hold on the woman he’s with.
Helplessly, he lets Samantha drag him to where his mother is. But he soon realized that she’s probably lying about his mother wanting to meet him, because he soon found him and Samantha standing alone at their used to be hideout. Their secret place where nobody else knew how to get to.
“What do you want?” he coldly asks as he immediately forces his hands out of her grip.
“You. I just want to talk to you” Samantha replied “Nathan, can’t you please just hear me out?” she desperately said as her hands tried to reach out to his, but before she could even get a hold of his palm, Jonathan has already taken a step back.
“No matter what explanation you say, nothing would change. Samantha, I love Yasmin.” He exasperatedly answered as he turns his back preparing to go back to where his lover is, but before he could even take another step, Samantha reached out her arms and tightly hugs Jonathan. Making him freeze in his feet.
“That’s not true Nathan, you promise to only love me. I know I was wrong to leave you, but I also had no choice.” Samantha utters in between her tears. Her loneliness in the five years that she wasn’t with Jonathan suddenly burst out. She’s finally back to him, but why can’t they go back to the way they we’re before? Samantha just can’t accept that the man she loves doesn’t want her anymore.
But reality slaps her in the face when Jonathan purposely untangled her hold on him.
“I’m sorry Samantha, but I have Yasmin now. I was devastated when you left me and she’s the only one who helped me get back on my feet. I love her.” Jonathan honestly said, his voice devoid of any love when he said her name but full of warmth when he utters Yasmin’s. Samantha clenched her fist so tight that her long nails ended up harming her hands.
She once again watched Jonathan’s cold back as he left until he’s no longer visible. Her knees soon gave away as she started trembling in grief. She just started crying when she remembers that she still needs to close the party before she can go back to the comfort of her bed to cry freely.
Using her hands and cellphone, she tried to fix her appearance. Gladly, her make-up is waterproof that she didn’t looked like a huge mess. The only gave away that she cried is the redness and puffiness of her eyes, but she can just say that she’s just tired that would give her a reason to end the damned party.

One her way back, Samantha heard her name being called by the hired host, so she quickens her pace to get back to the venue immediately and when she finally got to the party, all the guest’s attention once again shifts to her.
They we’re all smiling at her, but this time they we’re mouthing congratulations at the same time. Samantha was confused, the atmosphere seems to still be joyous, but this time, everyone seems to be looking at her like a prey. Seemingly excited to get into her good grace.
“Mom, what’s wrong?” Samantha asks when she saw her mother at the side, smiling at her proudly.
Her mother didn’t immediately reply, but instead crushed her into a hug.
“Ahhh, my little princess is finally growing up. I’m so proud of you honey.” her mom lovingly whispered in her ears.
“What? Mom, I don’t understand.” Samantha still confusingly asked.
“Silly girl” Jonathan’s mother that was beside her mom teasingly said as she holds Samantha’s hands. “Welcome to the family.” She lovingly said before she too gave her a tight hug.
This time, Samantha is completely confused. Thankfully, she saw her older brother beside Jonathan’s mom and gave him a knowing look; obviously asking him the event that happened when she was gone.
Her older brother who always loves doting on her, heave out a deep sight before he narrated the announcement that their parents made.
“Quan family and our parents just announced the future merge of both companies and your upcoming marriage to Jonathan.” Her brother lazily said. “Truthfully, that Jonathan doesn’t deserves you.” He whispered but wasn’t heard by the dazed Samantha.
“Marriage? Me and Nathan?” She shockingly asked, and her brother gloomily nodded.
The moment Samantha got the answer that she wants, her heart started to pound fast as her eyes quickly search for Jonathan. When she saw him at the back, trying to coax his crying date. Instead of feeling pity or alarmed, a smile appeared in her lips.
