Holy Dragon Totem - Chapter 33
Before one talked about Totem Talisman Masters one has to speak about Totem Spirit Masters.
The ancestors collected large amounts of totem patterns from Life Totems and source beast totems.
They drew these totem patterns using Spirit Sword Brushes onto weapons.
These weapons which were created from top spiritual mine metals along with the power of totems, became filled with killing strength. It even had some special killing qualities.
For example the most simple Flying Eagle Sword had penetrative ability.
To become a Totem Spirit Master one had to be a Totem Martial Master first.
If one could craft weapons to sell, with the price of the totem god weapons on the market, the Totem Spirit Master would become exceptionally rich.
As for cultivation, one needs large amount of resources. For a rich cultivator their progress will be even faster.
So all Totem Martial Masters would like to try it out to see if they had talents to become a Totem Spirit Master.
However the talents of one was quite rare. Normally out of ten thousand Totem Martial Masters there would be one Totem Spirit Master.
What was even rarer than Totem Spirit Masters are Totem Talisman Masters.
They would draw totem patterns onto thin talisman paper. This needed even higher attainments and had even higher requirements for one’s talent.
In this world, apart from Totem God Weapons there was something with scary killing intent which were totem talismans.
A talisman paper with different totem patterns would have unimaginable killing strength.
Most talismans also had special effects.
Talismans were a one time use product. A large portion supported a one time killing ability.
The key was that when a weaker person exploded a totem talisman, they would find it easier to kill a person stronger than if one held a totem god weapon.
After all talismans were easy to use and the strength of the god weapon wasn’t that easy to utilise.
Which resulted in powerful people needing to purchase totem talismans to their children to use to save their lives, their effects being better than weapons.
This resulted in the price of totem talismans becoming more expensive.
Which also caused a Totem Talisman Master which was one out of a hundred thousand to be even richer!
Talismans were luxury items.
Even the most simple ones.
Now Jiang Zizai noticed that this Xiao Youshan was actually a Totem Talisman Master.
No wonder even Nangong Que had to treat him respectfully.
He could only say that he was envious of him.
It was said that a Totem Spirit Master needed just a spiritual sword brush.
As for Totem Talisman Masters, they needed the four literature treasures-brush, ink, paper, inkstone.
Brush was a spirit wood brush, like the one that students used. Of course it in itself was a totem god weapon, the brush portion was from the fur of a source beast.
Ink was made out of top grade spiritual medicine.
Paper was talisman paper. The demands were even higher, basically spiritual medicine level trees ground into paste.
Inkstones were a little simpler. It was a type of spiritual mine ore but it was best if there were totem patterns which will make things more efficient.
These arrangements sounded really complicated and really high class. It was said that to Totem Talisman Masters these were all personal treasures.
Night fell, to take care of the two of them, the four people rested on the spot.
Xiao Youshan sat on a thick tree branch, his back on the tree. That Shadow Leopard corpse was already dealt with, left with the leather which was on his hand.
He placed the blood red colored leather which was still shining in the darkness onto the tree branch and started to observe those patterns. He was fully focused.
Who knows when but a black ancient looking brush had appeared on his hand. There wasn’t any ink on it but when he was analysing it, the brush was drawing in the air.
Although there was no ink but it was able to form ripples in the air. It was really weird.
“Boss this is really tiring, I am going to go cultivate.” Lu Dingxing was hungry, directly barbecuing the Shadow Leopard. Jiang Zizai was also split a portion of it.
He had reached the Sixth Stage of the Martial Life Realm long ago.
After learning that Jiang Zizai had caught up, he became more diligent in his cultivation.
He also wanted to save his father out from the Imperial Jail.
Jiang Zizai originally wanted to cultivate but he was attracted by Xiao Youshan’s actions. In this deep night, those blood red patterns and the spiritual wood brush’s strangeness made him look on deliciously.
He could roughly understand a bit of it.
Actually during these few years he filled himself with knowledge from books. After all he didn’t need to cultivate and had nothing to do. Although he couldn’t do poems but he was skilled at calligraphy and drawing.
Jiang Yunting would praise his works when he returned from his missions.
“Isn’t this Totem Talisman Master just calligraphy and drawing? Who knows, maybe I could do it too?”
Of course this was just his thinking. After all he also knew that for there to be one out of hundred thousand, it was simply too tough.
When he was drunk and engrossed in it, suddenly someone knocked his shoulder. Jiang Zizai turned his head, an absolutely beautiful face was inches away. The moment he looked right into her eyes he lost his focus. He even had an urge to embrace the beauty in front of him.
“Little cutey follow me, let’s find a place with no one.” Jiu Xian’s voice wrapped around his ears.
“Okay.”
He agreed even without thinking. He stood up and followed the petite body in front of him, walking deep into the forest in this dark night.
Although it was dark but the white dress woman in front of him, her skin seemed like it was covered in a layer of pearl powder, shining in the dark. When she turned around her head and smiled, it was just so amazing.
Xiao Youshan and Lu Dingxng couldn’t see this area. Beside it was a small river, river water flowing and giving out a dripping sound. Jiang Zizai’s heartbeat increased quickly.
“Sit here, sister will teach you how to cultivate.”
Jiu Xian smiled, that smile was enough to pierce through his heart. Only then did he notice that the white little fox at her forehead seemed to have came alive. It was twisting and looking over at him.
He sat on the green stone, Jiu Xian followed suit. She curved her silky legs and sat pretty much laying on him.
The moonlight scattered down on the two of them, the atmosphere instantly becoming thicker and more intense.
“Close your eyes and sense Heaven and Earth.”
Jiu Xian smiled.
Jiang Zizai was a little alert and stared widely at her.
“If you don’t listen I will tickle you.” She reached out her hands and locked onto his waist.
He jolted. Although their skin weren’t touching but this beauty was truly and alluring devil.
He could only listen and close his eyes, listening to what she said to sense Heaven and Earth, to stabilise and nurture the Black Dragon True Qi. He used the Dragon Swallowing Absorbing Technique to let his fifth Spiritual Orifice, the Guanyuan Acupoint to become more stable.
“Oh, you opened the Guanyuan Acupoint, no wonder you are so manly.” Jiu Xian suddenly dotted on his Guanyuan Acupoint. That position was already really close, his face couldn’t help but turn red.
“Haha, your face is already red. So pure.”
Jiang Zizai was simply annoyed and said, “Don’t sprout nonsense. I am a playboy, I do bad things everyday.”
“Is that so? Then what bad things can you do to me?” Jiu Xian raised her chin and looked at him provocatively.
Under the moonlight the snow white skin on her chest as well as that slightly revealed cleavage, that was simply the most beautiful sight in the world.
“I?” Jiang Zizai was stunned. She was so much stronger than him what did he dare do!
Looking at him like that she laughed non stop. She really looked good.
“Okay I will stop making fun of you. Continue, let’s try some special things.”
Jiang Zizai had no choice but to follow.
Actually he trusted her, after all she saved his life.
When he calmed down and entered the cultivation state, he seemed to be much calmer.
That little fellow which was standing straight and firm slowly calmed down.
Under the moonlight Jiu Xian looked at the teen whose eyes were closed, she was totally fixated on him.
She stretched out her finger and dotted on his Black Dragon Totem.
Suddenly she moaned, that magical voice made Jiang Zizai burn up once more.
Hu hu…
All of a sudden it seemed like the effects of the Dragon Swallowing Absorbing Technique had increased by several folds. Large amounts of Heaven and Earth essence qi gathered towards his body.
He didn’t understand why there were such changes but it was obvious that this process actually made his cultivation of the Nine Extreme Dragon Drill Technique rise swiftly.
Not only did it stabilise the Spiritual Orifice, it also rotated the Black Dragon True Qi, swift and efficient.
He didn’t open his eyes. If he did he could see clearly that more of it was gathered on Jiu Xian’s body. All of a sudden her body gave off a crystal-like moonlight glow. Heaven and Earth essence qi formed like that of a mist around her, merging into her body through her snow skin.
At her brow, that white little fox raised its head, opening its mouth and directly swallowed and absorbed the vast essence qi.
Such a magical scene was not seen or heard by anyone. Jiang Zizai had already entered a meditative state.
He didn’t know what had happened, just roughly that Jiu Xian was helping him to cultivate.
At this time he was only filled with gratitude. He was also thinking about how his thoughts before were a little disrespectful to her.
Such improvement speed exceeded his imagination.
Time passed.
“It is morning, time to go little lazy bug.” Suddenly someone smacked his face. Only then did he wake up. Jiu Xian smiled and looked at him.
Jiang Zizai stood up and looked at the world around. He suddenly felt that his senses became clearer.
“Last night is our secret, don’t tell it to anyone.” When he came down from the stone, she softly whispered into his ear.
“If others find out I won’t talk to you anymore.”
She raised her fist and threatened him. That petite look was really cute.
At this moment Jiang Zizai felt like the intelligence he prided himself in seem to turn into nothing in front of her.
